    Awesome!! Yes, I have mine on pre order . Mr Mofo motors V2 are awesome!! Furthermore i have 3 of the Holmes Hobbies 380, had one of them on my Tioga and broke the input shaft and installed a second and one of the wires killed the motor. Mr Holmes replaced them both with no questions asked on both he replaced the motor shaft added a collet to both. Have not had an issue since. So far so good with these fellas and their products. Can't wait till I try these new micro komotos. Thx Matt once again Sir for your test and tune vids. Rock on 🤘🏻🤘🏻

    I noticed you got the komodo to be rear facing. I just figured out how to accomplish that yesterday by turning the trans plate 180° so I don't have to mess with my electronics. The plate doesn't exactly fit the outer screws, but with a little finesse I got it to go in

    Brushless works! Kinda pompous statement to make but I have tried both formats and this is my opinion. I run a MOFO RC Nano-beast 2.0, mounted in stock position (MOFO motor mount). Performance is exemplary!, Space for electronics, voluminous I assume the Furitek performance is equal at least.

    Hey Matt. I really do love your content your always on top of the game. I have a quick question I bought a micro komodo and a plate. What gear (pinion) size do I need to get to fit the stock spur (scx24). And the motor mount screws they gave me are super short when you need longer ones for the thickness of the aluminum plate. Any idea where I would pick up the size/length of screw to mount the motor? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

      Yeah I agree with that. Just like my new Gladiator. With the new esc being a little smoother and silent, I don’t plan to go brushless in it just because there’s no reason to replace esc and everything. A good brushed motor will be great in it.

    I've seen videos of your putting the micro komodo o a TRX4M if I remember correctly and I just did that, on my scx24 it ran fine, put it on my TRX4M and it slow crawls, all electronics from scx24 are being used on TRX4M but when I pull the trigger to go anymore than crawl then it goggs and won't go, anything other than slow it goggs, getting hot really fast as well and the throttle is reversed. I have no throttle reverse on the remote so I didn't change it. Any ideas. Thanks

    I too am interested in wheel speed. I’m thinking of picking up a gladiator to actually walk and go on trails with, and it’ll need some speed to keep up with a walking pace and not burn out. That said - do you have any recommendations for pure speed? Any motor/spur/pinion/overdrive worm gear in mind?

    • @2fmrc

      I honestly plan to probably throw an ox motor in my Gladiator. The stock esc in that thing is so smooth that I just don’t see the point in going brushless with it. I may go with the treal 23% overdrive in the front and 14% rear to gain a little more speed. You could probably also go with a 3s batt in it if that’s not enough. I haven’t tried 3s on the new esc yet but I always ran it on the old ones so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work lol.

    • @grandehombre09
      @grandehombre09 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@2fmrc appreciate your thoughts. Have you played with a mofo RC buzzsaw motor before? Looks like it could be 90-180% faster with minimal adjustments. I have a few ox motors laying around but that buzzsaw may be what I need to launch these little cars, ha.

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@grandehombre09 I have a couple buzzsaws here but I installed one in my monster truck build and it didn’t seem to have much for some reason. Maybe I was expecting too much from it in that build I don’t know. Then I was also told not to run 3s on it so I pulled it and tossed it in the bin. I may toss one in my gladiator (gotta change that motor anyway) and see how it does under normal circumstances.

    • @8wayrc
      @8wayrc 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For pure speed, the PN90 with the Mofo big block motor mount and a 24t mod3 pinion is really fast. It doesn't have any low end torque, but it has plenty of wheel speed. It's a lot of fun, but I'm going to experiment with different gears until I get the torque I'm looking for. Hopefully I'll still have enough wheel speed for rock bouncing.

    How slow it goes is cute and all the rage. However, if you actually crawl, it doesn't mean shit.

      This comment is cute 😆 If you actually crawl hard stuff it does imo. That super slow crawl is great when barely hanging on to a lip of a cliff and need to make a small adjustment. How can that not be helpful? It’s not necessary because you can be almost as smooth with a brushed motor but it’s nice to have. With the torque & wheel speed now being almost on par with the brushed motors I’m not sure what’s to hate? It’s all based on what ya like so whatever floats your boat!

      @@dirtrider88 I crawl every week and compete every other week. I definitely have a clue. It's important to have control but nobody crawls that slow because every run has a time limit!
