I love hunger games but NO WAY HOME just came out and IS NOW ON PATREON: www.patreon.com/SebScreen Mockingjay Part 1 tomorrow and that film will be so much fun! Who is your favourite character in THG?
Love the videos, I thought maybe next you could do the Planet of the apes trilogy ( after you’ve finished the Hunger Games of course ), would love to see your reactions to them as I think there a bunch of really good movies!
Yayyyyyy! More tomorrow 😁 thanks for all the hard work! It's impossible to pick a fave; Katniss, Haymich, Peeta, Joanna, Finnick 😍 it's just crazy good!
I always thought it would make a hilarious meme template. Like maybe you could use that to express how pissed off you are that you're single on Valentine's Day lol
In the books you actually get to hear about Haymitch's time in the games. he participated in the 50th annual hunger games which was the 2nd quarter quell meaning there was a twist aswell. The twist was that there were 2 boys and 2 girls instead of 1 of each. (Twice as many tributes). Haymitch was actually a strong boy, and won a fight against 3 other dudes, with just a little help from a girl to kill the last one. They then became friends and stayed together until they went their own ways. Then the girl died, and Haymitch won in a clever way the games did not want him to know, by using the 'edge' forcefield in the arena to rebound an axe being throwed at him, leading him to winning. Then because the games were angry, his girlfriend and family got killed for his 'cleverness'.
The girl sacrificed herself for Peeta because they all agreed to keep Peeta and Katniss alive. A lot of them sacrificed for a bigger purpose, the rebellion.
I think it's said in the books that they saved Peeta because there was no way to keep Katniss in an alliance without Peeta. So they had to keep Peeta save to save Katniss during the Games.
I remember in the book, when Finnick started cpr and mouth-to-mouth on Peeta, Katniss was genuinely confused as fuck cause these techniques didn't exist in district 12, but in district 4 - where Finnick is from - they are common as it's a fishermen community, where people could eventually drown at work
Finnick is easily my favorite character from the books (and the movies). He's such an interesting and tragic character, with so much hidden beneath the ultra-handsome, pretty boy facade.
Indeed... after his victory, he was basically a sex slave in the capital, maintaining his influence by collecting scandalous secrets he would hear from his elite "clients" thinking he was just a dumb, pretty boy.
SPOILERS the way his character arc closes is extremely unsatisfying in the movie. Honestly, I didn't feel a thing when it happened...even though I loved his character a lot
I know it's a little late, i just found this channel.. I used to feel bad for Gale too. But then I saw a comment saying how Gale and Katniss can never be. They are full of rage, anger, revenge (rightfully so) and together they will just feel bitter and be miserable, traumatized. I somehow understood finally. Because peeta is just gentle, he has hope and he also makes u feel hope that there is kindness, tenderness, and that is what katniss needs. Not more hatred
34:42 This is so great of Finnick to say “remember who the real enemy is” because it’s the exact line Haymitch said to Katniss before she went. Aside from the literal meaning of the line, it reminded Katniss that she can trust Finnick because she also trusts Haymitch
"Which lips?" Sent me 🤣 But for real. Catching Fire is so relevant and iconic today. Fun book fact: when Katniss goes to the arena and finds herself surrounded by water, it's a subtle metaphor for the Capital trying to extinguish her "fire." I think she straight up says in the book: "This is no place for a girl on fire."
god, i need to read the series again, it was my *everything* from ages 11 to seventeen (talk about hyperfixation). don't even know how much more the books will hit now, it's been almost ten years since i've last read them
@@Naahi95 unfortunately the books are far too overrated. They were really popular, which is why they made the movies. I love the movies, but I waited at least two years before I got myself to watch the first one, because I disliked the books so much. The books were such a let down - I guess my expectations were too high because of how much everyone else loved them.
It's also kind of a slap in the face to the poorer districts in general because most of them have no opportunity to learn how to swim. In the book, peeta stays on his pedestal until Finnick gets him because he doesn't know how to swim.
