SUPER timely as one of the biggest take aways from Muster was how badly I was ready for any simple medical emergency in my cars. House is good, but cars and on the go definitely not!

Thanks! I am the medic for a Fight Foot Militia squad and it is good to see how others set up there kit. Thanks for sharing, I got some good Ideas from you. I use an Ares Armor Combat XII Medic pack. I love it, but it is almost too big some times.

Thanks for sharing. I love the TSSi M9. It's what we've trained countless hours with. I like that you have airway adjuncts, but I was wondering why not also carry a micro or pocket bvm if you're planning to treat airway and respirations? Another consideration would be circulation and fluid resuscitation? Maybe a bag of NS/Plasmalyte or LR with a few 18ga cats and a 15 drip admin set. Pretty light. I think it would be a good idea on your hikes with the scouts to consider fluids. Just a few thoughts from a fellow. Look forward to hearing from you! Thanks for all you do, keep up the good work!
I've been keeping my battery's in an Altoid tin ( taped on the inside )but these are great.

Great video! I followed your guideline to set up my M9 bag. Have you thought of including Aspirin (a platelet aggregation) which could be useful for someone who is having an MI? Along with acetaminophen, which is a direct acting antipyretic agent compared to ibuprofen?
Not that you're asking for advice, but it could be beneficial to add 81mg chewable aspirin to your medications pocket. It is a first line recommendation for adult cardiac related chest pains and is proven to be a lifesaver in those having heart attacks. Heart disease is still leading cause of death in US. awesome video. thanks for the work you guys put in!
BurnJel works amazingly!! Ive used them more than once working in restaurants. The most recent time I had boiling water fall onto my shoe, completely soaking through, and I mean atleast a half gallon or so soaked into my shoe and I spun around in circles cursing, trying to rip off my shoe ( Lol ) and once I got it off and the sock, my first was completely red and swelling. It was horrible, in amatter of a minute the top and sides of my foot were bubbling and swollen and the burn jel dressing was a absolute god send! I carry multiple inside of my backpack and even have a bunch of the little packets of Burn Jel gel for small cooking burns or what not.

triple aught design makes the battery case that you couldn't think of. I know I may very well be "a day late, and a dollar short" but no harm in trying.

well just the ends touching each other does not cause them to drain. There has to be complete circuit-basic electrical concept.Also, hard to believe not carrying anti-diarrheal in your meds. Another thing you might consider for irrigation is carry little salt and ziplock. you can make your own saline and snip corner or just mix in the bag and use your syringe. I have a similar set up using Condor Pack insert. I love the cohesive tape and carry very little medical tape. Also carry the Tegaderm, butterfly, and superglue
how did you get the epi pen as i know most doctors wont write a prescription for it unless you actually need it.
Actually, you probably didn't remove the triglides. I also had to order them separately so I guess they just don't come with the bag, don't know why. And that was after dumpsterdiving for the packing of the M9 to see if I had thrown away the package with the triglides in them.

Where can you get the M9 Assault Medical Bag? I am from Canada and can't find a place that sells, or sells at a good price. I am looking for the Ranger Green or OD colour and don't need it filled, I would prefer the bag and the mesh pouches inside. Thanks again!

Does Gauze actually expire? If so, how exactly?
sterile gauze has an expiration date. regular gauze, no
Sterile gauze has a date that it can guarantee sterility (important for preventing infections and stuff), but if your buddy's bleeding out, realistically you're going to worry about stopping bleeding first. after effects are basically the sniffles, fever, or worst case infection that need antibiotics.
There’s sterile and then there’s clean. If you’re packing a wound, clean is just fine.
God I WISH more people would gear their preparedness on medical. God forbid we ever go WORL, i feel most people forget things come BACK at you, unlike targeting paper.
THAT said, he covered due dates and the likes. while this is GREAT for near unlimited budget, the stuff isnt cheap, i generally speaking go by due dates only for my IV bags and meds. otherwise any military medical consumables are gamma radiated before packaging and are sterile so long as thier packages arent comprised. For anyone looking to get into medical, TAKE a TCCC course or CLS, do not just think youll know how to use these items because they have instructions.
