Bought one a few weeks ago and am really happy with the industrial design and fabrication. I was tempted to throw it at a brick wall just to see if it would survive but I'm not made of money. It rains a *lot* here in western Pennsylvania so one of my requirements is not having to baby it on a thunderstorm day at the range.
The Kestrel is everything you say. Practice score integration is waiting on Kestrel to do a firmware update according to practice score website. I bought a shooters global as the font size on the string read out is too small for my eyes. But, that product is no where near as robust.
The shooters global has great support from the creators. Always updating it to the users needs. But it doesn’t have a dedicated go button which annoyed me to get rid of it.
Any chance you could do a vid on this in depth, eg which features you’re running throughout a standard session and more setting specific stuff on the kestrel?
Not that it's such an issue if the battery life is really good, but for the price and due to the fact that it takes 2x 123's, it would be great to see it be dual fuel (2x123 or 1x 18650 rechargeable.)
@@torranceparsons5216 picks up any small sound no matter how low I set the sensitivity ( and I mostly use outdoor ranges), syncs with the phone for the first video and then it hangs up the rest of the session. I contacted Shooters Global, they asked me to reset, then take a video of the issues when they happen etc. I did all of that and then they said they could not reproduce the issues on their end and they cannot help me!
Mine cannot pick up both suppressed rifle and unsuppressed pistol without adjusting the sensitivity every time. I either miss shots or get extra shots due to echo. Also, my first timer shit the bed in less than 3 months. At least their customer service is good
For ipv6, a custom mould, two screens, the custom pad cutout probably 80 to 120 per unit manufactured. Then shipping from manufacturer so totally unit of around 80 to 200
@@American_hobo The pocket pros don’t like water but other than that there isn’t any quality issues with a pocket pro. I don’t need it to survive tire apocalypse i need it to go deep and record noise.
@@swiftaudi ive had two so far, first one lasted quite a while but eventually just stopped turning on. Second one the battery connection to the circuit board broke after about a month. Im not saying pocketpro’s are trash, but they are clearly less durable than the kestrel in my experience.
@@swiftaudi is it? One is water proof and doesn’t shoot the battery cover off when dropped on concrete, the other does. It doesn’t take an engineering degree to see basic durability improvements.
I've been very satisfied with my AMG Commander.

I really like the pact club shot timer 3

I've had mine for a while and it's been great. I like all of the adjustability, all the modes, plus it picks up on dry fire.
Picks up on dry fire?
@@jackieevans3809 Picks up the click of the trigger.
Best and is most expensive....fuck. That tracks with most everything in any hobby.
Kestrel products are awesome!!!
I have a club timer 3 i bought for CAS.

A NICE LOUD BEEP .... _shooters global miserably exits the chat_
The new one is obnoxiously loud lol
😂
Love mine too.
nice color too
Amg commander is great at picking up shots also tough. Take 3+ months to get one tho
Can't wait for you to try the new CANIK ME03. They out "Holosun'd" Holosun - Just as nice as the 507Comp at under 200 bucks "street price". 😉
how long are the batteries lasting on the kestrels? Mine seems to be lasting forever
You are due for another Shooters Global Timer review/ thoughts! My Shooters Global timer has been awful :-)
What kind of issues are you having?

Not the topic of the video but what is your opinion of the pact club III timer Ben?
Does it reliably pick up suppressed shots?
What’s the cheapest shot time that isn’t hot garbage?
Can it cable or Bluetooth connect to ear pro?
With ya there.. quality.. why buy 2 or 3 shitty once to eventually buy the one that just works?!

Pact has zero issues out of the box with no gimmicks BUT unfortunately not waterproof
Why do you sell the pocket pro timer on your website and why don’t you sell the kestrel timer on your website?
Kestrel won't do deals for smaller distributors iirc
I really wonder what the BOM cost of this is. Probably like $20 or less.
For ipv6, a custom mould, two screens, the custom pad cutout probably 80 to 120 per unit manufactured. Then shipping from manufacturer so totally unit of around 80 to 200
So, if the Kestrels are so good, how come you’ve bought your 4th timer?
He said at the end of the video he travels with 2 and keeps 1 in each office...
I guy could buy 3 pocket pros for the cost of one kestrel
Or a guy could buy a kestrel that will outlive 3 pocket pros. Buying quality is sometimes a bigger factor than cost per unit.

Not fan, as a pure timer it's expensive big and clunky. No thanks.
