I don't believe they're a contender, maybe a threat to one tho' IMO 🤔!! Also I don't believe the C's r this "beast" that u think they r........just saying 😐!!
They've been building through the draft, free agency and trades since James left. No one paid attention. It all started with Collin Sexton. Then the questioning as to why they drafted DG, traded for Allen, drafted Mobley, signed Markkanen, traded for LeVert, and then flipped players and picks for Mitchell. Which is weird because while in Utah, everyone was praising him and saying that him being a Knick would be a megastar move. The GM(and owner) has been patient, calculating and managed to get the core locked up. The moves he's made with undrafted players and offering nice contracts to role players has been elite as well. They have Emoni Bates developing his game and body in the G-league too. I mean, for giving up those first round picks, they still got Bates, Travers and Tyson late first and in the second. They went from 19 to 51 wins in 5 seasons. That's not by luck.
Koby Altman (GM) is seriously underrated and give props to executive management and ownership for believing in the vision and letting the guys cook on all levels. Altman has been in since 2017 (last LeBron season) and he was brought in with a vision and goals for the future of a team that would inevitably need to rebuild. Every single move has been positive and pushed the Cavs forward when available. And when the chips on the table were the best offer (like this past off season minus JB for Kenny) they have always just run it back. This is what it takes to build a winning culture and organization and the only way to thrive w a small market like CLE. The Cavaliers are a competent organization that has been incredible from a fan perspective and I want nothing but success for Altman and also props to Dan Gilbert as the owner for putting good people in good positions and believing in them. Complete opposite of the Browns and Haslam it is amazing. Also PS I've met Altman personally and he is very decent and intelligent and I have immense respect for what he's achieved as as GM in the NBA so far.
He's getting a little bit too much though because the guy is just quoting stats if he's putting Wade as the 3rd best defender. Wade is good and all; but Mobley, Allen, & Okoro are very clearly the Cavs top 3 defenders.
Hate is a strong word, why not just admit they have expectations that they need to live up to now because they didn't previously.......just saying 🤔😐!!
Congratulations on the wedding Andy! Wishing you the absolute best! I have been an avid watcher for a few years now, love your videos! Happy to hear the news!
What people tend to forget about the Cavs last season is that even with Mitchell missing Game 5, Garland still struggling to find his form after the massive weight loss from his jaw injury, and Allen out for the series, they still made the Celtics work in every game and had the best overall series against them. The Pacers got dogwalked, the Heat got one win and then got obliterated in every other game, and the Mavs couldn’t slow the Celtics down at all, only winning the one game when the Celtics couldn’t hit any of their shots. Only in Game 1 and the last quarter of Game 5 did the Cavs actually look overmatched, even hurt as they were.
I watched the Lakers game against them and after the first quarter I thought that the Cavs were legit. Raining 3's from all over the place (Max Streuss isn't even playing) Mobley and Allen locking down the paint and rebounds. Mobley was also man handling the Lakers inside. They play the right way.
I like that you ve mentioned Allen, I was driving arround today and it came to my head that acctually Allen is one of the greatest keystones of their successs. Forgot about Mobley doh. Good analysis
Unfortunately every time our team has success, the LeBron fans really start to hate on us. They need us to fail so they can say LeBron is our only method of success to propel him up in their arguments. It’s extremely weird behavior.
Man, I am happy to see the Cavs play so well to start the season. I am a longtime fan and I watched them build their team up after the departure of LeBron. They have been getting better year by year and I think this might be a good season for them to really show what they're capable of. I hope they can keep it up through the season, stay healthy and make a deep run this postseason.
Im actually interested how would Giannis Fit with the Cavs though, Cavs have assets , Young talent and Few picks to offer Plus Giannis Would still stay in the East wherein Boston is the only threat
Cleveland has the depth and has the personal to beat everyone. But this year Knicks and Celtics (again) look strong for reaching the finals as well. They have to keep their momentum high and not get injured. The benches will be key to winning this year's ring as every contender now has 2-3 superstars with elite role players.
I’ve been a Kevin love fan so I always rooted for the Cavs even when he left , I remember the Jordan Clarkson Ante Zizic Cedi Osman days so I’m proud to see them become this level of contender
Everyday I imagine what would’ve happened if the Brooklyn Nets kept Atkinson as they’re coach throughout the KD Kyrie Harden era, if he got a team with D-Lo as the best player to the playoffs, imagine the offense on those early 2020s Nets teams
I expected them to be a threat. They've had the talent, Garland, Mitchell and Allen are all all-star players and Mobley should be on his way to his first all-star appearance soon too. That is a talented core of 4 guys and the bench has improved dramatically too. Their problem last year was injuries. Now they have even more continuity so watch out if they stay healthy this team is a legitimate contender.