He's literally my most favourite but i guess the main reason for that is the fact i watched some other Josh's movies before the Hunger games and he was always so likeable to me.
book peeta is my favourite character in the series ! i’m still so sad that the movie didn’t really show how funny, charismatic and dangerous he is, to portray katniss as even more “tough” and badass than she already is (it’s a screenwriting problem though, josh is a great actor and totally kills the role in catching fire!) also i’ll never forgive them for totally ignoring that peeta lost a leg during the first game :(
The moment where she is brought up in the tube and the camera is just panning around her to reveal the arena and it's all so disorienting is the BEST MOMENT in this entire series, it's shot so well her acting is superb and it's just CHEFS KISS
It’s so well shot! I do think it goes over the heads of viewers who haven’t read the books though that this is an arena that favors players like Finnick who grew up in a coastal/fishing district and is a Capitol favorite and Katniss *should* be at a disadvantage and not know how to swim, just like Peeta doesn’t know how. Just like with using a bow, her dad secretly taught her in a lake outside the boundary fence of Dist. 12.
Watching it in IMAX… so amazing. It went full imax when she was pushed out of the tube. I’m so glad I watched HG and HP in the cinema. ( not the first hg, but all after)
my favourite line from the book was when katniss was lifted into the arena and noticed she's surrounded by water, she thought to herself, "this is no place for a girl on fire." literal chills when i read that
What I loved about your reaction is how you immediately knew Peeta painted rue. A lot of people miss that... they think someone is purposefully messing with Peeta and Katniss. But Peeta did it to remind katniss of what is important and to stick it to the capitol. Finnick is my boy! He is so great and I wish the movies dived into his character a bit more. But Peeta is my all time favourite because of how much he actually does to help Katniss!
@@jennv2948 Exactly. She notices that the Gamemakers took longer to call her in and that they are all flustered and she figures that Peeta did something to mess with them and she then decides that she has to do something to make them forget about Peeta and that's why she hangs Seneca Crane, to make them realize that she put a target on his back - and she can put one on theirs.
I love Johanna Mason so damn much. She’s just so brutally honest, just sheer balls-to-the-wall, unapologetic rage, all guts and will. We need more female characters like her in fiction.
Johanna was a strong woman who was just so well written. Everything about her is believable, and Jena Malone's performance is nothing short of amazing. I love her. I hope more writers of today can write more strong female characters like Johanna without making them annoying, unlikable, or devoid of actual personality
Peeta wanted to protect Katniss and the best way for him to do that was by going back into the game with her. If Haymitch went that would have left Peeta as their mentor and he hasn't spent years cultivating a relationship with sponsors like Haymitch has.
Cinna's death was even more brutal in the books, im glad they toned it down, when i read that part in the book, i had to take a break, i was also crying soo hard,it was brutal
@@kylahicks7054you get everything from Katness’ point of view and it kicks you in the face. The movies to a good job, but as always you get so much more details in the book
Yes, I liked it too. She doesn't even hide her discomfort during the Reap. My favorite moment is before the games when she says they deserved better. Did you notice that the initials of their last name formed the word " team " ? Trincket Everdeen Abernathy Mellark
14:27 I'm gonna level with you here: Of all the characters, Effie has the most development. Exhibit A: Look at her outfit. In the first movie and most of this one, it was all powdered faces, metallic lipstick and outlandish outfits. Here, it's just a simple butterfly dress with natural looking makeup. Because THAT'S the influence Katniss and Peeta had on her. Touring with them made her come around to actually LIKING them, not just for the sake of her job. Exhibit B: The look on her face. Before she was more than happy to announce the tributes. Now? She's crushed, because this is the first time the tribute is someone she cares about. So much development in these two movies alone.
Sorry but Peeta over Gale any day. Gale might be the more classically handsome, but Peeta is kind and pure and just totally genuine. I've always had a soft spot for him, you can't change my mind.
