One of the funny things I find about leaks is that most of the leaks that say super specific stuff like “omg the Nintendo Switch 2 will be be announced on the 32nd of September at 11:39pm!!!” tend to not be right, but the leaks where a random known figure shows up on a forum, says something random about it unprompted and then just leaves are the leaks that tend to be correct, like Pyoro or some of the Smash leaks. NatetheHate’s comment definitely seems like the latter.

I feel like nintendo is going to do more than just make a better switch... With the PC handhelds being so good right now they have more competition for where people buy their portable games. I buy significantly less games on switch right now and its because why bother when i can get a better experience elsewhere and its likely cheaper.
Its a different market in 2025, i think Nintendo knows this too. If they want to get the same kind of success they will need to do something different. Its wild how everyone is saying Nintendo will play it safe, but when have they ever done that? Theres definitely some unexpected surprises awaiting us with this reveal
I don't know, despite there being other handhelds out there, none of them have the impressive exclusive lineup that nintendo does. I have a pc setup and a ps5 and still purchased a nintendo switch just for the exclusives.
@sethw8459 yeah their exclusives will always be a draw but third party will probably see a lot more sales on pc
I hate how Nintendo makes you buy and download a game and then ask you to be connected and many times pay to play it, it is a horrible practice as a company.
In the past we used to buy a game and just play, not anymore.
When does this happen?
I buy a physical copy of a game; I put it in and play it immediately.
When I buy something from the eshop, it works immediately after its downloaded, with or without connection.

Nintendo has time and time again failed at producing an adequate number of consoles to meet supply. I really hope they don't mess that it up this time playing it safe.. I don't want to wait a year and a half after launch, and I don't want to pay a scalper.
