    I've always had a theory that the blast from the Ultimate Weapon resulted in the creation of the Key & Mega Stones from the amount of Infinity Energy that collided with the battlefield when it struck. The Blast essentially reduced the battlefield down to Infinity Energy stones, Key Stones from Wielders and Mega Stones from their pokemon. That's why we only see Mega Stones for some pretty powerful pokemon, those stones are the result of the Infinity Energy from those fighting the war; no doubt they HAD to bring along powerhouses like Metagross and Tyranitar. It's a pretty macabre theory, but ORAS mentioning Infinity Energy being the lifeforce energy from pokemon coupled with the graveyards we see on Kalos' route 10, it lends itself to a pretty dark show-don't-tell on the origin of Mega Stones while also explaining their rarity.
    I know it doesn't mention that the Weapon was powered by the Legendaries, but the way the Weapon's use directly lines up with what the Kalos Legends do (Xerneas goes first, giving Floette life. Ylveltal was next, removing life from those fighting the war) to me it sounds like Az was a genius inventor who could reformat the weapon to fit both legendaries.
    Az is such an interesting character from his philosophy to his actions, and I really hope he shows up again. The live preview was great!

    with this in mind legends A-Z just announced will be "THE DARKEST POKEMON GAME EVER" what I think will happen is in this game you will see two happy kingdoms that work together until later in the game conflict begins the trust of the kingdom falls and the army will start a war with the other kingdom you will see war between people and Pokémon then you will see a once happy and thriving town gone with nothing but ash and fire then zygarde the keeper of nature will be in a frenzy you will most likely catch it to stop it but hey that's just a theory a Pokémon theory

    Kalos has an alright lore. I much prefer the lore from regions like Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. The Kalos war i don't think we ever see fully in possible Legends Kalos game. That would be too mature for Pokemon. They probably set Legends Kalos either before the war or after. AZ did suffer consequences for his actions. He was forced to live for many years without his beloved Floette and live with the knowledge of the atrocities that he committed as punishment.

    I may be incorrect, but I believe the legendaries are indeed directly connected to the ancient mega weapon as well. Sycamore believes that the energy from [legendary] used in the mega weapon irradiated evolution stones into mega stones. He may be incorrect, we know they do exist independently from [legendary] and the mega weapon in hoenn, however I view it pretty likely that they were used and they just couldnt make unique cutscenes involving both legendaries. The weapon does carry traits of both, in stealing life to lengthen anothers (yveltal) and immortality (xerneas). It may also explain why they are both in their cacoon state, as they would be drained of energy from the firing, reaching the end of their life cycle.
    As a side note, while I doubt it was intentional, I'm almost certain the MC becomes immortal through the events of the story. Assuming the mega weapon operated in its similar state as AZ's, who was given immortality by proximity to the firing, we were right beside the blast Lysandre did. In X he even explicitly tells you thats his intention for you. Now, surely I'd be reaching with the energy just from being nearby the blast right? Except the game confirms you've been exposed to it, because thats how you attune to the sundial in the postgame, that's the explanation.

    • @therealdrogane
      @therealdrogane  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is honestly a good hypothesis. The problem is within lore the only time the legendaries are specified to be connected in modern times. Not anicent times unforunately.

    • @therealdrogane
      @therealdrogane  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also in regards to thr energy blast - it was not a full power compared the original shot because of how much infinity energy was used.
      The modern equivalent was the power plant energy mixed with a legendary. Neither of which were apart of the original firing.

    • @benfawefwaeffwaefawfdekk2080
      @benfawefwaeffwaefawfdekk2080 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@therealdrogane Okay I was able to find the theory Sycamore posited, its when you upgrade your mega ring. The full quote is
      "Let's talk about Mega Stones briefly. My theory is that they're special stones irradiated by the light-- the energy of the Legendary pokemon [Yveltal/Xerneas]-- fired from the ultimate weapon 3000 years ago.
      So while Sycamore could be incorrect, for example the mega weapon could just be using Infinite Energy, and that being the energy Yveltal and Xerneas use for their powers independently from the weapon, it is of an expert opinion they were directly involved with the mega weapon during the kings rule. I just don't think AZ mentioned it because he only cared about flowette, and the aforementioned "making two cutscenes is hard" bit.
      As for the degree of power, I'm not so sure. We know the weapon drained 99% of the energy from the legendary pokemon. Now the pokemon does revive and sever from it, weakening it, but Lysandre says that it has enough for one full blast. Also, the emotional throughline of gen 6 (Delta Episode, the Mega Weapon) is not repeating the mistakes of the past, so I think its thematically relevant that its roughly on the level it was in the past as well. Not to mention that it uses the energies from all the tombstones as well.

