- The Cavaliers have the best offense in the NBA and it's not because they made any major changes ... at least to their roster. Today, we go over the genius concepts in the Cavs offense that's making them so good and why teams should be studying them for the future.

congrats on 100k!! been following your content for a minute, well deserved.
AMAZING video. Additionally, there are great defensive benefits to running a double big lineup. Modern offenses scheme to pull the rim protector out of the paint. With their new ability to play Mobley and Allen together, the Cavs always have a 7 footer at the rim. All Kudos to Kenny for making it possible through the revolutionary offense.
I’m a diehard Cavs fan. Watch every game. One of my first memories is when the Cavs got the #1 overall pick for LeBron and my family going crazy with excitement.
Nothing compares to watching this rebuild. No one expected anything substantial after LeBron left. It’s been an amazing process and there is genuinely a list of fifty items I could list that I think management did right about this rebuild.
The league has definitely noticed too and it’s why Bickerstaff is in Detroit now
My college coach called this “cutting with disappointment” “cut with disappointment” - meaning cut even though the design is not to get the ball
Haha this is a great name for it! I think what you are really doing is forcing the (team) defence to react to it, thereby increasing the chance of a defensive breakdown.
From the Grizzlies, to the Cavs, Nuggets and to the Knicks the league keeps evolving its notion of offense and it's brilliant to see! I wish we shed light on the variety of styles across the game more
Atkinson doing offensive wonders for years now. Thanks for highlighting some of his work!
Mad me so sad when we lost him from the nets.
Not a coincidence that Kenny Atkinson has been the Warriors assistant coach for the last 3 years, and now he's got a much more movement-based offense.
crazy what adding a good coach does to a team. from a dead end perpetual first/2nd round exits to championship contenders.
I'll always count myself lucky that growing up, Wade was (still is) my favorite player. And obviously, as great as he was with the ball, it was his cutting and off-ball movement that made him extra devastating. Imho, that's a skill that superstars, at times, struggle with or refuse to/are unable to utilize. Woulda been really fun to see him play in today's NBA!
Stop saying Evan don't shoot, he's a 40% shooter from three, from all around the arc and even taking contested spot ups. The scouting report says you must close out on Evan now or he will make you pay
I guess we'll clear it out in the play-off
He doesn't take much more than a couple attempts per game so it's a fair assessment
@@zephaniahmcdanielshe make 3 3s on 5 attempts
Those baseline cuts and relocations on drives are called "circle movement" and are part of the fundamental layer of rick torbetts read and react offense. It's been around for over 15 years and it's great to see the pros finally picking up on it.
Can you do a breakdown about the Raptors’ recent success
These sacrificial cuts feel very soccer inspired
They should be part of team sports involving a ball and a goal. It really puts pressure on the defensive, forcing them to pay attention to it/reacting to it, thereby increasing the chance of a defensive breakdown.
Reminiscent of 2015 GSW. Will the 2 big lineup become a trend 🤔
Great video, I think you could try making some predictions on playoffs/future seasons based on the insights you have. This would be very cool to watch and would be even cooler if your predictions come true.
great content - hope you get your 100k subs soon
Congrats on the silver play button well deserved🎉🎉🎉
do a video on the knicks
No
No good teams only
@@itskmillzKnicks are the third seed in the east
@@VeryRestartedby default the east in weak if they was in the west or if Memphis Houston warriors was in the east Knicks a 6seed at best
Calling Evan Mobley a non-shooting big man is stretch! Lol no pun intended. Great video
towards the end it clicked for me! 💡the cavs offense is very similar to selfless European looking basketball
Brad stevens used to talk about the “sacrifice cut”
FOURTH FROM SINGAPORE
Laanjiaooooo
Looks like 90's basketball to me.
yessir 🔥
Before it was Popovich's Assistance Coaching that became great coaching. Now is it Kerr's.
It looks like old spurs basketball

Why didnt the Celtics get this video last season 😭

Are we still calling Evan non shooting?
Gsw should have fired Kerr and let Atkinson coach the team. Warriors fambled that bad
CAVS BIGS LONG AND MOBILE

Basketball is a complex poetic dance. Dudes are just jogging around most of a ⚽ game
@@Ideadoor if only the phrase “the beautiful game” came from football ⚽️. acc no need in imagining when it actually did ;)
@@jdrmanmusiqking as someone who watches football ⚽️ and basketball. i can assure you im enteratained watching the former. as the fact every 3 minutes i have to endure an advertisement about food most likely.
