Ahhh i watched this twice now. Love this process i learn so much about simplifying when you do this style
Thanks Toby, love this one.
Thank you. Thanks to your creativity, I have made my approach to drawing much more free and joyful. Now I get real pleasure from free and expressive sketches instead of a long painful copying of objects. My friends say that my current sketches are even more believable than my previous drawings.
Sorry for my English - it's an automatic translation.
Thank you so much 😀
Very enjoyable. And a different approach which was interesting! Thanks 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it!
I get hung up on the brick work, and before I know if I've drawn in every single brick! I love your style, Toby. I'll have a go at your free course as soon as my guests leave. Thanks for showing sketching doesnt need to be detailed or complicated.
🙏🙏
Another gem! Thank you !
Thanks for listening
I love this! I'm much more into putting some paint down first, then doing the ink work. I don't often go back in with more watercolor but this makes so much sense. Thanks, Toby, another fine lesson. I have a subscription to Skillshare, so I'll meet you on t there
Awesome, see you there!
Awesome as always.
Thanks again!
Great tutorial Toby, thank you
Very welcome
Something new to try! I have seen this technique. I just didn't know where to start. Thank you for sharing this. You are an inspiration.
You are so welcome!
Great demo. I would suggest given what you are teaching, that you leave out the word”mistake”.. there are no such things. I love the energy of the squiggles and ransom lines.
🙏🙏
I really like todays painting!
Thank you so much for making sketching fun and approachable. Great instruction and motivation for us beginners.
You are so welcome!
I find your techniques fascinating, thank you for another brilliant tutorial!
You are so welcome!
Love that process of painting Toby. Gives such interesting results
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you! Loved it. My Lamy pen has clogged…I’m looking for a video to see how to unclog it! 😊
Soak it in warm water
Love it!!👏🏻👏🏻
Yay! Thank you!
Always amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
Loving your content.
Thanks!

This is a killer guide but as someone whos brain doesn't quite work this way naturally - how do you train yourself to not start over after noticing that building color area above your buildings? I would immediately feel like I messed it up and redo the first wash
Trusting the process
First!
Chapess? Chapette, maybe?
I thought Chapessa

Not seeing reference photo link plus why list your color palette in another link and the first color you use isn’t one listed. Mars yellow. I realize there’s no need to copy your exact colors but it would be nice if you wanted to and your list of supplies was current
Really sorry for the disappointment. The links are up there now and the list of colours.
I think it's a lot more work (several hours more) than some people realise to get these videos made, edited and uploaded, especially working alone - I really appreciate when people point out things that have slipped through the cracks because I'm never going to be perfect myself.
It’s all good o really enjoy your tutorials and all your tips and look forward to following more of them. I can’t imagine how much work it is to get one up. Thxs for all you do