    • @therealdrogane
      @therealdrogane  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @benfawefwaeffwaefawfdekk2080 Originally I considered AZ used Xerneas for the life restoration and Yvetal for the Ultimate Weapon, but again unless it's specifically stated in the lore - I cannot include it.
      Also, Sycamore did indeed theorize what you said but as a Professor he has to but it is never specifically stated in the actual lore as fact.
      So until then , it's speculation.

    I've only *just Commented on your Next Video somewhat regarding this,* but this Breakdown has given me _a Possible New Theory_ - that *_AZ was in fact the Ancient Hero of Hisuian Lore!_*
    It's widely believed that with his Giant Stature *AZ is of Celestican Descent* - as such, so would his Brother. The Celestic People are *known Worshippers of the Alpha Pokémon, Arceus* - and during _whatever Event caused him to become the Ancient Hero_ (assuming this theory True), *he gained the Favor of his Deity.*
    This would've _had_ to involve the Arrival of the Hoennic Refugees to Hisui, as the AH's Portrait is adorned in *the Diamond and Pearl Clan's Leaders' Houses,* in a position of Reverance *as High or Higher than their Clan Founders!* That Level of Devotion would only come from the AH's actions _having ensured the Survival of the New Immigrants to the Region against a Dire Threat..._
    My point is, that sometime after the AH performed this Legendary Feat, he would've either Died somehow - not too Fitting for such a Person - or he Left his Pokémon to Protect Hisui and *began Travelling to explore the Outside Lands.* He would eventually Settle Down upon encountering _a Land of untold Beauty:_ what would eventually become the *_Kalos Region..._*
    The rest is Hearsay, but I'd believe AZ's First major Kalos Pokémon Encounter would be with _a Tiny Flabébe searching for its own Flower to Bond with:_
    "The Search would lead *AZ and Flabébe* to caverns deep Underground _(later to become_ *_Terminus Cave)_* , where he encountered *the Spirit of the Natural Order: Zygarde.* With the Word of Flabébe _as Evidence of AZ's Purity of Heart,_ Flabébe was gifted the Extremely Rare *Eternal Flower* from Zygarde's personal Grove, and AZ _gained the Deity's Favor like he had with Arceus..."_
    "Using Crafting Knowledge learned from the Hoennic Immigrants, and his own Ingenuity as a Pokémon Wielder, *the now-Dubbed 'AZ' - Named for* *_his Ties to the PokéGods of Heaven and Earth_* - created a Thriving Kingdom with _Technological Advancements beyond those he learned from._ So upon learning an Invading Force from the NorthEast _(My thoughts lead to where Real-World Germanica - Germany - is to reference the scale of WW1,_ *_potentially even Led by Ghetsis' Ancestor:_* _linking them to what would be Our World's_ *_Nazi Regime...)_* was approaching Kalos with armies of Pokémon Wielders, _he reluctantly sounded the call to War..."_
    *"AZ's Brother,* who had travelled to join his new Kingdom, and had earned a position as *Secretary of Defence,* became _the Commander of Kalos' Military Forces,_ and sent their Armies to Intercept the Invaders. AZ was unaware however, that _this War was Incited by his own Brother, jaded by his Sibling's Achievements and Power_ - and he had brokered an Alliance to share the Region's Wealth in return for helping him Usurp his Brother! This Treaty was obviously something *both Parties intended to Break* as soon as the War was Over, being too Greedy to share and _planning to Conquer both Regions..."_
    "As means to *strike an Emotional Blow to his Brother,* AZ was convinced by his sibling that the War was going poorly, and they needed to send all Battle-worthy Pokémon to Assist - *including AZ's now-Evolved Floette,* who wanted to help protect it's Home! Begrudgingly, AZ accepted the Proposal despite his Fears of losing his cherished Partner, and _almost immediately regretted it:_ a Fear that was vindicated when he received *the lifeless body of his beloved Pokémon soon afterwards.* Depressed beyond Sanity, AZ provided his Brother access to _all_ the Kingdom's Resources to End the War before it reached the Kingdom, while He had Time to grieve for his Floette - *exactly how his Brother had predicted would happen.* They assured AZ of Victory and _set off to 'Win' the War..."_
    *To be Continued...*

