Thanks again Tim! What I really appreciate about this and similar of your videos is you not only showing us some of your missed or boring shots, but your comments on what went wrong help me to analyze what went wrong with comparable failures I had shot in the past myself.
The man with the hat, the still life, the red balloon and the gestures and the low angle “cute” couple: some lovely images. Thanks for sharing those and all the rest and showing us your process once again. Cheers.
Thanks for showing your process and sharing your thoughts on these photos. So many fun moments and like how you incorporated humor into several of these images. Glad you ventured out in the rain and were gifted with the after rain dramatic sun. Cheers!
Nice one! Love the misses as well as the hits here, I think you learn more from the misses and it is good to see them in your video! London is such a great place to people watch and shoot intimate moments. 👍🏻😊Oh and the man in the hat and umbrella in profile looked a bit like Ray Davies…🤷
Two statements first off 1. Commitment even in the rain but like you say in your videos before if we only have sunny photos then our archives would be just bright and sunny 2.awesome photos you got l. Love how u getting closer...gotta love those gestures.. 3. Lastly if I come in the uk I will be looking you up to do a photowalk yes Cheers mate and happy Easter tim
All of the photos look great, mate. I really like three of them, they're great: 1. the one where the father leans down and kisses the child, 2. the child riding on his dad's shoulders with the red balloon, and 3. the guy pushing his friend's butt up the high steps. This video has a lot of photos of heartwarming moments and they are all well composed!
Nice video again … I took the Fuji 50mm f2 (as recommended by you) out yesterday for the first time … what a lovely lens for street … I was so surprised … it now has a permanent place in my day bag!
Really enjoyed it, very chilled vibe with the blues, looking forward to the next one. Id like to see some night shooting (please excuse if you’ve done one before I only found you last video)
Thanks heaps! Really appreciate that. I’ve done a couple night ‘tips’ videos and one POV style video at night: th-cam.com/video/QPbtyxUa9m4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TT2QopazLShRXalQ Enjoy! 🙏🏻
Thank you for this video. Indeed it was inspiring. And I learned that a professional has the same problems like an amateur like me. Good photography and good photos, especially streetphotography, does not depend on the camera gear or lenses. It s the moment. Capture this very moment. And you are great in this. Compliments. For myself, I never thought about composition, I took my photos spontaneously, without thinking. But I in future I will think more about co position. Btw, no photo you have taken is boring or poor. You work is great and more and more incredible amazing 😉
Hi Tim, love the video and your comments. I'm trying to work out what camera and lens you were using. I'm grappling with the prime versus zoom debate. Also, back focus or auto. I had a walk along Paignton sea front yesterday and was amazed at how many dogs there were so. I had a 10-18 Sigma on my xt20, set it to widest, on auto and shot from the hip without looking. Good fun, it was amazing how many dogs looked like their owners!!
That’s great! Definitely a fun thing to look out for, dogs with matching owners :). I use a 23mm lens (35mm full frame equivalent) and Fujifilm XE4 - happy shooting!
I liked this format. It is always interesting to see what other photographers see. I think you could just crop an image in post if you feel that you are too far away.
Great content as usual ! How do you handle the eye contact with subjects in the street ? Do you look behind them to pretend you took a picture of something else? Do you just smile? Are you sometimes approached by people asking you if/why you took a picture of them? How do you get away with it?
Thanks! It depends, I don’t capture eye contact that often, just when it feels right. I’ll either smile and walk off, or just pretend I’m taking a photo of something else, really depends on the moment. I’m trying to be bolder in my photography, always trying to push myself
Another enjoyable video , I prefer voiceover , I do a lot of video on my channel and found I have to slow down my movements especially POV or it becomes too hard to keep up with action , cheers for a great walk around .
Cool POV, mix of pics, and text commentary, Tim. Did you change vid title - wasn’t it posted as “As I see things”? That would have been more unique, IMO. Textured glass a good find. Hair guy and 2x sweet moment also favs. Did you use B&W styles in-camera for the monochrome shots, or did you shoot the set in RAW and convert in post? Cheers!
Much appreciated mate! I changed the title back haha, I honestly can’t help tweaking title and thumbnail when a video goes live. I should really just leave it but I just can’t help myself
Good video, I like the way you did it, except the music, but that is just me :) Street is something I want to do more of, so I need to learn a few things, this helps.
Great photo walk but I do feel you can be a bit hard on yourself when it comes to critic. Some of the shots you rubbished I really liked. My favs 1:08, 1:57, 2:49 ( I would have cropped out the right hand side of the post), 4:58, 8:40 and 10:33.
Thank you, Tony! Appreciate that mate. I find I need to sit with photos for a while to judge them objectively. This was my initial reaction to the photos from the day, glad you enjoyed 🙏🏻
Sorry you don’t like the music, it’s the same level of volume as all my other pov videos, never seen anyone feedback on the music being loud before 🤷🏻♂️
people, people everywhere, wherever you turn there are faces of people; on the internet, on TV, in photography; they're everywhere; I'd rather photograph a plastic bag or an old boot or an abandoned house than a bunch of people laughing, it is exhausting
🔴 Thanks for watching! Do y’all enjoy these POV videos? Any ideas for things to include or exclude in future point of view videos, let me know! 🙏🏻
I love the written comments on the photos, very funny.
The low angle shot of the cute couple at Piccadilly was the best one for me. Nicely isolated in the frame and gap in the buildings.
Thank you! Glad you liked it 🙏🏻
Yes ! This and the plastic man. Great use of the architecture
Thanks again Tim! What I really appreciate about this and similar of your videos is you not only showing us some of your missed or boring shots, but your comments on what went wrong help me to analyze what went wrong with comparable failures I had shot in the past myself.
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful 🙏🏻
Street photography with a blues background track! 👍👍
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed the tunes, didn’t realise the blues was so polarising, some people really don’t like it apparently haha 🎶
Thanks for the honesty. I love it that you put in your failed shots too. Full marks.
Thanks, Steve!
The man with the hat, the still life, the red balloon and the gestures and the low angle “cute” couple: some lovely images. Thanks for sharing those and all the rest and showing us your process once again. Cheers.
Thanks Alan! Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻
OMG. Great video, shots, music and of course appropriate comments. Very entertaining and great experience in street photography. Thanks.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻
Thanks for showing your process and sharing your thoughts on these photos. So many fun moments and like how you incorporated humor into several of these images. Glad you ventured out in the rain and were gifted with the after rain dramatic sun. Cheers!
Thanks Michael! Much appreciated as always, it was certainly a fun day out with an old friend 🙏🏻
More great shots and persuasion for me to get out there rain or shine.
Ah glad to hear that mate! 🙏🏻
Beautiful work. Loved the video👌🏼
Thank you!
Another good street video Tim, some really nice shots, London is excellent for street, hope to get there this year 📷📷📷
Thank you, Raymond! Yeah it’s such a great city for street photography, hope you make it there too 🙏🏻
Really enjoyed this video, matched with some great shots
Thank you! Happy to hear that 😅

