What an intro and what a video, your dedication for random info, sightseeing and small videos from here and there are so worth waiting months for. Love your videos
I don't have enough words to convey my impression of watching the video. You have combined wonderful landscapes and stories about the history of Norway. I made a little virtual mesmerizing trip. Thank you, I will wait for new stories about Norway. The video is professionally and qualitatively made, and the stories about the history of your country are very interesting. I know you've worked hard on this video, so thank you again for your work.
Spellbinding intro. A great prelude to an excellent video that is almost 'documentary' style in it's presentation. A great evening's entertainment. Tusen Takk!
The opening sequence is the best I have seen. Really sets the mood for the history lesson to come. Love the cutaways whilst in tunnels. And yes, I'd like to see more, not necessarily just history, but pointing out various landmarks, famous places etc. Great video GingerRail!
You've really raised the bar for quality train cab ride videos. From video/production quality, to information provided, the others (who are already awesome) have their work cut out for them. 👍🏻👍🏻
I like how you blended in the old turn table with your channel icon at the beginning. The drone shots (with information of the area) add a beautiful perspective of Norway for the viewer and keeps them interested for more. I learned a few things about Norway that I didn’t know before. The map works well identifying the route for street or satellite viewing. Very professionally done. Have you considered adding a private mailing address in your channel description, such as, Mail Boxes Etc. or UPS for viewers to send mail to you? You’ve obviously put a lot of work into this video and it shows. Sláinte chugat!
Thank you so much for your feedback Bruce! These kind of comments helps me a lot with my progression as a "film maker". I have considered adding a private mailing address, but have not come to a conclusion yet. I to find a good solution that fits me well:) But I will make sure to notify you whenever I get to set that up! Again, thank you so much for feedback and tips!
Like other commentators, I think that this is a fantastic video. I particularly liked the first few minutes where you discussed the historical importance of Eidsvoll. I would lime more videos like this one.
Thank you for your feedback Raymond! I have been sick for a little while with no energy to do any video editing. But I am recovering now, so hopefully I will get more videos like this out there soon :D
voor te starten::::die intro en informatie en de route op de kaart vind ik zeer zeer intersant en leerrijk!!! de opname zelfs is mooi prachtige natuur bedank en de groeten JULIEN
Have only watched the introduction so far and love the use of the drone video coupled with the history of the area, also very beautiful music to back it up. I would really like more videos like this with the history of the areas that you drive through. Living in the US I do like to learn about other countries. The piece on the history of the Norwegian constitution and the manor house where it was written was very good. Noted as you left the airport at 17:41, on the left above the main line is the fuel terminal for the airport and you could see a line of tank cars. What made them special to me was that they seem to be interconnected so can be loaded and unloaded from a single point at each end of the rake of cars. We have a similar operation here on the west coast of the US.
I can't understand how this video was able to slip under my radar for so long! It was definitely worth watching. Fantastic is a word I don't overuse, but in this case I think I'll make an exception. Excellent drone shots and you've really done your homework for the background research. Too bad it was a somewhat gloomy day when you filmed the journey, but I'll still call this video a masterpiece. I'm really sorry I'm only able to give just one thumb up.
Cool to watch the landscape fly by like that. I wish we had electric passenger trains that go 200 km/h (just under 125 MPH) in the US. It’s not like we couldn’t, we just don’t. 😖
Thank goodness you haven't been forced to take down your channel as your unfortunate colleague TrainThor had to do. So sad that Vy has decided to ban all cab view recording (if I understand the situation correctly).
This doesn't happen often 😅 But, whenever it happens during the winter with lots of snow, it is a epic sight! Hope I get to show you during this upcoming winter!
@@GingerRailOriginal i wait for the winter too! Summer is also short there, and i need to squeeze a lot of activities in it. Looking forward for winter train watching :)

Hi Dana. Sorry for the silence from this channel. As for now, things are a bit unclear if it can be done. Until the situation is clarified, I have decided to place any further recording and editing on hold. But please, keep checking in for updates
Thought I could give you an update in this matter. I am curently working on getting the proper permissions from my employer so that I can film and publish new videos with my employers blessing. Not saying that I havent had that before, but this is very new to a lot of employers and they feel that they need to have some regulation to ensure safety is in order. I will get going with new material as soon as that is settled! 😁
@@GingerRailOriginal I hope your endeavours are successful. It would be a shame to lose you as your videos are approaching the standard set by Rail Cow Girl. Best wishes - Michael
@@GingerRailOriginal It is so ridiculous. The Dutch is the same ban due to one idiot but the drivers and the companies got together- some rules were posted and now the vidoes are postin at regular videos - contact Meester Stephen (Dutch)
Wow! They built an entire Airport for 110 million dollars US. That's great. Here in the US, they couldn't build a public toilet for less than 20 million.
Oh snap. Sorry my numbers where all off in my video. I need to get that corrected somehow. 11.4 billion Norwegian Kroner is aprox 1.3 billion US Dollars. In 1998, that would be equal to 2 billion USD. So, I was waaaaaay off! 😅
What an intro and what a video, your dedication for random info, sightseeing and small videos from here and there are so worth waiting months for. Love your videos

At 1:07:16, that view of the Drammen waterfront is pretty tight. And I love the 2 rail specific bridges arriving into that spectacular view.
Those bridges got some cool history too it. I will get back to that in a future video:)

I watched this video for Constitution Day.:) Thank you for all the information. Did the new tracks from Eidsvoll open on time?
The new tracks are open, but they closed the old one for upgrades. The whole ting opens in October this year:)
