I am just about to complete my initial CERT training, with plans on additional sessions, so I really enjoy hearing about field medicine, hygiene and basically just trying to stay comfortable and safe in emergency and disaster situations. I always find a little tidbit I think I can put 'in my tool bag'. Thanks for all you do. Been watching your vids for about a year now. Cheers!

I have run the D3CR (the little brother to the one in the vid) for about 2 years now with SWAT. I *LOVE* it! I used to run a slick plate carrier with a war-belt type of setup, but this chest rig clips into my Mayflower vest like it was meant to be. Immediate items at the ready and once past care under fire, I can swap to my M9 bag. I don't see me changing from this setup any time soon. Highly recommended.

Brian, check out Mike Lamb of Stoic Ventures 'Introduction to Horus Vision Precision Rifle' class. I believe he's based out of Texas now. The class was a single day but he brought scopes with the horus reticule to put on your rifle and taught us how to use them to actually sight in and shoot out to distance. It was a great way to get a good into to how the system works.

I have a D3CR. I liked the opportunity to velcro it to armor. But the flat pack part was mind blowing! Feeling like a blind man who can see, a baby who can walk, a... Ok. You got it, right?

Could you fit either of ITSTactical ETA trauma kits in the GP Pouch of the D3CRX?

I'm concerned about what if any damage to my compass the rare earth magnets in the d3cr will cause if I keep it in the general purpose pouch- any thought on that or any info that will dispel this concern? thank you

I have a question for your next "Question over coffee", that is actually about coffee.
Not sure if you take questions from TH-cam or only the ones from Twitter ...
Anyway it's about making coffee in the field.
Maybe you already made a video about that, like how to make coffee from MREs.
What options are they to make coffee on the go?

I've been looking at getting one of these to use for its intended purpose but also as an outdoors/hunting/adventure chest rig like the HPG Kit Bags are designed for. I like the organization of chest rigs over the Kit Bags and I'm used to this type of set up. Considered the Mayflower UW Gen IV but I think I'd overload it. This platform would force me to focus on necessities needed at the ready. I can always add the MM Hanger later. I've gone so far as to list out the pouches with what I would use them for. Has anyone else used it for a similar purpose? Hope to pull the trigger on a Ranger Green rig here soon.

So what chest rig would you suggest if you were doing a real world reconnaissance mission? For me I have to have something I can easily wear with or without body armor, as well as with a rucksack on my back.

If you don't have the money for formal training on an IFAK. If you ask nicely most combat medics can assist in teaching how to use the equipment. Your typical EMS education isn't going to hack it. Anyone has questions please feel free to contact me. Former 68W. I would be happy to teach tactical medicine to LEO or civilian sheepdog community.

Hey Bryan, could you go over some various tourniquet offerings and the pros and cons of each? I know you guys like the SOFTTs but I just wanted your opinion on others such as the CATs, RATs, or even SWAT-Ts. Thanks! #geartasting

Would it be possible to fit a 2L hydration pack into the Flatpack, either inside the pouch for hydration or inside the main pouch with a hanger? And on the Horus reticle, I run an H59 HDMR on my rifle, and honestly I've gotten used to it. It reduces the time it takes to line up a shot as you can "walk" along the lines for the most part to find a place to set the shot up, and you can use the horizontal lines at the top of the reticle (Rapid Range Bars) to gauge distance to a by putting lining up the size of the the target to the lines and it is pretty accurate.

"In its compressed state, the D3 FlatPack can run a 1 liter hydration bladder in the main compartment with additional small items like batteries, energy gels and chem lights stored in the dedicated admin chamber. Expanded, the main compartment can fit a fully loaded D3CR™, a helmet or a jacket while the admin can fit electronics and/or small binoculars." pulled this off of the product page. hopefully that helps some. www.haleystrategic.com/equipment/packs-and-bags/haley-strategic-flatpack

Did I hear that correctly? "EMT training didn't cover this"?!?!?!?! God help anyone that comes in contact with you or anyone else who became an EMT at the same place. Looking at the contents of the largest, most advanced medical kit that ITS offers, out of 12 items there's only 1 which you "should't" know how to use. That being the decompression needle which is out of any EMT's scope of practice that I know. That means 92% of the contents you should know how to use. Hell a child could use those things properly.

Fits great! I’m 5’9” 125lbs and a B cup. I can cinch the thing tight to my body while wearing just a T-shirt. It can actually go tighter than my body will allow so it would fit someone smaller than me.
One of the main reasons I got this rig was because it was one of the only well made ones that actually fit me well and wasn’t terribly bulky.