Great job. I also love to take a walk around the city and take some street photos 👌
Thanks!

Thanks so much, what a lovely comment 🙏🏻
Tim, this video made me laugh and loved it all. Keep up the good work! 👍🏾
I hope you'll come to the US one day and visit NYC and take amazing pics. 😁
Ah thank you! So happy to hear that. And oh yes, I’m really pining for a trip to NYC, soon I hope 👌🏻
Oh to have London to work with. Thanks Tim.
It’s a fantastic city!

Nice POV video. London in March 2024 looks remarkably like June 2024. Are you sure this wasn't shot yesterday?
Haha, yeah that’s England for you!
Thank Tim yeah some images would have been better if you got closer to the subjects. I love some of your composition juxtaposes 👍
Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed the video :)
Awesome photo walk and video
Thanks! 🙏🏻

Thanks! RAW edited in LR :)

Coole photos
Great photo walk but I do feel you can be a bit hard on yourself when it comes to critic. Some of the shots you rubbished I really liked. My favs 1:08, 1:57, 2:49 ( I would have cropped out the right hand side of the post), 4:58, 8:40 and 10:33.

Love the video, hate that the music is so loud, even on low volume… takes away form the experience
Sorry you don’t like the music, it’s the same level of volume as all my other pov videos, never seen anyone feedback on the music being loud before 🤷🏻♂️
Sometimes I can't see why some photos you label bad composition and others good composition.
Maybe draw some red lines and x marks would help?
A lot of it is personal taste, but I’ll be doing a dedicated composition video soon :)
people, people everywhere, wherever you turn there are faces of people; on the internet, on TV, in photography; they're everywhere; I'd rather photograph a plastic bag or an old boot or an abandoned house than a bunch of people laughing, it is exhausting
Then why did you watch a video on street photography? 😂
@@timjamiesonphotos street photography doesn't necessarily mean people photography
🤷🏻♂️ mine does, so not the channel for you then mate :)
disgusting , ppl cant get away and have privacy at all anymore, some wannabe is gonna record what they are doing and put them on youtube
😂 😂😂
