BEST GIRL AZULA IS HERE!! - Avatar The Last Airbender Book 2 Episode 1 & 2 REACTION!
I just now noticed it, but Aang actually has tears in his eyes when he tries to dissuade General Fong from killing Katara. My boy was really afraid of losing her 😢
It's a few episodes ago but I recently noticed that in the episode aang meets Bumi again at the end when he realizes who he is and says "bumi you're a mad genius" aang has tears in his eyes then as well. He was so happy to see him😭.
Based in traditional japanese culture, cutting of the top knot was considered a renouncement of title, social status, and pride. So essentially, they were renouncing their royalty.
Similarly, this hair change showing status is also present in Zuko where his head is shaved after his banishment (other than his pony).
In the hair cutting scene I always see it as they are now litteraly cutting ties with their family.
It's also accepting shame, and renonce to the noblesse title.
It's Chinese tradition. The knot/bun symbolizes their social status. They're basically cutting everything off, renouncing their honor, status, family, country and pride.
It doesn't mean a new start or a new life, it means abandonment and it is seen as a shameful act, but they've got nothing to lose because they're already marked as traitors for attacking the royalty and escaping imprisonment.
10:57 "how can you let that slip" uh oh. Her inner Azula is coming out. Jk
Book 2 really proves Cara is Azula
@@CaraPrezReacts Yeah but not as much as you are Sokka, Prez 😂 It's uncanny how often you say what he is about to say before he says it, and in like a similar tone 🤣🤣
I love that for all his wisdom and experience, when it comes to tea all bets are off with Iroh😂
Book 2 is like the Empire Strikes Back of this series, in more ways than one.
So what movies are book 1&3 like?
Not spoiler:
The moon is the original waterbender
Badgermoles are the original earthbenders
Flying bison are the original airbenders, in fact that's why Appa can fly, and you can see some airbending displays of Appa during season 1.
And I don't want to confirm or deny anything on the firebending original benders, that is not mentioned so far.
I will never not love how calm Iroh when he was like "If the rash spreads to my throat, I will suffocate"
Bro isn't phased by anything anymore 😂
Well in season 1, "At my age, there's only one big surprise left and I'd just as soon leave it a mystery." The guy's been at peace with potential death whenever it comes for a long time
We can actually see Aang earthbend a bit in the second episode. Bro managed to dig a hole for himself only by talking.
This joke has been made a million times, but it never gets old.
Prez if she feels bad about appa this episode, i can already see whaat happens on yk what episode.
👀👀
SECRET TUNNEEEEL~ SECRET TUNNEEEEL~
Yup, It stays in your head for Weeks!! X'D
Nah nah nah, now we’re gaslighting? Oh this is good comedy unlike season 1’s comedy for “kids”? Please spare me, the comedy has always been good. Stop putting down season 1 unnecessarily just to praise season 2. It’s really okay to praise both seasons even if season 2 is even better.
Theres many ti,es where katara shows interest in aang either by word or behavior
I never realized people didnt see this until i started watchfjn reactions and apparently alot of people dont see it
Maybe on first watch you ,miss some of it
But as someone whose watched this show from first to last episode over 30 times it couldnt be more obvious lol and i think they are great together but
Tfw you realize Azula is voiced by freakin Vicky from The Fairly Oddparents
12:51 "was that tubig" The Filipina in you is slipping 🤣
Yes my favorite book of the series. U guys will not regret it.
I’ll say Book two is my favorite one but I know book 3 is the best. I’m ready to cry with you guys.
Don't mind me, I'm just here for the algorithm
me too
Always appreciated❤️
Same
book 2 and 3 are both incredible, but I have to vote book 3 because how well they stuck the landing.
1 episode per week ain't it guys.
15:07 Some context that might help:
Water Tribe is inspired by Inuit and Aboriginal culture.
Earth Kingdom is inspired by dynastic China.
Fire Nation is inspired by Imperial Japan so you’re correct.
Air Nomads are inspired by Tibet and Buddhist culture.
Air nomads are basically Tibetans. They're not that similar to Nepalis though
@@atharwamalawade259 True. I edited my og comment to reflect that.
to add on to that fun fact: *_you're right_* , but there are some other cultures that make small appearances regardless of the general idea for each nation. Like Song ( the girl from the Earth Kingdom who helped Zuko and Iroh in S2E2 ) is Korean based off of her name and clothing attire (she and her mother wear a Hanbok), as well as maybe the Yuyan Archers that chase down Aang for Zhao apparently but not confirmed.
**Semi Spoiler for Characters yet not seen for Cara**

The Sun Warriors are also Native American just like the Water Tribe is, but obviously from different parts of America. The Sun Warriors are probably a blend of MesoAmerican/native tribes with some elements of South East Asia. Guru Pathik is also seemingly South Asian despite being affiliated with Air Nation. The Sand benders are based off of seemingly Tuareg people/the Middle East even though they are from an Earth Kingdom territory. There's actually such an insane amount of different cultures represented in Avatar that wasn't typical for a 2000s animated show.
It's funny the top knot is a Chinese tradition that was passed to the Japanese as well tho.
Crazy his nobody points out or probably almost nobody here knows what it means to cut off the top knot. It's the ultimate shameful act, it's not a new start, it's abandoning your life.
@@me.nace.and then there are some modern day Floridians
29:12 there’s been multiple times throughout season 1 where she expressed great care for Aang and has shown that she’d be open to it, like at the end of the FortuneTeller ep, among other times, but Cara is right in saying that the relationship hasn’t really developed like that.
My greatest gripe with kataang 😅
finally azula lovers
i just noticed that General Fong is voiced by Daniel Dae Kim, how did it take me so many years to realize this?
-Azula- -and- -Sokka- Cara and Prez with another Avatar vid 🥳
Katana had the thought planted in her head that Ang could be the powerful bender she would be with in her future by the fortune teller
15:00 confirmed big dawg
It's actually quite funny, we see elsewhere that most Avatars only use the Avatar state for a brief moment to power themselves up (like in the flashback in Avatar Day) whereas with Aang it takes him over. At this point of the story Aang hasn't mastered the avatar state, the Avatar State is mastering him.
i absolutely love this show🤣🤣
Best girl, more like hot girl😘
Secret Tuneeeeeeelllll.... 🤪
It would be SOOOO COOL to actually see a reactor watch some interviews or COMICONS with all the VA grown up. Tophs VA did a reaction series called Tea Time with Toph where she reacted to all three season, and the VAs are of Korra and Zuko do a podcast together called Braving the Elements and it’s all things Avatar. They even just had the VA you of Aang on there the other day, it was very cool.
Asula best girl? She even do not reach the top 5. But you will see (and love it 😊)
You like Mai and Ty Lee over Azula?
@@Kickinthescience yes, and Toph, Katara, Suki too.
