A lighter crankshaft and conrods should increase the speed of the crank spin up on acceleration so that the bike gets into that higher power band faster. I think that we will have to wait for some real world riding reviews from motorcycle journalists to get an idea of how the changes feel.

I have a 2005 RC51 which I love and has all the bells and whistles but my 2021 CBR1000RR-R is amazing. Comfort speed handling shifting are all effortless. 15K+ rpm is unreal,
I think this bike is perfect!? 214 hp is perfect for any regular person riding on the street. I agree so much with "Ben Spies", speed & horsepower is just getting ridiculous now. All I'am looking for is a nice looking bike now. Something that suits me, not looking for what's the fastest, what turns the best, brakes the best, handles the best or which bike is more comfortable. Just something that suits me & what I like. & I love💗 this bike, & when you like something well enough you can make the faults it has work!!!!!
They need to make a smol version of this for absolute biggners like r15 is to r6 cheap smol easy to ride tuneabls motorcycle for trackdays that train you to ride r6 in future
I’ve always wanted one it’s such a special bike to me. Was just watching another review mr I’ve got this that and the other in my garage and ms this one underperforms but he’s got chicken strips on both sides almost 2 inches wide. Apparently there are no corners where he lives 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I had two cbr 1000rrs (2018 & 2019) and as much as I enjoyed their reliability & solid design I got rid of them and got a 2017 & 2018 bmw s1000rr, I do miss the lightness of the bike & the TFT display BUT I don’t miss having freezing hands on the long highway rides to work & also not having cruise control, I was a honda fan boy for almost a decade but I moved on 😌
@@ricardog4459 no cruise control, no heated grips, auto blipping / quick shift doesn’t even come stock on the models you have to pay more for that, the only reason why I “upgraded” from my 2015 was because of the tft display & new design

@@LiviuXSAuk here. We measured 185hp best case scenario. This factors in a calibrated machine with 12 percent loss from crank Absolutely no way a fire blade is making that kind of power to back tyre. That’s 260hp+ at crank. H2 yes but it’s forced induction.
The panigale v4's have had the warm up, soft limiter from 2018. It's 7k rpm on my bike. Honda needed to do something with this bike, sales have been terrible. It was to small, peg and bar wise for a normal sized person. Massively over geared and with the tracker fitted, unreliable.
Sport bikes should just sack the 1000 cc capacity. It was good for a 180hp or so engine. Now with power figures in excess of 200hp, it is guaranteed you have a feeble low and mid end. Just pump it up 100cc or so and you have a MUCH more versatily engine.
More competitive? Don't think so. Seems like a downgrade. This is not a race winning bike. Japanese manufacturers are getting complacent. No wonder ducati is dominating. They actually innovate.

the two motor ride by wire system means its a 2 cylinder in the corners and a 4 cylinder in the straight aways!
Gotta love the automatic access to a lawyer and optional license shredder under the triple clamp.
One of things i liked about the fireblade was the crazy boost at the top end.
But It has a big flatspot on the lows

That’s all you need honestly. The old one was solid, but now it’s actually a modern bike. Plenty of people should love this update.

The only missing on this bike that I can think of is a set of forge aluminum or carbon wheels to get more weight savings.

The bike now is looking absolutely perfect, minimal wing and sharper face this is what i wanted.

Lucky to get 180 out of it on a dyno. Mid range is quite weak too. We have tested 3 or 4. S1000r or v4 makes a lot more in all areas.