My biggest complaint about Gale is that it came across to me that he expected to end up with Katniss, especially before the games, and I think he knows he can get what he wants my being hurt and using that, as well as protecting and providing for her family. (The protection and provision is great, but you can’t make someone fall deeply in love with you...) And Gale might be a Hemsworth, but hutcherson is not bad looking... I actually thought he was attractive from zathura 😂 but character wins it for me over everything 🤣
When I showed this movie series to my little sister, she fell for Finnick immediately😂 Fun fact: The actor who played Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) actually ripped his pants during the proposal scene🤣
28:45 So this made more sense in book. Those two were a winners who got addicted to better version of morphine and Peeta connected with them like Katniss connected with Meg. Mostly because they liked art and I think he taught them some of his disguise tricks. They sacrificed themselves like Meg.
When you couldn't stop laughing at Wiress everytime she says tick tock (or "tiktok") I couldn't stop laughing too 🤣 Thank you!!! Also the way you notice Peeta and his impact (unlike majority of reactions I've seen) made me happy. You're really smart and really get into these stories, and that's why you'll always be one of my favorite reactors. 💖💖💖
so few reactors actually understand how integral Peeta is to his and Katniss' survival. haymitch says as much as soon as they arrive in the capital: Peeta knows what he's doing. Peeta is an incredibly intelligent political player and his understanding of how the world works and how to manipulate it while still staying true to himself is what makes his arc so tragic (won't say anymore because of spoilers). I partly blame the movies for this, since they could have been a bit more on the nose with how smart Peeta is and they definitely should've kept the fact that he lost his leg in the first games since it explains why he had issues with running and stuff, since the second movie just makes him feel kind of useless instead of there being an actual reason why can't do certain things. I get so angry when I watch a reaction where someone calls Peeta useless as if he isn't the reason they're both alive in the first place
@@clarasundqvist6013 Someone else did a Hunger Games reaction this week & I was a bit annoyed at their immediate Peeta hate. It tells me that the reactor isn’t actually thinking about the film, or is allowing a personal dislike of a character to interfere with their understanding of the movie & the story it’s trying to tell.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 just generally, I've realized that a lot of people (not just talking about TH-cam reactors here) always want subtle storytelling and then when the storytelling is actually subtle it just goes over people's heads. like, it's not that hard to figure out that Peeta was the one that made the picture of rue since his hands are covered in paint and was also literally just leaving, and the look he shares with haymitch should also be a giveaway that the pregnancy isn't real, but so many people just don't pay enough attention to what they're watching to understand
@@clarasundqvist6013 Facts. But also I think the movies didn't adapt the Peeta from the books very well and they left a lot of things out (maybe cause they wanted to focus on Katniss?). So I kinda get when people don't understand his role in the story.
I didn’t like how they did the mum dirty just to show that Prim was good as a medic in the movies. In the books, when Katniss comes back from the first games she properly pulled herself together. She’s back to helping people and treating people. Katniss even thinks to herself that it’s one of the great things about her mum, that when everyone else is panicking, she goes into a like calm medic mode.
@@a.g.demada5263 yeah, her parents had an apothecary in the good part of town, so when she married and moved to the seam she used her knowledge and experience to help the poorer people.
honestly I think the greates victims of the capitol were the careers. Cato and Clove but even more so Cashmere and Gloss. In the books it is explained that after he won he refused to work as a prostitute for the capitol (something the victors were forced to do) and as a punishment they orchestrated it so that his sister would get reaped. It backfired because he was her mentor and she was the crowd favorite because everyone wanted consecutive family wins. So in the arena she hunted down all the other tributes and the next morning she was crowned as a victor. The capitol disliked it that they still refused to cooperate so the two of them were reaped again for the third quarterquell (I’m not sure if one volunteered though). And well you see that they both died there. I’m just glad that they died pretty soon after one another. In my opinion their story is one of the most tragic ones in the hunger games.
Catching Fire was both my favorite book and movie of the series as many others have said. It has a very similar plotline to the first (which is a good thing imo) but with significantly increased stakes and far more plot twists. Mockingjay is great and all, but without spoiling much, is quite different than the first 2. Catching Fire is the ultimate Hunger Games experience to me.
