Again a very crisp, to the point and accurate analysis. I have realised that Aayush Tanwar is not a automobile analyst, but actually an addiction. You are really so scientific. Great dear, keep going, the way you are moving. Thank you for detailed analysis. This is Extremely helpful for me (people like me) who is on the edge of making decision and keeps going back and forth. You are doing a fantastic job and I am looking forward to more videos from you (specially ev series and if possible please make one for telengana state)
Hi Aayush, I am following since month ago. Planning for Grand Vitara Sigma. The way you go in depth, it's like you giving us diamond value conclusions. I am also Automobile engg & same way I explained to my friend who thinking to buy strong hybrid, but not on paper/excel like you. Your the pro. Keep doing the same. GBU.
Good details given I was waiting for this details I am from hyderabad and travel to office 106 km per day 40/60 highway/city . I have beleno diesel alpha which gives 22km/ltr which is 6.5yrs old. Looking to change my car. This review will help me in taking decision. But you have not mentioned battery replacement cost after it warranty completed. Diesel cars don't have any...
Yeah Bro Do not sell your diesel maruti cars Which are the best and can last for almost 5.5 lakh km Don't why maruti stopped making diesel engine I literally need maruti diesel engine back
A few weeks back, I did the same analysis. I dropped the hybrid model after the analysis and later dropped mild Hybrid after the recent review of 1.5 Lt engine of Vitara/Hyrydr. Booking Creta now :-) However, I liked the hype created by Toyota and Maruti. They might fall flat in a few years. Thanks for an amazing analysis.
@@umairarifshaikh5095 The Hyryder/ Grand Vitara platform is the Global C platform ( Also called Suzuki Tect platorm) which already scored 4 star Global NCAP safety rating in Suzuki Breeza and Toyota Urban Cruiser. With more safety features, Hyryder / Grand Vitara is widely expecte to score more a high 4* Global NCAP rating or even 5*.
Problem with this analysis is the ARAI claimed mileage values. For non-hybrid Maruti Automatic the mileage is claimed to be around 20 kmpl, which is not even close to what you'd get in real life. For example consider XL6 which has the same engine and transmission as Hyryder/Grand Vitara, and it's claimed mileage is also around 20kmpl. But in real world tests people have found out that the actual mileage it gives is around 11-13kmpl. So that would be the same case for Hyryder/Grand Vitara as well. Now for the hybrid variants, the claimed mileage is around 27kmpl. And in real world tests so far people are indeed getting around 22-24kmpl, some are even getting as high as 26kmpl. So the actual mileage of hybrid variants is roughly twice more than that of non-hybrid Automatic. Which makes hybrid more economical for sure.
Very good analysis. My friend have sonet and he get milega in city 10-12. And his monthly spend on fuel is 7000-8000 so if he will purchase hyryder than gel will save per year 42000 and in a 10 year 4 lakh max. And also hybrid looks more premium and futurestic. You can't compare with petrol car.
@@tanmaysinha9632 13 - 14 in city. A person maximum car run is city so hybrid city milege is 23-24 so approx twise as brezza. And you can't compare with brezza with grand vitara, just go near nexa showroom you feel grnad vitara roade presence.
What a great review brother. It explains in simple terms who all should invest in hybrid car . I was thinking of hybrid but my running is quite low and when I calculated as per ur calculations, I will take around 10 years to break even . Thanks man
Very comprehensive review covering major aspects on fuel economy, pros and cons of using Petrol vs Hybrid vs Diesel vehicles. Higher pricing of Hybrid vehicles will not be able to justify its usage and hence recommended.
Thanks for such a detailed comparison. I was also confused between these engines. Shall I go petrol only as I have avg daily running of 20 to 30 km / day ?
Fantastic job. Kindly add one more point as to why one should buy a car in first place ( meaning a sedan or hatchback or a suv) most don't know this fact. Real value is when you get the value back after using for en number of years.
Hi bro, Good explanation. Kindly advise me which one I choose, I have 17-19 L budget Yearly 4000-5000 km running NRI Milage, safety, average boot space reqd. Less maintenance charge reqd. Currently I am using Tiago. I am looking NeoDrive V or Hybrid G. Which one I need to select.
In real life neo will give 12-13 kmpl , hybrid will give around 20 kmpl , (both in city traffic) . now calculate plus after 8-10 or may be 12 yrs , hybrid battery might need replacement which cost 2-2.5 lacs now and after around 10 yrs whatever its price happens to be , we can't say .
Yearly 5000 km running translates to 13-14 km daily. Plus you need avg boot space, less maintenance. I think the Neodrive would be more suitable considering your requirements.
Even though as a developing nation we might be more focused on mileage and running costs but Toyota hybrid focuses on technology innovation and environment. It is a less polluting vehicle which should be also appreciated and some folks (very less) buy it for that reason.
My daily running is 75km and I offer carpool which earns me an average of 400 rs per day. Planning to buy Hyryder Hybrid S variant which will cost me around 17L on-road.
Me and my friend both bought honda amaze diesel and petrol cars respectively Our daily running is 110km in which diesel comes 650km of range on full tank @ 22km mileage of 30 liter tank capacity of 3000 rs full tank diesel Where petrol come 450 km of range of full tank @ 15km mileage of 30 liter tank capacity of 3700 rs full tank petrol So diesel car makes senses 200 km extra running 800 rs I'm saving on full tank diesel Plus diesel resale value is good It can run uptp 500000 km with proper service
Lovely video, Quirky and Brilliant comments, maja agaya. But please add Resale value (Approx as per market trends) I believe, Hybrid will have more resale value than any ICE cars after 5 - 8 years.

Good analysis, 2 cents from my side: - Hyryder V smart hybrid variant and V hybrid variant has difference in feature as well, that should also be adjusted from the cost. - Petrol inflation is not adjusted, it's not right to calculate future savings basis today's rates - Finally, now there are official tested on road mileage figures available that should be considered in place of ARAI mileage, the actual mileage in city is somewhere around 15 vs 23 Also, if you look closely mild hybrid V variant is comparable to strong hybrid G variant and then the difference comes to 40-50k which is nothing and taking a strong hybrid G @17.5 lacs looks like a steal deal. Let me know your thoughts!
What an in-depth analysis, clearly it opens the eyes of the buyer, one has to think and buy, not just go by what is marketed by car companies. At the end of the day it’s individual choice. Your analysis was fantastic and one should factor before buying any vehicle

Nicely discription, you have gone deeply to decide the running cost of all theses types of vehicles, thank you so much for this comparative information, but I like powerful & economical Diesel car, best is Swift.
Nice analysis Ayush. However, the Hyryder top models may not be appropriate in the first place to compare as the feature set is different, and one is not paying 1.9 L extra ONLY for hybrid technology.....IMO we need to take out the cost of addittional features (like ventilated seats, TPMS, HUD, wireless charging) first to take the actual diff in the two technologies to compare, which comes out to be a lot less than 1.9L ex-showroom.
Yes, the cost is not entirely for the hybrid technology. Kia and Creta top models are also in the Rs 18.X -19.X Lakh range, without hybrid. Still Tanwar's analysis is very scientific and commendable. I would say his vlog helps us make informed choices.

If you are buying an automatic Creta at Rs. 15.58, would it not make better sense to buy S model at Rs. 15.11?
Why not go for 100 times better cars like virtus , xuv or scorpioN at similar prices
Consider safety, too. Pick Astor or kushaq.
