Just commented on your Sony Alpha 350 review and now I find that I'm here for this too! I have two F2's (including the final DP12 'AS' model). With my 50mm f1.2 lens mounted they are enormously heavy to the point where I rarely have them with me. Having some physical 'issues', it's just too much weight for an old man (63) like me. A younger and fitter man would have no problems though (recommend the widest shoulder strap you can find). It's also worth mentioning that the F2 range is expensive. The two I bought (months apart) were a combined UK £1,200 (including precautionary servicing). If you're thinking of buying one, I suggest using an established seller (e.g. Gray's of Westminster in London) and paying the extra for peace of mind. Liking this channel very much - subscribed.

It is a wonderful camera - as long as the resistor ring in the meter is still good, the one weak point. I had mine repaired. If your looking for bullet proof, go with the F4. Both superb kit.

I love this camera and i agree it is the best 35mm slr. I love using mine. But nothing is indestructible. People have destroyed these. But take good care of them, have them overhauled every 20-30 years, and no reason they can’t go for a hundred years or more.

Over the decades, I have owned and used the following film and digital cameras:
    1. Large format, medium format and small format cameras
    2. SLR, TLR, view, folder, and rangefinder cameras
    3. Ansco, Kodak, Diana, Holga, Graflex, and Calumet view cameras
    4. Argus, Canon, Contax, Fuji, Leica, and Minolta rangefinder film cameras
    5. Nikon, Pentax, Fuji, and Mamiya SLR film cameras
    6. Nikon F, F2, F3, F4, N70, N2000, and EM 35mm film SLR cameras
    7. Olympus, Fuji, Leica, and Canon digital cameras
Of all the cameras I have owned and used, the Nikon F2 with standard non-metered prism has my personal favorite camera.

Hey, I have one of those, somewhere in a closet in a camera case…I bet I haven’t looked at it in 25 years, I should dig it out
