    In the Swiss Army, we carry an specific Adapter for those stripper clips in the Pistol grip in our rifle (sig550 / stgw90). The Ammunition comes also pre loaded up with 10 Rounds per Clip out of the Box.. Pretty slick and easy to use..

    Bryan, look up videos using Montblanc refills in cheaper pens. Interesting side note, the Pilot G-2 gel pens contain antifreeze in the ink. Might be helpful for cold weather environments.

    Lancer also makes a clear mag with no grey or tan tint to them. It seems that those are harder to find, though.

    There are other manufacturers that make pens that take the Fisher space pen cartridge. Fisher themsleves also make other models of the space pen too that work a little better.

    For lack of a google search, reviews of that Mont Blanc says that the cap doesn't post to the pen when off. Is this true? If so, what do you do with the cap while writing? Seemed strange, especially for that pricy of a pen.

    • @kentrik999
      @kentrik999 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most Embassy pens are the same way - they're done as such so that when you loan someone your pen, you can hang on to the cap so that they don't forget and just pocket it....and with a pen as expensive as a Mont Blanc is, it's not surprising.

    People try to seek 31 rounds into a mag...then they blame the mag for not working or not locking into the magwell.

  • @TheGreatWolf44
    @TheGreatWolf44 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Also a magazine loaded to 28 is easier to seat on a closed bolt

    • @W1ckedRcL
      @W1ckedRcL 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dylan Cicero 28 or 30 makes no difference with good training.

    • @TheGreatWolf44
      @TheGreatWolf44 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joshua Sibio I don't load to 28, I know some who do for that reason. I've seen a couple very well trained individuals drop a full mag under stress because it wasn't fully seated. Your mileage may vary.

    • @W1ckedRcL
      @W1ckedRcL 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dylan Cicero Touche' sir. But it all comes down to training. Although as you said, high stress environments can be unpredictable. However muscle memory and repetition helps a great deal. If you're used to shoving the magazine into your weapon hard and you know the feeling of a proper lock, things behave. Also the push/pull is a good habit to get into if you've had mags drop under stress.

      cloudcleaver23 take the mag apart, look at the follower, there will be a mark on the inside of the rear anti tilt portion, file down until reach that mark, reassemble magazine

    The 27/28 round thing in a 30 round magazine is to assist people with loading an AR when the bolt is closed. AFIAK, this idea started back in the mid/late 2000's. Basically you'd have LEOs and some military folks that were smaller framed and issued newish magazines with tight springs. When you try to load an AR with a full 30 and a closed bolt you have to use significantly more force than loading a 27/28 round magazine. I do this, I train women to do this, it works well for me. 11B's and 0311's think I'm a pussy, but hey, I'm a pussy who can reliably reload without tugging on the bottom of my mag to ensure it's seated.
    People in the know will realize that the AR was intended to be combat reloaded when the bolt is held back and open. You insert the magazine and drop the bolt. This type of reload doesn't face resistance against the bolt, because the bolt is pulled back.

    • @psybain
      @psybain 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just slap the bottom like you mean it when you load it on a closed bolt and you'll have no problems. It's so easy a pog can do it.

    *Never load any magazine to full capacity* is in the same vein of thought as *ARs can only be run super clean and extremely wet* or *AKs never jam!* It is false logic based on poorly performing guns/gear. Buy good stuff and it isn't an issue.
    When talking about AR magazines, Pmags are the standard, everything else needs to be vetted.

    • @carbonking53
      @carbonking53 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sunshine_Shooter I can tell you a few stories on faulty Pmags. All mags regardless of brand need to vetted before you bet your life on them.

    • @NOLATAC
      @NOLATAC 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wrong

    • @W1ckedRcL
      @W1ckedRcL 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sunshine_Shooter Pmags are not a standard. I can't use Pmags because the way I was taught and trained to reload my weapon, instead of push/pull, I slam that bitch into the magwell. It seats properly, the first time. With Pmags, because of the force I use, the plastic gets fucked up on the mag release latch and I've had feed lips break on the bolt carrier. I only use steel mags and I've been using Lancer mags for several years now because the main body of the magazine is polymer with the mag release depression and feed lips are made of steel. They work spectacularly. Fuck Pmags.
      I agree with you about everything else you said. loading 28 instead of 30 is result of using shit gear. Lowest bidder aluminum with bad followers. Also fuck running ARs wet. I've been using and building gas piston ARs for several years and I've never had a problem. Just as reliable and accurate as a DI gun.

    • @NOLATAC
      @NOLATAC 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joshua Sibio there are several reasons most knowledgeable people do not load at mags to full capacity.

    • @W1ckedRcL
      @W1ckedRcL 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      NOLATAC The only reason I know of, aside from competition, is because of bad gear. Poor follower design in aluminum mil-standard mags causes malfunctions, due to follower tilt and springs that are too strong or too weak, when they're loaded to a full 30 rounds. I was taught that in boot camp, infantry school, unit training, pre-deployment training, and every other kind of weapons or training school I've been to. That's why you can purchase enhanced and aftermarket followers and springs for mil-spec aluminum mags. That's also why Pmags, Lancer mags, and every other kind of polymer, steel, new type aluminum mag, and/or aftermarket magazine out there comes with an 'anti-tilt' follower. If there's another reason why we're taught not to fully load mags I'd like to know what it is..
