I'm very glad I discovered your channel, GingerRail. Being able to watch cab rides in and around the Oslo area is a real treat. I had always wished I could move to Norge but, it never worked out. However, being able to see it from a train driver's POV is pretty great.
All the houses along the route appear beautifully maintained. But the Lørenskog station is a true gem. Its architecture and colors make it a joy to look at. It reminds me of the historic Kupferzell Station in Germany, which I used to admire from the train as a child. Thank you for letting us travel this enjoyable line with you, GingerRail ! Greetings from Georgia, USA.
I love how all of the buildings at the stops are happy, that is, they are always painted brilliant, cheerful, happy colors. Is it coincidental, or is there some science behind it all? I already know that Norway is generally a happy country, so maybe the painters just paint how they feel. 🌝
I'm having an Oslo kind of day, so here I am. By that I mean, I wish that I was in Oslo and not here 😆. BTW, in case I forgot, Happy New Year! All the best😁
@@GingerRailOriginal Ja takk ,flott med en retur tur også 🙂 Type 69 var ganske ny når jeg reiste mest på denne strekningen ,syntes å huske at det var rå akselerasjon på de togene....for å være på den tiden 😀
Second what Don Town just said, to see the original line is nice, further to get a ride in a class 72 was great as well. Just prior to leaving each station, the PA had an announcement which I would like to know what it said, thanks again for the great videos.
At Oslo S, the PA says: "Dørene lukkes" (the doors are closing), then the PA announce each station: "Neste stasjon er xxx" (the next station is xxx), followed by: "Avstigning høyre side" (disembark at the right han side) or "avstigning venstre side" (disembark at the left hand side) The "doors are closing" annoucement for each stop is edited out, in order to make station stops shorter:)

Sound is so much different than FLIRTs there. Sometimes it sounds almost like downshifts!
Thanks for the video Ginger, your video quality is great :)
Thank you so much for your feedback Nick!
Thanks for sharing this special route that we don't usually get to see. Awesome!
You are very welcome!
The Type 72 has such a funky sound. Sounds like an F1 car when accelerating!
It sure does! 😅
Great vid. Hope you can keep them coming. You are doing a fine job.
So nice to see the above ground route instead of the tunnel between those 2 cities. Cheers from Vancouver.
So glad you enjoyed it! Hope to show more of it soon

Maybe a bit of everything? I really don´t know. But it might just be;)
Thanks for the video. Finally made a virtual trip from Oslo to Lilistrem Hovedbanen
I will try to bring you more in the future:)
Nice crisp station names ... an enjoyable trip!
Thank you so much for your feedback Michael!

Koolt med de små forklarende meldingene du har editert inn, fortsett med det ! hilsen Harald K
Takk for tilbakemelding! Kommer nok mer av slike ting fremover:)
The 72 is the best looking and sounding EMU in Norway. Could do with a fresh paint job though.
A new paint job would look nice on this trains, indeed!
