It was about 5 minutes into the surprise party story when I realized that poor girl is still on the phone and hasn’t even asked her question because Miles is monologuing 😂
Nia the caller was such a real one. Whole-assed the “Howdy”, and waited 3-5 business days to hear the answer to a yes/no question (“have you ever had or thrown a surprise party”)
The person who gets unwanted comments about their body shape at work, "Girl, today isn't about me. Let's focus on finding the perfect wedding dress for you."
I was laughing crying when Eric said Sarah has nice feet and you just went silent and deadpan stared at each other 😂 absolutely great episode once again.
For a womens perspective on the body comments question- I used to work in service and I do think it takes a lot of courage to respond to these kinds of comments. One day I just felt the strength to respond “I know you mean well but I’m working. Please dont comment on my body.” That shut people right up when I was hosting and a cashier. For the boutique job it might be easiest to redirect and say “we’re here to celebrate you and your beauty”. I will say things are much harder when you’re waiting tables- our tipping system honestly just sucks and causes employees to take a lot of shit they shouldn’t have too. We will say it again for the kids in the back, NOT IN MY JOB DESCRIPTION 😅
I listened to this on my walk around my neighborhood, and I CHORTLED trying to keep my laugh in. Now I am the lone suburb lady who looks like I am weirdly smiling at nothing 🤭 great episode!
as a long time pmi patron, im crazy biased with this duo. the brotherhood is palpable- excited for the ep! loving the show so much. you’re killing it, miles!
Seriously I know nothing about him except for via miles (1st on guilty pleasures for the greatest showman and then here with will and now just miles) and just wow. These two are a dynamic duo. Keep Will but also keep Eric, miles!!
Hilarious episode, amazing energy! On an entirely different note, I often get the "you're hot/beautiful for a disabled person" (I know, so backhanded), I just go with the oh so simple "what's wrong with being disabled?" It always leaves them speechless and thinking. That's when I make my escape.
Absolutely the right response for a backhanded compliment. I wonder if it’s different when people are wedding cake shopping and trying to make a positive statement but are putting themselves down in the process…
@@zerocraic3966 Hmm, I wonder that too. I think it'd depend on who's making the comment (male or female presenting) and if they're putting themselves down while comparing. If it's the latter, it might be similar? Except that I kinda need to call out the ableism they're using to make themselves feel better. Which has happened with family members and acquaintances. So tricky and convoluted...and lots of emotional labour. That onion, it has layers!
@@grooovydeadite miles had a good point of if they’re bad at socializing AND it’s not hurtful to you, that it’s exhausting to correct everyone, but ofc not in ableist or antagonistic commentary. especially when their comment in the callers case is coming from a place of self hate, I think it’s harder to follow the same path as say if it was like in your case where it’d do blatantly backhanded to highlight your otherisms. For example I got a lot of “wow you’re so [positive adjective] for a [insert race/demonym/other characteristic I had no hand in choosing]” In those situations I make sure to be very clear like you were. But I also get comments on “how do you manage [certain thing], I can’t do it at all!” And I know it’s coming from a place of them comparing themselves negatively or a place of hurt, I usually don’t try to correct them for mis-valuing the thing their commenting on me about positively, I veer towards acknowledging the part they’re feeling bad about first But that’s in interpersonal settings. When I worked client facing, the callers/miles idea of just a batch, business related reply (“do you want this to go?”) is better than worrying about healing that person.
@@zerocraic3966agreed! When needed or in professional settings, you keep it short and positive. Whatever's easiest. Otherwise, if you have the energy, you call out whatever issue or you give them that epic one-liner and make your escape!
i have been binge watching every single episode daily since finding this channel Miles 😭 truly a work of art. i also have to say it honestly has been such a escape and relieve to me the past few days. i been dealing with some pretty emotional things but this podcast could have me laughing within 5 minutes of a breakdown no kidding 😂😂 anyways just thought you should know your podcast is helping people in tremendous ways, along with all the top notch perfect advice you’re dishing out ❤ stay perfect
I’m on my third listen of the day. I was wheezing so hard first time through we were at “get real” before I could even savor what happened. Never knew of Eric or his content before Miles and wow what a duo.
It’s rare for me to laugh out loud and this podcast does that for me but this duo especially 😂 I am making my way through past episodes and dread the day I’ve watched them all and have to wait for new episodes
ATTENTION CALLER WHO WORKS AT THE BAKERY!!!! So I am a small, skinny woman who works as a waitress & bartender. (I’m talkin’ 5’4” 97lbs) I get these comments not only daily but AGGRESSIVELY! Anywho.. I have Ulcerative Colitis. (Just diagnosed this year so I didn’t have this “trick” up my sleeve until recently bc I didn’t have a name for it.) but… way before my diagnosis, I gave up the fact that I had to make others feel better about their own trash comments. I am so ill, dude.. why am I comforting you? Anywho.. my FAVE response was one that can be used universally so I thought I’d share (So, to the 1,000th woman who commented on my skinny stature I said…) “oh, idk why I’m so thin.. my doctors and surgeons are still looking for a cause/cure” I can’t tell you what a change this made. People not only apologized but I feel like they left with a re-set attitude
Wonderful episode as usual! One of my best birthdays was when my friends threw me a surprise party! They definitely made me feel so sad for a few hours when almost all of them except the one friend I was hanging out with (who was in charge of directing me toward the party basically lol) said they were too busy to do anything 😂 They were so stealthy, they got me good.
Lmao I totally speak up when someone is using their phone/talking to the point of being disruptive 😂 it was only once that the person had a negative reaction
LASIK is the best! It was so much easier than I could have imagined. It took like five minutes, I felt no pain or discomfort, and my vision was almost 20/20 by that same evening. Blue light glasses are always a valid option if you miss the look!
Kendall needs to be a guest on the podcast (if she's willing). This seems like a missed opportunity. Also continuing the petition for merch that says "Perfect Person Podcast: Always a Great Call".
Love the advice to focus on yourself re: wanting to help clients feeling some internal fatphobia. Excellent points from a surprising source (NO OFFENSE, OFFENSE)
I've really been soothed by hearing how many people call in and say they're the planner of their friends group or relationship. I low key felt like that was just a me problem? But I'm a planner and have fun looking up places to go for dates or dinner meet ups, or book where to stay and where to eat when I go out of town with anyone. And generally, I really enjoy that part of it. But also, most people in my circle would *not* prepare any plans or even ideas ahead of time so I feel like everyone would be helpless if I wasn't like "hey how about dinner at x, drinks at y, we can park at z and walk to all of it" and they don't know I spent half an hour looking up places and distances and parking 😅
KEEP MY WIFE'S FEET, OUT YOUR FUCKIN, MOUTH

