the fire nation wrestler isnt actually from the fire nation, hes an earthbender playing the part of the "heel" in wrestling: basically playing the part of villain for the wrestling story
Also, he’s Russian because a lot of the time in wrestling the “heel” would be a nationalistic Russian guy to go up against the baby faced American hero
Fun fact about heels, many become the good guys. Fire Nation Man is in a prime position to step up. By the end of the series, a certain someone is good fuel for his career AND what if he trained him? 👀 FNM would be unstoppable!
Katara: We know Kyoshi is innocent! Kyoshi: I killed him. Katara: .........Okay, but she probably feels terrible about it! Kyoshi: And I'd do it again if I had to. Katara: ......................
"Avatar Day" might seem like a bit of a random episode, but it's quite crucial that we learn that the Avatar has taken drastic measures to preserve peace in the past as well as what kind of abilities a fully realized Avatar can have, moving entire landmasses and stuff.
Fun fact: the reason Kiyoshi had fans despite being from the Earth nation, was her mother was an air bender. She was so powerful she needed the fans to do more precise bending.
Yes, the Boulder is inspired by The Rock, and he is voiced by professional wrestler Mick Foley who was one of The Rock's tag team partners. Fire Nation Man isn't actually from the Fire Nation. He is filling the classic professional wrestling trope of the foreign heel, a bad guy character that runs down the host country that's usually from a geopolitical rival.
Toph is such an amazing character. Her blindness is a flaw, but by no means a weakness. It's actually more like a strength to her, which makes her the greatest earthbender. And what's even more amazing, due to her way of using earthbending to see, you tend to forget that she is actually blind, which leads so several funny scenes in the rest of the series. Have fun with this great character. Imo she is on par with uncle Iroh. :)
With Toph, it's where the story really started taking off imo. Can't say best charaker because everyone is best charakter in the show. But she enhances the show soooo much!
I really wanted to see Cara's reaction when they revealed Toph's height. That was great cinematography the way they pan from a bird's eye view to a worm's eye view then transitions to the next shot where she's standing next to the ring girl ot even reaching half her height highlighting her stature only to contrast it with how powerful she is. This is the kind of character introduction that sticks to you.
Though the funny thing is that in this show, height is super variable. If you put uncle Iroh or Zuko next to those women, they'd also be much shorter than them. Those women in the ring are HUGE. lol
the way cara enjoys female characters is another reaason i think she would like the legend of korra 🤩, also korra doesnt have filler silly episodes (which isnt always bad to have silly episodes but still)

That’s how you know the creators grew up with wwf/wwe
Katara: We know Kyoshi is innocent!
Kyoshi: I killed him.
Katara: .........Okay, but she probably feels terrible about it!
Kyoshi: And I'd do it again if I had to.
Katara: ......................
Kyoshi to Aang: And you should too if it would bring peace ✌️😅😅
The way Toph's seismic sense is revealed is so awesome
Aww man, you cut out my favorite part:
Earth Kingdom kids: Yeah, you better leave! 😠
Katara: Hey! I've got my eye on you. 😑
Sokka: *WaTeR tRiBe* 😏
THE BOULDER approves of this reaction video 👌

Yes, and we learn where best girl#2-3 is.
And the origin of the word "Justice"
I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying seeing the both of you react to this season, Your dynamic is impeccable 🤌
The Boulder is meant to be a parody of The Rock, but he's actually voiced by wrestler Mick Foley (aka Cactus Jack, Mankind, etc).
Many of Toph’s forms are similar to mantis kung fu, which was created for self defense by a blind woman
Fun fact: the reason Kiyoshi had fans despite being from the Earth nation, was her mother was an air bender. She was so powerful she needed the fans to do more precise bending.
1:28 Why tf are the captions "YUP, YUP!" 😂
23:24 Cara flipping the camera off unintentionally 😂
The voice of THE BOULDER is wrestling legend Mick Foley. Mick Foley, doing The Rock, doing Macho Man Randy Savage.
"he's so tiny"
Actually, Kyoshi's like... 6'5"
Kyoshi is said to be 7ft tall. She also lived until the age of 230

Good ear Prez, that was indeed James Hong. Man has been in everything.
Boomerang ! You do always come back
Such an amazing character-driven episode

The main character has finaly joined the crew :D
The best character is here!!!!!
Of course I'm talking about THE BOULDER
The Boulder feels conflicted......
10:38 "Aang's looking pretty weak" - let's talk again about that after the finale. 😁
This is the episode I'll be following onwards
Shame we never saw Sherlock Sokka again in the show. He was so damn funny.
The show just gets better and better from here
I can't wait for all the blind jokes 😂
Well a blind guy will never see wind xD 😂
Never clicked so fast, woohoo!!

THE BLIND MELON LORD
let the blind jokes begin
"Hope is something you give yourself" - Iroh´s quotes hits every time again and again and again
TOPH! 💕

One of my two favorite episodes. The blind bandit

Shame Korra was kind of awful in comparison
@@temporal_paradox for you sure... when prez reacted to it he said he doesnt understand the hate and he liked it. We dont need ur negativity here
Yes aang is 12!! remember yall 😭 no disrespect to my child!!
First
Blind jokes lets go!
It's the fact that he was supposed to be boiled in oil, but instead, they were given raw dough 😂