Watching someone who didnt read the books watch the movies, made me realize that they didnt do Peeta justice in the first movie. In the books you knew that Peeta cared for Katniss, while Katniss only felt indebted to him because he gave her bread when her she and her family was starving. Peeta is also more sarcastic in the books. They showed a little bit of it in this movie but in the books he's pretty witty.
"Don't end it there! I want more!" You're lucky. I had to wait over a year for the next movie to come out to see what happened next. I'm glad you're enjoying it so much though, and I'll stick with you till the end because I'm enjoying your reactions so much.
Seb, after you finish this series you should read the books. It's crazy how good they are! I remember when they were out & everyone said they were "young adult" and even "girly" books but they are brutal. If the movies were as brutal it would've made them all rated R so I get it but anyway. Everyone who likes the movies should read the books.
When they first came out I was just like “No, it’s just a money making scheme off the back of Twilight and Harry Potter. Nothing can be as good as those.” And then I picked one up, stayed up all night and went out to buy the others the following day. Still read them once a year.
@@MistressofMirkwood same here sorta. A friend who's about 20 years younger than me brought me the first one and said " you need to read this". 6 hours later I was finished. I binge read all three books in three days. I wasn't expecting to get so engrossed or attached to the characters but you just can't help it. So many were so likeable. Not since Corky from Dean Koontz's book "The Face" have a hated anyone as much as I hated Snow and "her" you know of whom I speak. (Not trying to drop any spoilers) Great books, and seriously affecting.
Fun fact: The actor who plays Claudius Templesmith (the one next to Stanley Tucci who plays Caesar 16:58 ) actually voices Dobby in the Harry Potter films!
I´m so glad that you are enjoying this so much. Also I like how invested you are in the Peeta and Katniss relationship, because just them are my favorite part of the whole series. I´m so mad when someone likes Gale better just because more people find him more attractive. I could make many points about why Peeta is the best. Also Finnick is one of the best things in this movie. I can´t wait for the rest of the series, people criticise the second half a lot and I get some points, but I really enjoy what happens next. But this one is my favorite, it is so pretty and the story is epic.
@@Cookivirus movies made Gale way more likeable and added more dimensions to him. In the books he is annoying af and I can't find a single person who would like Gale in the books or at least prefer him over Peeta.
The reaping from the existing pool of victors is in DIRECT VIOLATION of the treaty long established that ALL victors were guaranteed to live their lives in peace after they won their games!
10:31 The Peacekeepers are destroying the black market. The Capitol is supposed to control everything but the previous leader of the Peacekeepers in District 12 turned a blind eye to illegal trading. 19:43 I'm so glad you realised Peeta painted Rue. So many people don't realise that and think the Capitol did it to taunt her. It was Peeta's protest against the Capitol, and in the books the Capitol had it covered before Katniss entered - obviously they would try to prevent dissent at all costs, no need to spread the spark of rebellion. 29:19 The hovercrafts collect the bodies, drop the airdrops, hold television screens up in the books. They were in the first book but were never shown in the first movie. In the books they have a cloaking device making them basically invisible and are very quiet. 31:34 Jabberjays have a really cool backstory - don't read on if you don't want book spoilers... Jabberjays are genetically engineered male mockingbirds that the Capitol designed to eavesdrop and steal verbal intel from the rebels in the war 75 years ago. Eventually the rebels of the Districts realised how the jabberjays were being used and exploited that by sending them back false information to the Capitol. Humiliated, the Capitol abandoned the jabberjays once it became clear they weren't working anymore and left them to die out. However the jabberjays survived in the wild and bred with the wild female mockingbird population that gave rise to the birds known as mockingjays today. The offspring mockingjays didn't retain all of the genetic modifications - they lost the ability to use human voices and words but kept the ability to copy sounds and play it back in birdsong as we see the mockingjays doing in the first movie. The mockingjay's existence is a constant mocking reminder to the Capitol of how they messed up and this is why it's a great symbol for Katniss to adopt.
