There are coffee packets here in Japan that you pour the water in one side of the packet fill it up until it reaches the max amount of recommended water, cap that end wait the allotted time then uncap the opposite end and pour it out. Everything from filter and coffee is internal and the outside material is some sort of heavy weight mylar material. Neat system.

Thanks a lot for the comparison of Arcteryx leaf Khard 30 and Assault 30 (new). I've got a K45 (crocodile) and K30 (black). Would like to get a Assault 30 (multicam) after watching your video. IMO, Arcteryx and Arcteryx leaf design and produce the best of the best backpack in the world.

The load bearing straps are on the top over each shoulder. You were referring to compression straps.

Arcteryx is amazing....its NOT a "Gucci" prod like patahomo. Arcteryx is pure quality, style and durability.

On the older pack, it looks like the stays are in backwards so they go out instead of in to meet your lower back. Am I mis-seeing?

Bryan, when is ITS gonna combine the best of the TAD EDC, Arcteryx Khard and Mystery Ranch 3DAP packs into the ITS Super EDC/3 day pack? Low visibility, plenty of organization and just tacticool enough for those that need it. Whatcha say?

Just bought the Assault 30! Quite excited...
Does it still have the zipper in the inside top section? Cheers, nice comparison.
Also how would you get attaching things to the bottom?

Mark F check out the large (47L vs 45L) Gregory Serrac pack. Originally built as a pack for multi pitch climbs it has ones of the best and most nimble suspensions I've seen while having a half clamshell zipper that runs the length of the pack

Arcteryx wants to be a social warrior company in the state of Utah.
I will no longer support them and the other members of the Outdoor Retailer group who believe they are more important than the citizens of Utah. There are plenty other good gear producers that don't shove their politics down your throat while overcharging you.

I must say, they *may* have good quality, but it is out of my price range. $300+ for a jacket...I just cannot get the wife-unit on board with that.

Outdoor Research is a good alternative to Arc'teryx. Much more affordable while still producing quality gear.
