I'm not really sure how else to reach out to Sal, but my deepest condolences on the loss of a good friend of yours man. Benny was a great man and a wonderful entertainer and he will be deeply missed.
Loved this story. Twisting "The End" idea to be a happy ending is so perfecty Fantastic Four, and Doom leading the annihilation wave is so obvious, yet so damn awesome XD
@@hahajenkins honestly just Patreon where I get most back issues a week early that’s all. Tried to think of something clever, but the truth is all I got.
Valaria is actually a great character and her using magic makes sense. She's Doom's goddaughter due to the convoluted circumstances of her birth that almost killed Sue, and canonically she regularly visits Latveria or has video-calls with Doom. Their relationship is really kind of wholesome.
I really did like Fantastic Four The end, it was a good read that wasn’t your typical ‘everything is at the end so everyone must be miserable!’ This one is just a big fun sci fi read of everyone being a future badass. Also Thing has a bunch of InHuman kids. Because Alice is now a super powered InHuman maxi powerful super woman. So ya know… Ben eating good.
"So yeah, after the mutant genocide and setting the right people as second-class ctizens, Utopia got under way!" It's like that HG Wells book about a perfect future...in which all Irish people are 'gone' due to being too much trouble.
As an FF fan I actually hadn't read this and I plan on buying it after this video. Really liked how you told this story. Again you guys are doing more and more Fantastic Four and I really appreciate it.
Love u guys Sal! Salute Benny! I hope u guys have it in you to continue absolute in some form. It will never be the same and will truly cherish all the moments with just a handful of us in the stream talking comics.
@@dedbatt8869 I think that for an overall good sense of who the characters are and what their stories are like, I would go with Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo's FF. The stories are very fun and accessible and the character dynamics are good representations of the FF. And then if you're looking for headier dense sci fi, than you could read Hickman's run. Plus Alex Ross' Fantastic Four: Full Circle is a gorgeous done in one hardcover that's a great take on the more old school Fantastic Four of Stan Lee and Jack kirby with a modern twist. It's probably the easiest (and most affordable) of these recommendations to find.
If you don't care for the heroes but those guys help you enjoy it 😂 I seriously don't care for the F4s 🤷🏾♂️ But these guys... Now I know more about this family than I ever wanted 😅 We need to make this channel bigger. Sooooo many Ccs that do not deserve the amount of subscribers they got. This is quality comic comedy 👌🏾💯👍🏾 Love from Germany ❤
Comicstorian Ben Potter passed away on June 8th in a accident. Prayers and thoughts go out to his wife, family and friends. We lost an icon in the comic book and geek community, he'll be forever missed and remembered for his love for comics and his voice. RIP.
ComicPop and And FF story Two of my favorite, and often criminally underappreciated forms of entertainment are together again. Love it. This has really brightened my day!
Another thing that is never addressed on this comic is that Namor i Half Mutant, unless there's a change to his origin in this universe and also what happened to ALL of the x-men villains because they have villains that are and are not mutants. This comic i really good and it deserves a continuation with the avengers.
This book shares the same dope as ending as The One, and now I wanna see a story of doom going across the muktiverse to kill all his counterparts because the council of Reed's is stupid
6:55 my assumption is that droids were commonly used in previous wars, but everyone in the universe all realized “hey is it messed up we are using a cloned person as soldiers?” And so they always just went “oh yeah the war where we used clones”
It would kind of make sense that the Methuselah Drug wouldn't impair growing up but it would halt growing old, since these are two different mechanisms of the body. A child going through puberty and developing into an adult is a function of of hormones and the body, while aging is more a matter of your body breaking down.
I feel like Ethan is on a roll with exactly predicting the ending of the last few books. After years of exposure, he's finally been brain-poisoned by comics!
In Paul Jenkins's and Jae Lee's Inhumans run, the city of Attilan is discovered and the Inhumans are subsequently hated and feared from then on. In another episode of Back Issues, the one on the Mutant Massacre, Sal mentions that people in the Marvel Universe are simply haters. They hate everyone. Mutants, Inhumans, Avengers, literally anyone with powers.
Ooohhh ive have been awaiting this stories turn on the Comicpop couch! I picked it up based on my utter fascination with "The End" imprint. This story was and is still nutty. But i love it! 😂
I think it was first covered back in 1991 in What If? #29 "What If Captain America Formed The Avengers?" that yes, Logan can become a Sasquatch and in fact can control it if afflicted with the curse. Saying that, it is a What If? so take it with a grain of salt.
All this talk about terraforming the solar system reminds of the 90’s cartoon Exosquad. Y’all ever see that show? If no, check it out and treat yourself to a cartoon marketed for kids but with surprisingly mature story lines.
It would be quite funny if Reed assumes wolverine has been wendigoed. But after they restrain him, Logan reveals he’s just gone grey and is too lazy to shave
While I love this show I should really stop watching because I always end up picking up the graphic novel. My home is becoming more library than anything else. lol
I know it's a tanget y'all went on but i'm pretty sure that the clone wars was ment to be what the common citizen called the conflict and it just kinda stuck like the actual name of the war in offical documents in the empire is probably something like the republic sepretist conflict but to the common citizen and most on the front line probably just adopted the name clone wars I know yoda calls them the clone wars in part 2 but i could totally see that being how the name of the conflict spread was people talking about yoda calling them that
Interesting note; The depiction of anti-aging in the comic isn't that far off from how it would likely work with kids still aging, but adults stopping. There's actually several different mechanisms of aging, the two primary of which are: Development (induced by hormones) and genetic degradation (induced by accumulated splicing errors in the genome). Removing the genetic degradation of old age would not necessarily have any effect on development. And in fact, repairing splicing errors in the genome can actually appear to reverse aging, allowing older things to appear younger as the tissue damaged by the degradation regenerates using the repaired genome as a model (this has been done in human cell culture)
Buy Fantastic Four: The End! amzn.to/452Krhd
Every time you guys go off on a huge tangent and then Sal hits everyone with the "Anyway," it cracks me up. Clone War tangent is an alltimer

Kang, sitting in his chair, collecting dust, waiting for his invite to this story
Mole Man, gloating outside noises
The fact thhat he is just not in it is really funny.
Can you guys do "Do a powerbomb"? That comic book deserves more praise.
Always wanted to see Doom lose his armor and then kill Annihilus with magic and chutzpah and then use Annihilus’ bug exoskeleton face as a mask
Dame thats cool
I like to think the Mutant War was kicked off by Norman Osborn not backing down to Cyclops during Dark Reign
Galactus, the Kree and Skrulls were bullying me again, can you fix it?
Sounds like a job for Cool Cat.

The closest thing to an “Avengers: The End” was a recent story that i hope they cover called “Avengers: Twilight” beautiful story.
Somewhere, Alan Moore makes angry noises.
Sal actually covered that series on their podcast, The Weekly Pull, and enjoyed it, so I’d say it’s very likely they’ll cover it.

No. It's been unlisted and available on Patreon since Monday. He just made it public today. Which is literally a few buttons on TH-cam Studio.

Wanda: No more Mutants. And I mean it in the most literal sense.
So Lee - Dark, Morrison - Odd and Dark, and Alan Davis - Dark but healthily working through said darkness while accepting it.

Knowing Logan he'd probably take the Wendigo curse so that Kitty it jubilee or Even X-23 wouldn't suffer with it.... That would be my theory at least