I love the comparison to the Allen Iverson sixers but the difference the sixers have shooting guards that defends and shoot spot up 3 pts but the opposite for the cavs because they have 2 scoring point guard
its not about when you do it. its how. cavs are replicating basketball that gave teams like the warriors and spurs multiple championships. they playing fast and selfless, but with a lot more control and defensive solidity than high powered offences like the kings and pacers. they create big leads every game and counter every run that threatens a comeback. they’re winning in every way. they can win through the guards or through the bigs. they can protect a lead or erase a deficit. they can grind thru a bad shooting night with their defence or run you out the gym with their offensive efficiency. they believe in the identity no matter what now, wasnt the case last year. maybe they cool off, and arent actually on the celtics level. but in that case. this run is simply a glimpse at what they will be if its not who they already are
Donovan performs pretty well in the playoffs. So we shall see with this team. Contrast that with Harden and Embiid, both phenomenal in regular season but postseason wise, they perform worse.
@@lezzyy1165 I'm not sure if you're watching the games. what you have to understand is that this is a different system from last year. I think its too early to predict who will gonna become a good contender going to playoffs as of now we all know its a long seasons and the coaches and staff of every team will try to make some adjustment in every game also the endurance and health status of every player was also a a big factor
Wanna know what's funny? If Joel Embiid or any other big in the east could consistently make at least 3 3-pointers a night against the Cavs, their defense would be exposed. In fact any big who can shoot the 3 exposes any elite defensive team by opening the floor
It doesn’t matter how good they are, means nothing if you can’t beat the bucks, sixers, celtiKKKs, or Heat come April. Unless they make the conf finals or at least beat top teams in the east then they’re just another no man’s land.
I wouldn’t say the Cavs are championship contenders. It’s early on in the season. Even though they’re unbeaten at 6-0, it’s a marathon of a season. I will give credit to the offense though. The pace and space play style the cavs are playing has served them well. When you have players who are great knockdown shooters from 3, especially in the corners it opens up everything else for the offense.
I believe they're a threat to a contender if not taken seriously, however if they want to b a contender they have to dedicate themselves relentlessly to the defensive side of the 🏀........IMO 🤔!!

Easy, bro. Hold the horses. Cavs did not prove anything yet. They have really good start, but it's only 6 games. Raptors, Wizards, Magic, Pistons it's not a good roster to brag about. Winning against Knicks is quite an achievement. Winning against Lolkers is still unknown as LAL may win less games than expected. It's Lolkers at rhe end of the day. Cavs will be strong rhis year. But how strong? This is something they need to prove.
Even if they are good. The Celtics are the only team they need to get by. If you build around length and speed to catch with their perimeter game, they will have a shot at a title

Winning against Knicks is quite an achievement. Winning against Lolkers is still unknown as LAL may win less games than expected. It's Lolkers at rhe end of the day.
Cavs will be strong rhis year. But how strong? This is something they need to prove.
says the guy who hates the Lakers😂
It's been only 6 games but those were quality wins
Now it's been 9 games, most by double-digits. What else can they do except keep beating the schedule in front of them?
Ok, Cavs are real real deal. I was wrong.
Definitely like those AI Sixers teams but Spida and Garland are a better back court
Championship contenders 😭😭☠️
2016 Cavs right? Theres no way we talking about the current day Cavs
Nevermind I’m stupid, they’re 10-0 and I don’t know ball
OKC better defensive team. Caruso, Dort, Chet, Shai, 2 Williams, I-Hart
Season just started bruh remember when ya thought the jazz and rockets were good
Too early to say they're contenders. Lets see if they can sustain it until all star break
It's only been 6 games. They will come back to reality soon
Even if they are good. The Celtics are the only team they need to get by. If you build around length and speed to catch with their perimeter game, they will have a shot at a title
what option would Mitchell be on a championship contender
I mean - you are basically saying that Bickerstaff is a incompetent fool. Then how the hell he has been coach of so many different teams and you have not? Where is the logic?
Last year many teams start so good but when it comes to half way of the season😅
Chill bro don’t hate that’s the past
