Impressive numbers, getting close to 200hp/liter, in a diesel..., 1150kg that must be a decent parts delivery van, will deliver before can hang up the phone 🙈.
Sounds of this 4banger are epic! Must say, it's weird seeing a caddy without a divider between passenger and cargo compartment never seen that, but that is due to the Dutch roadtax system, does help with the sound though.

Looked at the builds on your website, looks as though most use the CFHD engines. what did this engine come in, as there's no mention of this code on wiki. Also, how good are the mk6 golf GTD's for tuning, better than the mk7's? or just avoid them altogether and get the cr140 instead?
It's the same engine really. They are good!

Not sure on the exact code but it is a DQ500 Box. Not an easy conversion in the Scirocco but anything is possible. It is the coding / wiring that will be the issue

Regarding oil I’m pretty clued up on the old pd engines but I’ve now got a leon cr170 stage 2 if you will no gubbings in the exhaust egr off all that good stuff but was wondering what oil would you recommend for it I know you use a lot of cr engines in your cars so just wanting your 10 bobs worth cheers in advance

I'm looking to put a 1.8T into my MK3 caddy. Is there must hassle do you know with engine mounts and subframes. What would I need to change?
It would mostly bolt in with Mk4 gearbox
Why do you run electric waterpumps on the builds and should I consider doing the same if I chase big power?
Anything past a GTB2566 is where we usually go to it, or dedicated track cars at least!
Cracking stuff. As it's still at full power at the limiter does they mean you could have a slightly smaller turbo to help with lag and not lose much through the rev range?
Then it would be restricted at the top. It's not laggy anyway

Hi I'm stripping my caddy sdi at the moment so would like to ask is this still a bkd engine in this caddy your doing ? and also what parts would I need to fit the bkd in my caddy and I have my daughters old mk5 gt tdi bkd 140 dsg which was hit in the rear so thought I should make good use of it any advice would be greatly appreciated

What Turbo is this running?
Do you have figures on roughly how much flywheel power a stock CFGB can tolerate before things start breaking?
They are stuck at 250hp by the head flow. This has a GTD28 Turbo - www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/garrett-gtd2872vr-turbocharger-with-electronic-vacuum-conversion-for-ppd-and-common-rail.html

Hey. Will you ever do something with JTD/CDTI engines ? There are some companies that offer JTD upgrades but I was always curious why you never did anything with these engines. From my experience they are way more reliable compared to any M/N/B47 or any gen of TDIs.
I dont know about being better than VAG, WG motorworks has some stuff for those

What kind of problems does the CFHD engine has? Does it has any oil pump problems like the old PD lumps and the balance shafts?
Not really any common issues! CFGB sometimes has Balance shaft

Is the 318d project scrapped? Does this Caddy leave plumes of black smoke behind under boost conditions? You’re brave to stick your fingers in the diesel oil like that lol . The power drops off quite a bit after 110mph, is the gearbox short shifting after 110mph?
Yeah scrapped it. No smoke at all. In sport it shifts way too early here. New video soon

Is DSG 7 speed version and does it have clutch packs clamp pressure increased? I have petrol EA888 DSG mapped to 390hp and stock DSG is fine, but torque is different for the tdi.
Yes it is a DQ500 7 Speed and has a map for increased clutch pressure

The reason I asked re the fuel ⛽️ is with petrol it makes a big difference what brand of fuel you use to the power output. Ie Tesco 99 apparently gets 20 more horsepower than Shell Vpower on a mapped car, so they say and tuners not Tesco saying that

I've got BMW e90 330d I have bought the car mapped with dpf delete . I deleted the swirl flaps i have one issue with a little oil leak at the front somewhere when the car was moved there was a spot of oil about 10p size could you help