We need merch with this
i need a beanie that says this

I died when he was like I promise I’ll fix ur problem in a minute but… and then u can hear her laughing in the background 😂
The person who gets unwanted comments about their body shape at work, "Girl, today isn't about me. Let's focus on finding the perfect wedding dress for you."
Omg that's perfect 🥰
this is good!
And at the bakery replace wedding dress with scone or muffin or whatever!
That’s a really good way to say that. Hype the women up because it’s all about THEM!
Excellent!
That long pause when Eric said Sarah had beautiful feet💀 I thought I had accidentally paused the podcast
I did too! 🤣
That pause was as pregnant as Sarah 😂
My phone had been at 1% and I thought it finally kicked the bucket
Woah woah he said "Great" feet
Ur changing the story here 😂😂
I did too! And that was after I read your comment and I still thought it was paused
Omfg the whole surprise party story is so funny but Eric’s Will Smith comment left me crying😂😂🤣😅
GET MY WIFES FEET OUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH
I was laughing crying when Eric said Sarah has nice feet and you just went silent and deadpan stared at each other 😂 absolutely great episode once again.
17:28 ❤️❤️
eric and miles give off stronger lesbian vibes than any other two straight men i've ever encountered
I really love the energy that Eric brings whenever he shows up on any podcast. Freaking hilarious.

that was me and I really appreciate this! I want you to know I will be using these in my daily life thank you!
The energy on this episode is WILD even for Miles

That literally always happens to me when I watch or listen to these podcasts
This happens every week while I'm grocery shopping! 😅
"she's got great feet" 💀😂
It got SO QUIET I thought the next TH-cam ad was lagging
I was gambling w my battery life and I thought my phone died. What a gift. These boys are going places
I can’t believe Miles actually used the synthesizer at the appropriate moment. This is a new era. He really is… a
Perfect person.
This episode was sooo funny, but can we also acknowledge how handsome and sharp Miles looks in a turtleneck?
"You have to understand, they mean well but what they're doing, is dumb." That's a good one
My stomach hurts from laughing at Sarah’s surprise party story omg 😂🤣😭😭😭
A commercial kicked in right after the whole foot photo conversation and it was a commercial for Bombas socks. 🤣 Started right on a foot shot.
no way thats so funny
@@PerfectPerson One could even say it was.... perfect.

okay but the seamless start of that first freestyle bop was amazing. instantly understand their friendship hahaha
the amount of conversations i've heard from eric and miles that lead into a rap is astonishing at this point
them derailing the caller's scenario with a french onion dip off family fortune side story is the absolute best. I love this podcast lmao
I'm crying from laughing at this surprise party for Sarah 😂
17:27 LMAO 😭 the pause tho 😂😂😂 I thought Miles was gonna beat him up 😂
Holy shit I do not know this guest but he is the most miles to miles I’ve ever seen anyone do
Seriously I know nothing about him except for via miles (1st on guilty pleasures for the greatest showman and then here with will and now just miles) and just wow. These two are a dynamic duo. Keep Will but also keep Eric, miles!!
I love how you can tell these two are good friends. They’re basically brothers😂

the energy between you two is truly unmmatched

the SILENCE after he said she has nice feet
I AM DYING OF LAUGHTER
This episode was so hilariously chaotic and unhinged and I loved it. I really hope Eric is on as much as possible. You two are so funny together.
These two are chaotic together and I love it
I don't think I've ever enjoyed such chaotic energy before on a pod. We really need Will in this mix and let the madness ensue 😂😂
ive missed the eric & miles interactions!
There are so few people who can make me genuinely guffaw, and Miles is one of them
I never thought we would find someone to meet/exceed Miles’ energy 😂
please have Eric on the podcast more often!! you guys are so funny together !!