    • @lianaverwood9810
      @lianaverwood9810 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      *Continued from First Post...*
      *"AZ* was completely Devestated by the Loss of *his Cherished Floette,* and couldn't let things go: In an act of Desperate Hope, he left with a group South _to hunt for a Mythical Treasure_ in the *Great Crater of Paldea* rumoured to grant many things - _including Resurrection and Eternal Life;_ While exploring what would become known as *Area Zero,* AZ encountered *a Mysterious Pink Fruit-like Pokémon* - it offered to Teach him how to Revive his fallen Friend and ensure it could never Die again, which AZ *recklessly accepted without Question;* An Excavation of the Tera Crystals in Area Zero began, and AZ soon _had designed a Device that would bring his Dear Floette back to Life..."_
      "Returning to *Zygarde's Grove where he entombed Floette's Remains,* AZ requested Zygarde's Aid to direct the Energy he'd send into Floette's Body in order to Revive it. Hearing his plight, Zygarde's Reply was:
      *_"If you truly Wish to do this, I shall assist you. But know that this goes Against the Natural Order, and as such, if you go through with this you Shall receive Discipline in a method of My Choosing..."_*
      AZ had _already made his Decision,_ and Triggered the Device to Fire upon *Terminus Cave..."*
      The Device functioned as Designed - the Infinity Energy was launched from *what became Geosenge Town* and was transmitted to Terminus Cave, where Zygarde Caught it. When Redirecting the Energy however, Zygarde launched it *_at both Flowette and AZ himself!_* AZ was overwhelmed by the Influx of Energy, and passed out...
      He came to, to find _that Floette had indeed returned to the Living!_ Embracing his beloved Pokémon once more, AZ enquired why Zygarde also targeted Him, to receive the Response:
      *_"This shall be Your Punishment - it is yet Floette's choice to forgive you, but I cannot. I was well aware that your 'Device' would use the Life Force of Countless Pokémon to restore the Life of your Friend - so despite their Decision, My Judgment is that You shall also Live Forever, with the Guilt of your Selfishness, and are no longer Welcome here..."_*
      AZ's Guilt would begin shortly, as _although it was Appreciative of how deeply AZ cared for it,_ after hearing what he had done to bring them back Floette couldn't completely forgive AZ for going this far - *so AZ's cherished Floette fled with Tears in its Eyes..."*
      "Returning to the Kingdom empty-handed, AZ half-heartedly continued to govern. His Brother had underestimated his former Ally, and Squandered the resources he'd brought with him, resulting in _his Army being pushed back inside Kalos' Borders._ With his Floette gone and an Invasion on his Doorstep, *AZ was* *_done_* *with this War:* He reconditioned the Device to the Inverse of its original Intention, turning it into *an Ultimate Weapon of Mass Destruction;* and with the Enemy being challenged in _the Temple Town of Couriway,_ it became the Target of this Weapon; AZ pulled the Trigger without any regard to his own People being caught in the Crossfire - *and the War Ended in an Instant..."*
      *"AZ's Brother* _had no Idea his sibling had constructed something so Devestating,_ but was fortunate enough to not have been Engaged in Battle himself at the Time. Witnessing the carnage first-hand from afar changed him - he realized *just what his Emotional Assault on his brother had caused,* and couldn't go through with taking over the Kingdom anymore. It was too late though: when he returned, *_AZ had already disappeared - Never to be Found..."_*
      This is my current thoughts on _how the Story of AZ may have occurred_ - there are a few things that led me to Aspects of this tale that may not be immediately apparent:
      *AZ* is quite obviously _not his Original Name,_ and is rather an *Assumed Name* - something one is Given or Takes for Recognition; this Name however also relates to _his Real-World Folklore Counterpart_ - *Ozymandius, King of Kings, the Alpha and the Omega...* and who are _the Alpha and Omega in Pokémon Lore?_ *Arceus and Zygarde,* if _their Pokédex Categorizations are anything to go by!_
      AZ's *Graphical Depiction* is also not likely _how he appeared at the Time,_ and is based upon how he appears in Present Day - *the only Physical Appearance anybody knows!* However, his depictions *do show him with a Green Scarf,* and in closer views _a familiar erratic Hexagonal Patterning on the Scarf_ - this is the same patterning found on *Zygarde,* meaning AZ might have had _enough of a significant Interaction with this Pokémon to integrate this pattern into his Clothing..._
      Who else was _a Giant-Bodied Legendary figure with a Green Scarf?_ *The Ancient Hero of Hisui!* While this may seem like Circumstantial Evidence, take into account *AZ's known living Relative* - the one _who Inherited the knowledge of the Ultimate Weapon's Existence:_ *Lysandre...*
      Spiky Orange Hair like that is something that runs in a Family - *Alder's Family, to be precise!* Alder's relation to Hisui's Ancient Hero is already significant enough, but *_Two Spiked-Orange-Haired Legends around the same Time can't be a Coincidence!_*
      That's what I've got, anyway - if I've got anything wrong lore-wise, let me know. This is only my Opinion and isn't proven, just what I've deduced from the Information at hand...

