As I said, I love her book, but I will say that she hangs her hat on her being vegan as opposed to Whole Food Plant Based. There are things in her book that I will not make, or that I will modify, because she uses refined oil, sugar, and white flour. She’s young and has never had a weight problem and I admire her for everything she’s done, but I wanted to be sure to add that, precaution🌻🥰🌻
I love beans but have never made pinto don’t know why not but now I will . Just ordered Toni’s book great reviews with a pic it says for every recipe. Thank you Nan for the video ❤
Enjoy her book! I do want to mention that she is vegan, but not Whole Food Plant Based. What I mean by that is that she uses refined products like sugar and flour and oil. She’s young and it’s not had health issues or 08 problem, and I still admire her for all that she’s done.🌻🥰🌻
Thanks Nan another helpful video. I really like when you recommend cookbooks. There are so many out there it gets confusing on which would be the most helpful, I am going to look into her book because of your recommendation. I also love pinto beans.
Hi Rita! I want to clarify that I love her book, and I’m happy with what I’ve made, but, although she’s vegan, she’s not strictly whole food plant-based, and therefore most of her baked goods use ingredients, I wouldn’t, like oil, sugar, and processed flours. I will have to play around with some of them, and just leave some of them alone.
Seems like a wonderful recipe :D great idea with the sauté at the end :)! Toni is great :) interesting to learn how common pinto beans are over there - I barely ever see them here in Sweden ^^ thank you for sharing
Hi M Chagawa! Due to the influence of our South American, neighbors, and their love of the pinto beans, for a good reason, we also love them. This recipe woke me up to the value of using them more often. I think they’re delicious and very versatile.🌻🥰🌻
Hi uncle Adams. According to Jill.Nussinow in her wonderful cookbook, Vegan Under Pressure, both green and brown lentils are best at six minutes, (unsoaked), with a 10 minute release afterwards. If you enjoy your innocent pot as much as I do, her book is a nice addition to your library.🌻🥰🌻
Thanks for showing. Really enjoy your channel.
I LOVE PINTOS
Thank you for this video. Pinto beans are my favourite legume. I plant to make this recipe.

The beans look great, Nan. Do you know how long to cook green lentils in the instant pot?

Use a small piece of Kombu instead of salt…….
Thank you for this reminder JP. I
use Kombu with most beans that I cook. Great reminder.🌻🥰🌻
