    Your videos are awesome. I purchased all your last number marquee number templates but we were super intimidated. The ones with the angles and measurements are going to be so much easier to follow.... we will have to purchase those templates instead... I love your videos and so funny the 7 was backwards, we mess up stuff all the time, and love that you keep this in your videos.. Thanks for your tips and tricks.

    Hey man been watching a lot of your builds over the last year. My wife is starting her own rental business and I love to woodwork. Thanks for the inspiration and keep doing your thing. Do you have a package where you can buy the plans to all letters and numbers instead of individually?

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thank you so much glad my videos have helped. And I am sorry right now I am only able to group the Letters and the Numbers together due to the size of the files. I actually barely was able to fit all the files for the Alphabet together to fit into the Etsy download program. Since I include the PDF plans, svg, dxf, PDF printer friendly stencils for each letter. It takes up so much space and if I add any more it will not fit into the Etsy platform that holds the files and sends them to you when you purchase instantly. I would have to move everything offsite to a gmail and have people go there to download the files and I know that would be difficult for some and end up not being able to download the files easily. So for now they have to be separated as it is easier for me and people who purchase the plans for instant download. I hope this makes sense and good luck on your family's future business!!

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the circular saw will be possible to create the angles and straight cuts. A jig saw is recommended for the letter cutouts? Not sure what tool has the vertical string? But if you are making a lot of letters the miter saw is a great tool for the angles. Hope this helps and if you have any questions please let me know or you can message the Etsy store. Thank you

  • @MsAyaoba
    @MsAyaoba 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Hey there! So overall for these projects, do you recommend a miter saw, circular saw, and a jigsaw? I noticed that you mentioned a miter saw but then started using a circular saw with the jig. Sorry I’m new to this and I’m trying to figure out what to buy in order to make Marquee letters and some backdrop designs. Would you recommend all three? I would ideally like to buy 1-2 things that will cover almost all bases 😭

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, I use different options and it really just depends on your budget. I will tell you all three will make it easier on you to make it. But you can do the whole build with a jigsaw and circular saw. Because the circular saw has the bottom plate that can be angled to cut the angles as well. I also believe most jigsaws have the option to cut at an angle as well. As you can do a lot with only a jigsaw and a circular saw. Most of my builds are built around those two builds. But for marquees and cutting the angles a miter saw is 100% easier than adjusting a circular saw each time. So if you were making more than one marquee the miter saw will definitely show the difference. especially if you are new to woodworking, the miter saw helps get clean straight cuts. The circular saw and jigsaw take some practice to cut straight. So if I had to pick two it would either be a circular saw and jigsaw, or jigsaw and miter saw. I hope that makes sense and good luck! Thanks for the support!

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The one I did was 1/2 inch by 4 inch wide. But you can change it to which ever you prefer. I have made them 6 inch wide before. But prefer the 4 inch for weight. I do make the bottom longer in the back to put some weight for outdoors. Good luck!

    Hi, I purchased the templates for the 4ft numbers. We were wondering what did you use to make the holes for the lights. So far, we have used 1 1/4 inch hole saws to make the holes and they are too big. Please help! Thanks...☺

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thank you for your support. Sorry for the late reply. If you message the Etsy store I usually reply right back. I check TH-cam every couple of days. But to answer your question, I left it open to your preference. Meaning there are so many different options for lighting and I didn't want to say use mine. You can order from Amazon Christmas lights, go to Walmart, Home Depot, etc. to get your lights. Then the route you choose to make the hole sizes is depending on the light style you chose as they are all different. But if you go to this video linked below at the 8 min 33 second mark I discuss how to find the size for the light bulbs you have. th-cam.com/video/lvK22KldVRY/w-d-xo.html I can tell you that if you made some bigger than expected it is ok as long as you use a basic hand held staple gun to secure the wire before and after the bulb it will hold it in place easily. I never use to and just relied on the snug fit. But after using the staple gun it makes it so much easier and holds the bulb up straight so much better. Also I made a second video showing how to create your own lights and both these videos should have some great info to help. th-cam.com/video/HQxca0VqOAs/w-d-xo.html But if you have any additional questions just message the Etsy account and I can help the best I can. Thank you and good luck!