THANK YOUUUU for realizing that Peeta painted Rue for his evaluation. It’s my biggest pet peeve that reactors misinterpret that part. It’s not outrightly said, but clearly inferred. A lot of reactors think the capitol did that to taunt katniss but that wouldn’t really make sense
I also love the “ always” in this and Harry Potter. She doesn’t remember him saying this until after the second games… so sweet. She was with the right person in the end.
Haymitch actually won the Second Quarter Quell (50th Hunger Games). For that one they actually reaped twice as many tributes from each district. 2 men and 2 women for a total of 48 "contestants".
My Fav is Johanna, BUT I have to mention that I Love the job they do with Effie, she became a Fan favourite and she was kind of left behind by the last book, so thx God they do her Justice and thx Elizabeth for giving us such a lovable performance 💕
Catching fire is easily the best film of the franchise and I’m not saying the others are bad because they aren’t but even in the book series catching fire was always my favorite lol
I saw this film on opening night with pretty much a theater full of my middle school because we were all reading the books at the time. It was honestly my favorite movie theater experience. The cheering and clapping from all of us was so fun. They adapted the book into film very well and the acting was S tier. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did!
I have this great image in my head of Suzanne Collins (the author of the Hunger Games) sitting at her laptop like "how can I get Katniss back into the arena....oh! I know! ALL STARS!!!"
The man kissing Katniss, Joanna stripping, and Finnick's flirting are all because they noticed Katniss' naivety in the last games. How kissing Peeta was such a big deal to her it signaled inexperience with physical intimacy. The older champions are trying to rattle her with their own sexual harassment techniques.
That was such a great reaction video Seb, you are definitely one of my favorite reactors on youtube. You don't just watch the movie, you enjoy every single bit of it and you are so immerged in the story, which makes your videos so enjoyable for us. Thank you for that. I am so happy to have been able to be there since the beginning and witness your channel grow. You deserve every single subscriber your got ! 😊
I absolutely LOVE how much you're loving this, Catching Fire is a popular one in the franchise and I love it dearly, it's so so good. You picked up on so much and I personally really love the appreciation you have for Peeta and his character. So many people seem to not figure out how important he is to Katniss but of course, you did not disappoint 😌 looking forward to the other ones Seb!
You commented on how wonderfully menacing Snow is in this movie... he's played by long-time amazing actor Donald Sutherland (Keifer Sutherland's dad). That man knows how to do a really nuanced character!
Peta is so cold in the beginning because he really thought she had feelings for him after the game and feels like he was played... which he was. The "it makes you sick so you can go on eating" pisses them off because they think about how at home people are starving. "She's my favorite" ...character immediately dies.
YES!!!! Fantastic reaction! 😊 I've been waiting for this one! "Catching Fire" is my favorite movie and book of the "Hunger Games" series. Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊
Seriously love your reactions to this series. You are one of the only reactors to get bits of the story right away! For some reason people tend to think the capital painted that picture of Rue to mess with Katniss but it is very established with the first film that Peeta is a painter and some people even go as far as to think Peeta painted it to mess with Katniss, like what??? You got right away that all the tributes are giving their best FU to the capital anyway they can. Can’t wait for the next two reactions!!! Please hurry!!!! Lol
what i wish they had shown in the movies, was haymitch's background. It was explained in the books really well. He had to go through the games at a young age, and lost the one he loved. thats why hes an alcoholic, and he really grows to care for peeta and katniss...
Watching your reaction to this particular movie makes me remember the feeling I got from reading this book. Gosh... Just how I was trying so hard to make sense of all the words I kept reading. This story was so freaking intense and so good. So cruel, tho.
