im unsure how to feel abt the theater caller, ash! her talking abt how cool she and her friends are, how she’s “real friends” with the seniors and Amelie isn’t, and them calling amelie a "clinical narcissist" made me think she was probably in the wrong, although it's hard to tell tone from the call. but on the other hand amelie making a self-proclaimed burn book and ranking everyone else is clearly bizarre. her not being talented isn't pertinent info, although i get that if she talks a big game but isnt skilled that would be annoying. idk!!!! seems like it might be a true mean girls sitch where all parties involved end up being assholes lol

Miles was right for having his alarm bells go off, the theater girl gave off mean girl vibes! It was her saying “ugh and she’s not even really friends with her mentor LIKE I AM” that turned me off. That is a statement only an insecure person would say. And talking so much about hanging with the seniors, it’s Insecure freshman energy, being so obsessed with securing your place in the group. It’s giving high school.
I appreciate how Miles keeps it real and holds the callers accountable.
Rainie is right about "Salut", Will is thinking of "Salud" with a *d*; that IS a word in Spanish that does mean "health", "bless you" (after someone sneezes) and "cheers" all at the same time, and it just depends on context which meaning is used.
So glad someone said this bc if you know both forms to exist it’s easy to realize that they’re both right but they just don’t know which form the other is talking about.
It does sound like rainie is saying salut but if you only know the Spanish form you’d think she was just saying salud wrong. Will obviously doesn’t know about Salut & rainie clearly doesn’t know enough to confidently defend herself.

the second caller situation is so messy. i can see a lot of myself in the other person, freshman year of college is really hard for everyone and i can’t imagine the additional insecurities that come out with a talent based major like that. i’d advise the caller to just practice some empathy for the other person and to not be so critical. saying some of us are friends with her and some of us are obsessed w her was really giving mean girl imo. and it kind of sounds like she is just jealous of you, she said that you are more confident than her and that is a huge compliment i think. just remember everyone is going through it freshman year, it’s a rough time

@@a_o011it was absolutely slander! Yes, he was also right. But the part that’s annoying is that he was trying to convince Rainie she was wrong and/or mispronouncing it. She wasn’t reacting to his rebuttals like that and just accepted that it might be a thing in Spanish too.
I'm 34 with a 9 year old and a 3 year old, dessert is an almost every night thing! We're all good little goblins and we deserve a sweet little treat! I didn't realize this wasn't a thing, and even felt bad on nights we didn't do it, until we started having dinner with our neighbor and their kids. They hardly have dessert! It blew my mind! Like, WHY?! 😂 My kids have never had a cavity, and they're little skinny things, I think it's a healthy way to eat. Food isn't a punishment, it's a joy! 🥰

Salut is the informal greeting, while bonjour is a formal greeting. You’d say salut to your friends or family, bonjour to strangers, professors, or colleagues. Salut Rainie ❤️

Recommendations to the dog walker:
- Feel free to let anyone know that your schedule is full and you are not currently taking on new clients (even if you are)
- Talk to the trainer about what kind of clients you are comfortable taking on! All the industry people I work with have an unspoken rule that we only recommend clients that we enjoy/would get along well with that other professional
- For walking and training, the best thing I ever did for my business was make it extremely clear what methods I use and market myself to my ideal clients. Dog training in the US is completely unregulated (so I'm glad you are getting a certification!) and there are a lot of differing opinions about training that don't always line up with science. I'm happy to work with people that are wanting to learn, but I don't sacrifice humane training methods to please a client that is determined to use "old school" methods regardless of the science.
Referring to the last Trypod, this podcast somehow is really heavily showcasing that Rainie and Miles are kind of the same person xD As Miles said, they are someone's last two brain cells lolol. I love them.

Very important to note that not everywhere in the world does womens rights exist. In many places including Mexico femicide exists & is unfortunately unbelievably common. So saying that the world is better now then back then bc of some of these reasons, may not be fully accurate in regards to actual 3rd world countries.
Even medical reasons like rainie said not everywhere has access to modern medicine.

Things not being the same across the world doesn't mean life isn't better in general. Like Miles said, atrocities do still happen, and as Will said, that perspective is easiest to hold when you live in a developed country, but a lot of things have improved for a lot of people.
@@Saxinfulright and I get that. But there are a ton of countries that have not evolved with the rest of the world. Especially with modern medicine. Maybe if someone where to give reasons as to why even super underdeveloped 3rd world countries are better than they were before I’ll agree.
But until then it is a blanket statement that so far the reasons given and the reasons I can think of personally don’t always apply to 3rd world countries.
Even people who have been imprisoned in the US for decades once they get out it’s a completely different world.
To me it’s too much of a generalized statement that mostly applies to the privilege that is developed countries.
TLDR; I guess I’d like to hear the opinion of someone from an actual 3rd world country say this versus someone from a developed country such like myself.

also the medical system fucks people over every day. access to healthcare is horrible and is responsible for so much suffering. blanket statements like that are ignorant of the huge systematic issues that impact the majority of people.
