35:12 Cleet, if you get yourself some PlastiDip and dip the extensions you’ll use around the intakes it will drastically reduce the amount of scratches you’ll get. You can even put a light coat on the socket. It’s what my grandpa does for the extensions he used around billet parts.
The SMX was a water jacketed engine hence the drag and drives. Steve offers the SMX in a dry deck setup as well as a wet deck. It also was capable of removing the head with the intake still intact.
All SMXs are dry decked, that water jackets do not use the deck to move fluid from the block to the head. They are all plumber externally with AN line, making them a bit of a plumbing nightmare
Proline hemi can remove the heads while nit removing the intake as well. Biggest difference between proline hemi and the smx is pretty major...biggest benefit is the support behind it for parts and one of the baddest tuners on the drag racing scene.

Fast forward 10 years, and the Cleetus is racing the fastest cars in the NHRA. And it all started right here. Well it started a while back, but you know what I'm talking about. This is American racing history right here. And we're witnessing it firsthand.
You should look at installing a smaller version on your chair. Just imagine the fun you could have zooming around the fab machines 😂 Love ya work brother 👍

Be interesting to see where you guys go with the Proline engine. It’s an absolutely amazing work of mechanical art. It’s nice to see the whole crew participating in the process. Thanks for the Videos.
I think the surprise was due to the fact that they used to have head bolts that faced into the lifter valley. This is a new feature that comes with their new revised design.
Hope is a FRESH PLR TURBO 572CI STAGE 4 481X ENGINE PLR’s most powerful and reliable Hemi engine platform just received an extensive update with the new Raised Cam design. Improvements include; a .650” raised cam, ability to run a bigger cam core, shorter pushrods and revised rocker gear assembly which all combine to add stability to the valvetrain. Larger head studs were added to the upper row to increase clamping force on the head gaskets. Also, the inner head stud has been eliminated, so now you can remove cylinder heads without removing the intake which saves valuable time between rounds. In both Turbocharged and Centrifugal Supercharged applications, we have seen a significant performance advantage in favor of the Raised Cam Hemi over our “standard” Hemi.
And yet as great as it is, It still might blow up sometime. Hopefully it doesn't, but I can't wait to see the normal know-it-alls in the comment section spouting a bunch of stuff they don't know anything about
It wasn’t that long ago that Cleeter was making trips to the wrecking yard and pulling used LS’s out of trucks for his race cars. And now a Pro Line Hemi! I don’t think Cleeter fully understands the realm he is stepping into. This engine is just the entry point. To be competitive at this level you really need to keep at least one spare short block in the trailer and at least one additional set of assembled heads plus spare pistons, rings, rods, lifters, push rods, rockers, injectors, etc. If it can fail the top teams have at least one spare and sometimes multiple.
He knows about spares. He also knows the first few breaks he can get more clicks from the not having it drama. Mullet's about due to finally have spare everythings; give Eagle a year or three.
@@lordcommander3224they have a spare now they just didn’t know the primary was hurt because his paid tuner missed it in the logs and the ratios are close enough that it wasn’t nosing over making it obvious so he didn’t feel it in the car
Cleet and gang, I'm currently working on the Freedom Factory for Assetto Corsa and it's almost ready to be raced on, It's still missing a lot of stuff but the oval track it's self is basically complete. I'm planning to host a few races on it very soon, but would love to hear back from someone from the team first to make sure it's okay to do so first. Rev this baby to the moon 🦅🦅
"Don't touch my PushRod, Jackstand!!!" - Cleetus 2024 Well dang I lost the engine debate competition. I know alot of guys were saying Proline but I didn't think you were going to go full tilt and go actual 4 seconds ProMod. I guessed SMX because I thought you wanted to drag and drive it but this thing is a whole other level. Just the Cam alone will slightly rotate the earth with just a small blip of the throttle. After all the spitting and shouting that was done online I don't think anyone got the model right though. I should have known it was going to be their biggest and baddest unit with all the upgrades. This is no joke Garrett you need to step up your game on this one. You need to hire a designated pit manager whose job is to finely monitor all this. Definitely need a run counter plus a rack ready to go with extra parts all set. No more goofn around on this one. You going into the major leagues now. The content coming is going to be insane.
I know for a fact that atleast one person got it right and most likely the majority of people that knows that level of racing got it right it’s a no brainer PLR is kicking everyone’s azz at that level and it’s not changing anytime soon and nobody can even think about touching there parts availability they have so much pull with the supplier’s that something that hed,sm,henson, bae, noonan has a year wait time on proline can have on there door step the next morning

@@ourtexasfamilyvideos62 Im not sure of all the difference's between the 2 engines. I do know that Noonan has 4.8 & 4.9 bore space on their hemi's. The MH7 Proline only has the 4.8 bore space.

Cleet, if you get yourself some PlastiDip and dip the extensions you’ll use around the intakes it will drastically reduce the amount of scratches you’ll get.
You can even put a light coat on the socket. It’s what my grandpa does for the extensions he used around billet parts.
Smart! 🤓
Really don't know how I've never thought of this. Great idea
Yes Sir, great idea!! My Uncle uses heat shrink tubing on long tools to prevent scratches, or arcing.
That is gold smarts only a veteran mechanic would come up with that
The SMX was a water jacketed engine hence the drag and drives.

I think the surprise was due to the fact that they used to have head bolts that faced into the lifter valley. This is a new feature that comes with their new revised design.

FRESH PLR TURBO 572CI STAGE 4 481X ENGINE
PLR’s most powerful and reliable Hemi engine platform just received an extensive update with the new Raised Cam design.
Hopefully it doesn't, but I can't wait to see the normal know-it-alls in the comment section spouting a bunch of stuff they don't know anything about
@@ls_812they ALWAYS do. Especially when hammered with “lack of maintenance”.

He doesn’t even keep a spare transmission yet. 😂
He knows about spares. He also knows the first few breaks he can get more clicks from the not having it drama. Mullet's about due to finally have spare everythings; give Eagle a year or three.
@@lordcommander3224yes they do, LeRoy got a spare when thy went to a different center section.
Eagle might get a dedicated trailer, complete with sufficient spares …

Well dang I lost the engine debate competition.