I just want to say, when i was reading the book and it got to the part where the Quarter Quell was announced, I literally threw my hardbound cover book across the room (well into my bed across the room. I could never do that to any book hahaa I still threw it pretty hard tho 🥲 sorry book)
@SebScreen The presentation of the tribute's chosen skills is a private affair, it isn't televised. So Katniss wouldn't be sending a message to Snow by painting his name on the peacekeeper uniform. The reason Katniss painted _"Seneca Crane"_ on it was intended as a message for *Plutarch Heavensbee* that her strength and talent is in *killing head game makers* 😉 After all, Katniss didn't know he was in on the rebellion from the start.
I really enjoy this comment section where people are gushing over how great of a character Peeta is and all details people mention from the books. He is so important and much more than just a love interest.
man, its so much fun to have a few reactors that are just so genuine and fun that no matter what they watch it's always a good time. if I where a Netflix producer I would get a head of the curb and hire the best, like yourself, and ad it to Netflix, they will catch on eventually, then you should be expecting a call for sure.
I really liked Effie's character development in this movie, mainly because you can see that she is now starting to see how cruel the capital is acting towards the other districts, and that she is genuinely worried when Katniss and Peta have to go back into the games. It's almost as if the wool has been pulled from her eyes in away.
The moment that got me is the scene where the prep team giving Peeta a drink at the party. In the book is so much cruel for me to read because my family been starving before with no food. The drink was supposed to make you vomit and emptied your stomach, so that you can eat more again. In the book, Peeta and Katniss witnessed people from the party eating, vomiting and eat again in such a delight manner. I immediately thinking of some unfortunate people having to dealt with food ration. We rationed the food every day, and just like D13 in the book, where I understand why they strict about food wasting can be result in a punishment and disciplinary.
IIRC from the books (which I read 10+ years ago so bear with me) which are from Katniss' pov, the speculation was that the planes came to quickly pick up the fallen tributes during these Games to avoid another "funeral" like Katniss did for Rue in the previous games... her tribute with the flowers was unusual for the games, leading to riots, so this time they yanked them out quickly.
LOL I'm glad you came around with the Katniss/Peeta ship. Their relationship's one of my faves in all the series I've read and seen. Forever one of my OTPs!
at this point its still funny how hamitch drinks til he passes out and always sleeps with a knife but believe me after you find out what happened to some of the victors it makes sence its PTSD

Peeta is such a pure and kind person, definitely one of my favorite characters in this series
He's literally my most favourite but i guess the main reason for that is the fact i watched some other Josh's movies before the Hunger games and he was always so likeable to me.
@@yinloveyang I know right?? I love him in everything he's in
He's even better in the books! definitely my favorite character
This whole comment thread is Peeta Mellark/Josh Hutcherson appreciation and I love that
book peeta is my favourite character in the series ! i’m still so sad that the movie didn’t really show how funny, charismatic and dangerous he is, to portray katniss as even more “tough” and badass than she already is (it’s a screenwriting problem though, josh is a great actor and totally kills the role in catching fire!) also i’ll never forgive them for totally ignoring that peeta lost a leg during the first game :(
The moment where she is brought up in the tube and the camera is just panning around her to reveal the arena and it's all so disorienting is the BEST MOMENT in this entire series, it's shot so well her acting is superb and it's just CHEFS KISS
( not the first hg, but all after)
Yes!!!
Where can I watch it to have the ratio change where I usually watch it doesn’t happen
I remember in theaters you got to see the aspect ratio change right at that moment
"Put a bun in the oven you bakers boy" lmao seb you crack me up
my favourite line from the book was when katniss was lifted into the arena and noticed she's surrounded by water, she thought to herself, "this is no place for a girl on fire." literal chills when i read that
Yes!
And I remember that was how they ended the chapter. TOTAL CHILLS
“This guy makes Cato from the first one look like an absolute goldfish” 😂 i died when he said this
What I loved about your reaction is how you immediately knew Peeta painted rue.
Peeta is so underrated. If it weren't for him they wouldn't have make it out of the first games.
Peeta did it to hold the gamemakers accountable. In the books, Katniss doesn’t see it.
I love her too...she sorts reminds me of me.

