    Every song you hear from Pink Floyd is going to be different from the previous one! That's one of the main reasons people like them so much because they keep reinventing themselves but in a really great way!!

      Yes, that’s what I like. I like when Ben don’t sound the same on every song that’s one thing I hate about some rap songs that I can take a verse from this song or from that song and put it all together and it still sounds the same.

    Much better with the pausing. Excellent! I promise you that the Pink Floyd song "Comfortably Numb" LIVE from Pulse will blow your mind and alter the way you think about music. Again, not an overstatement. Blow. Your. Mind. Promise.

    The 1994 PULSE collection of live songs features 3 members of Pink Floyd from the 1960s performing at around age 50, along with 7 other amazing musicians/singers.

      Yeah, I want to do some more studio songs first and then I’ll go to Pulse

    This IS Pink Floyd.

    Very early Pink Floyd was VERY different to 1969 onwards. The main line up was Syd, Roger, Richard and Nick.
    When Syd started becoming incapable of playing a live set (ie he would just play one note or a completely different song) Dave Gilmour was brought on board to help cover for him.
    So as an "older" PF fan, I would highly recommend starting with the transition album "Meddle"
    It has a real mix of tracks, with "One Of These Days" and "Echoes" pointing towards the future.
    Heads up, "Echoes" is the entire Side 2 of the album, and has a long "soundscape" of noises produced by the bands instruments. The lyrics describe how all life started in the depths of the oceans, struggled onto the land and eventually became us. We are just echoes of that first life, are all related and should be better human beings!
    With all tracks from that point onwards the lyrics tackle some pretty deep human experiences, it's not about how hot some chick looks.

    The best song that gives you a bit of everything from Pink Floyd is the AUDIO ONLY version of "Money" from the album The Dark Side of the Moon
    NOT THE OFFICIAL VIDEO! That's a cut down radio version.
    Dave Gilmour (Lead Guitar, Vocals)
    Roger Waters (Bass Guitar, Vocals & Lyrics)
    Richard Wright (Keyboards, Vocals)
    Nick Mason (Drums)
    Pink Floyd reference founding band member Syd Barrett who was dropped from the band end of the 60's suffering severe mental health issues and the effects of drug abuse.
    This entire album is about Syd.
    During recording, a fat bald man with shaved off eyebrows walked into the studio. It took several minutes before they realised it was their old dear friend Syd. Roger broke down in tears when he saw what Syd had become!

      Oh damn. Yeah I did a little research last night and it said that syd left in 69

    You may enjoy the live performances from Pulse 1994, of course with the live performances they do have a huge number of support musicians on stage. David Gilmore is harmonising with his guitar during this song. If you watch the live performance it will become clear. Roger Waters had left before the Pulse concert though they had a one off reunion for Live 8.

    This is Pink Floyd performing- definitely not a cover. Check out Comfortably Numb LIVE at Pulse by Pink Floyd. It features one of the best guitar solos ever.

    • @Djdirtydiamond
      @Djdirtydiamond  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Everybody keeps talking about their pulse, but some people told me I should do the studio version first before I look at that. What is your recommendation?

    • @keyrat1753
      @keyrat1753 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Djdirtydiamond My preference is usually studio first, followed by live. Pink Floyd were absolute masters of live performances, and their 1994 Pulse collection of live songs is outstanding. You’ve already listened to the studio version of Comfortably Numb…wait until you SEE them perform it live at Pulse.

    • @Djdirtydiamond
      @Djdirtydiamond  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@keyrat1753 so you think I should listen to the studio then go to Lulse and listen to the Pulse version of it or should I listen to all the studio first and then listen to all the Pulse at one second

    • @Djdirtydiamond
      @Djdirtydiamond  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Will do

    • @keyrat1753
      @keyrat1753 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Djdirtydiamond I would go song by song, studio first followed by live, BUT it will take you a LOT of time to do both (studio and live) for every song, some songs will be perfect to only hear the live version. For example, 2 of my favorite Pulse songs are SORROW and RUN LIKE HELL. In my opinion, I would skip the studio version of both and just do the Pulse version.