I think the only reason the history of the crater doesn’t match up with Kalos history is because like was said in this video I feel like most there to experience probably died. They probably had a technology setback and likely their history changed being told over time. The weapon goes into space first so maybe that’s why they think it was made by a meteor. Maybe they got the dates and the fact it wasn’t a meteor wrong. The survivors probably did think it was a meteor.

    Really cool.
    Made me think of modern Kanto and Johto like they were being oppressed by the larger Greco-Roman nation and after the weapon destroyed the majority of it refugees renamed something near Johto to Kanto while others split off to new places.
    Makes me wonder if Pallet Town's description as a fairly new and quiet town means the survivor/refugee theory is true.

      Was the Greco-Roman nation also called Kanto?
      I'm desperate for the weapon to have been built from mining within the ancient area zero and AZ meeting his Floette there.

      Based on my evidence no. However Kanto would have been created by the Celestica Culture through Johto.

    I wonder if AZ’s brother has any relation to the lineage of the two royals from galar that take zacian/zamazenta in post game👀 anyone have anything to add to my theory that may help or disprove? I’m unsure if anything points to the kings brother relocating if he survived after everything

    • @therealdrogane
      @therealdrogane  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly, probably not as he dies shortly after taking over kingship and it's kind of alluded his line descends all the way down to Lysandre.

      i don't know@@therealdrogane i really wouldn't rule it out entirely. The events that lead up to AZ's actions taking place was over a thousand years ago, so its quite possible that the two royals from galar have some of AZ's brother blood flowing through them I be it unknowingly. Bloodlines do thin out over the centuries after all.

    hmmm unova remake but not just univa though univa and alola and what if the blue berry academy was built on terrapagos if you see the blue berry academy isnt on land but on waster even terrapagos i on water the terra crystas now you might be asking why the reason they did combine johto and kanto in heart gold and soulscilver and the origianl gold and silver was becasue they wanted to tend the poekmon cideogames for godo so yeah they gave it their best so yeah but here that neccesariy doesnt have to be ithe case since alola is hawaii ad unova is north america georgraphically closer

    The king did nothing wrong az was not the king it was the king's brother I think they had a battle that ugly piece of s*** versus mew cuz the king had a mew if you visit the king and you see mew the floor opens up in the castle also there's another time you can get there and sleep in the bed if you have the right team and they will allow you to do that princess thing might be in here too but they didn't put the love story in so I guess it has something to do with that girl who fights all the time with the lucario's

      not really if anything else the direction of the ultimate weapon fired on seems to be the pokemon world's version of Vikings with the celestica people filling in that role. Think about it we find a lot of Greek architecture in various different regions from Shinnoh, and Unova.