14:27 I'm gonna level with you here:
Of all the characters, Effie has the most development.
Someone made such a lovely analysis of Effie and her outfits, this reminded me of it. She’s my favorite character out of everyone
@@rainclouds3677 same thought, I've watched that video here n YT and it's awesome
Cinna would have been proud of her.
and the most makeup
i love her
Sorry but Peeta over Gale any day.
(The protection and provision is great, but you can’t make someone fall deeply in love with you...)
And Gale might be a Hemsworth, but hutcherson is not bad looking... I actually thought he was attractive from zathura 😂 but character wins it for me over everything 🤣
I find Peeta more handsome though, don't really care if the other is a hemsworth, I mean do you see that gorgeous jawline??
@@jbonceu2457 I agree. I prefer hitcherson
nope. team Gale. i liked peeta but he was a bit too weak
@@JessLoveyy in the book though, Peeta actually does a lot and the loss in mobility in the 2nd one is cuz he lost his leg in the first games.
Good on you for noticing the aspect ratio change during the start of the games. It goes from widescreen to IMAX-style.
When I showed this movie series to my little sister, she fell for Finnick immediately😂
Fun fact: The actor who played Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) actually ripped his pants during the proposal scene🤣
Stanley Tucci's portrayal of Ceasar Flickerman is partly based on Graham Norton.
When musicly became Tiktok, all i could think of was Wiress. Lol
I love Prim’s development (movies and esp. books) from a terrified child to a mature and capable young lady who wants to help others.
@@Drummer4President I suppose Mrs Everdeen learnt that of her owns parents.
@@a.g.demada5263 yeah, her parents had an apothecary in the good part of town, so when she married and moved to the seam she used her knowledge and experience to help the poorer people.
@@Drummer4President yes, that's a good thing. I'm sure Prim would have been a great doctor like her mother
@@Drummer4President Married? Did you...watch mocking jay part 2?
honestly I think the greates victims of the capitol were the careers.
Love how everyone is team gale until they aren’t
And he didn't even see the last two films...
Lol I’m always team gale but I do like peeta
@oleander7635true
I want more!"
You're lucky. I had to wait over a year for the next movie to come out to see what happened next. I'm glad you're enjoying it so much though, and I'll stick with you till the end because I'm enjoying your reactions so much.
Lol fr! It was the same with the books, waiting a year+ for the next one to come out 😫
Every November twenty-something, that was how I measured the years Hahaha
Seb, after you finish this series you should read the books. It's crazy how good they are! I remember when they were out & everyone said they were "young adult" and even "girly" books but they are brutal. If the movies were as brutal it would've made them all rated R so I get it but anyway. Everyone who likes the movies should read the books.
When they first came out I was just like “No, it’s just a money making scheme off the back of Twilight and Harry Potter. Nothing can be as good as those.” And then I picked one up, stayed up all night and went out to buy the others the following day. Still read them once a year.
I second this.
@@MistressofMirkwood Agreed, even tho I never considered Twilight to be good.
The books are SO GOOD
Fun fact: The actor who plays Claudius Templesmith (the one next to Stanley Tucci who plays Caesar 16:58 ) actually voices Dobby in the Harry Potter films!
I think people like gale more because he has more dimension to his character
I think both are great
@@Cookivirus movies made Gale way more likeable and added more dimensions to him.
A lot of reactors think the capitol did that to taunt katniss but that wouldn’t really make sense
someone’s probably pointed this out already, but the actor who plays Beetee, Jeffree Wright, also voices The Watcher in What If! Such an epic voice
Holy- It just dawned on me that Peeta sounds the same as pita. His parents are bakers. It all makes sense now 😂
I also love the “ always” in this and Harry Potter. She doesn’t remember him saying this until after the second games… so sweet. She was with the right person in the end.
6:44 Not only the scene but the music always give me goosebumps. The OST of this movie series is amazing
13:49 here is a direct quote from the second book. In the history of the games, there have been 75 victors, 59 are still alive.”
the BEST hunger games movie by far. i think it's the best young adult book movie out of that whole era.

In the book, it was announced there that Katniss and Peeta were the first tribute to ever score a perfect 12 during the training scores
YES!!!! Fantastic reaction! 😊
I've been waiting for this one!
My favorite color is also green! Grass, moss, leaves, etc. reminds me of the earth and I love it.

Watching your reaction to this particular movie makes me remember the feeling I got from reading this book.
Gosh... Just how I was trying so hard to make sense of all the words I kept reading. This story was so freaking intense and so good. So cruel, tho.
You are the ONLY reactor to realize it was Peeta who painted Rue on the floor...thank you for paying attention! 😂
I just want to say, when i was reading the book and it got to the part where the Quarter Quell was announced, I literally threw my hardbound cover book across the room (well into my bed across the room. I could never do that to any book hahaa I still threw it pretty hard tho 🥲 sorry book)
"He's getting whipped... and not in a good way" 😂😂😂😂
The movie is set about 1000 years in the furture.
@SebScreen The presentation of the tribute's chosen skills is a private affair, it isn't televised. So Katniss wouldn't be sending a message to Snow by painting his name on the peacekeeper uniform. The reason Katniss painted _"Seneca Crane"_ on it was intended as a message for *Plutarch Heavensbee* that her strength and talent is in *killing head game makers* 😉
After all, Katniss didn't know he was in on the rebellion from the start.
Peta is AMAZING. They are one of my favorite couples in literature.
I really enjoy this comment section where people are gushing over how great of a character Peeta is and all details people mention from the books. He is so important and much more than just a love interest.
I truly am loving your reaction series to Hunger Games! Loved Catching Fire
man, its so much fun to have a few reactors that are just so genuine and fun that no matter what they watch it's always a good time. if I where a Netflix producer I would get a head of the curb and hire the best, like yourself, and ad it to Netflix, they will catch on eventually, then you should be expecting a call for sure.
I watched this in IMAX when it first came out and the change in the aspect ratio was such a cool experience in the theater.
I love the relationship Effie has with Katniss and Peeta ^_^
32:30 It's funny when Beetee says "I have a plan" it reminds me of Batman, and that actor played James Gordon in The Batman
Seb: "How are the gonna get her back in?" HUNGER GAMES ALL-STARS, BABY!
I was in the reaping scene in this one. It was October but it was blazing hot. It was such a cool scene to witness firsthand though.
Peeta was so good at painting because he decorated the cakes at his families bakery.
I really liked Effie's character development in this movie, mainly because you can see that she is now starting to see how cruel the capital is acting towards the other districts, and that she is genuinely worried when Katniss and Peta have to go back into the games. It's almost as if the wool has been pulled from her eyes in away.
God I'm in with love with Peeta.
I absolutely love this film and Finn is such a great character
Sebs laughs are so infectious. I love it so much.
You always post perfectly when I'm searching for a video to watch while eating
"put a bun in the over you little baker boy" lmao
This was my favorite of the books and movies
This film is SO good. I’m very excited for the rest. Really enjoying these 😍
IIRC from the books (which I read 10+ years ago so bear with me) which are from Katniss' pov, the speculation was that the planes came to quickly pick up the fallen tributes during these Games to avoid another "funeral" like Katniss did for Rue in the previous games... her tribute with the flowers was unusual for the games, leading to riots, so this time they yanked them out quickly.
LOL I'm glad you came around with the Katniss/Peeta ship. Their relationship's one of my faves in all the series I've read and seen. Forever one of my OTPs!
Hey Seb! Just wanted to tell you, again, that I love re-watching movies with you! Keep up the good work! :D
The 3rd film is my favourite in the franchise, excited for that one
“I respect it but boy that was not smart.” I feel like that’s Gale in a nutshell
at this point its still funny how hamitch drinks til he passes out and always sleeps with a knife but believe me after you find out what happened to some of the victors it makes sence its PTSD
I always wished they went into Haymitch’s time in the games.
