The Amnesty 245(i) provision expired on April 30, 2001, so it is no longer available for individuals to apply for. How was this form of relief accepted?

I came to the usa in 1998 ,my husband is a citizen, he did the petition for me since de beginning of 2021,I m from mexico and I crossed illegal that's why I'm facing deportacion and the 5,10 yrs bar ,but my husband apply for the waiver ,since July 2021 we received the notification for my fingerprints screening, so far after 1 1/ 2 yr waiting for the answear if my waiver was approved. Is really difficult because the immigration laws are harsh when someone crossed illegal ,don't understand how people from other countries crossed illegal too and say : I want assylum/ refugee and the cbp ,usa immigration let them in and gives them parole or assylum status, after all they didn't do nothing differently than what I did 🤔 yrs ago ,and adding that my husband is a usa citizen 🤷♂️🤷♀️
What if he came legally like on a travel visa? That would give him legal entry which would make the path to permanent residency a lot easier. I hope you get a response on your case soon!
Yes ,if the person came with a visa ,even if stay illegal after their visa expired ,they don't face the deportacion or the 5 ,10 yrs bar ( not allowed to enter the usa)
That makes no sense if your spouse filled for you why would you be facing deportation? That's wrong people file for spouses outside the country all the time so why is it different once you're in the country. I hope everything works out and you get your permanent residency with no more issues
My childhood lawyer was disbarred because he was gambling with money people gave him to file their cases. He didn't file my family's paperwork in time and we had to give him $6000 twice cause he said he lost the first amount. Still, immigration wouldn't listen to our appeal. Just been 23yrs of hell
As an immigrant who is still waiting for an interview for almost 4 years, my heart was broken today. There was a young lady who was supposed to have her interview today at the Cincinnati field office but she accidentally came to Dayton City Hall not knowing that her field office is an hour away. This young lady was prepared and was so ready to tackle the interview. Unfortunately she didn’t follow the directions on her notice and missed her interview. I’ve helped her contact USCIS and she was told that her interview may or may not be rescheduled. Worse case scenario, she would have to file again. I gave her my business card and informed to reach out if she is having any difficulties reschedule. What would be your advice regarding that particular case? Thanks? Also, for those of you who receive paperwork from USCIS, please double check all information. It’s very important!

GC thru 245i approved but after naturalization the n400 denied due to past GC denials before 245i. Now I’m filing for N366 to appeal. Can you share with your thoughts. Thanks
How do you came to the usa?? I came from mexico in 1998 my big ignorant mistake is I crossed illegal ,I'm from mexico ,I'm married to a usa born citizen and 2 usa citizen children but that's why my case is difficult because I crossed illegal and I posible face deportation ,after Obama gave the waiver for some people who might qualify wait inside the usa for an answear for the visa , I decide to take the chance,to apply for changing my status is 24 yrs waiting for an immigration reform and every year I'm more convince that never is gonna happen ,so I'm taking the risk ,now.
I read in some immigration part that if you enter the usa before 1997 ,you can become legal if your usa citizen child or your citizen spouse petition for you,different than me b3cause I crossed in 1998 after the law was signed of the 5 and 10 yrs punishment outside the usa ,I believe the law was signed in 1997 ,you should consult with a lawyer ,good luck

She artived here in USA last 2002 under the Fisnce Visa, unfortunatly the guy who applied for her declined to marry her ang decided to marry the other woman. One Immigration Lawyer told het to stay. Now she stayed here for 22 yrs without the status she lived with her biy friend for 20 yrs not married yet for the reason still impossible to get her a legal status. Any help for her she need someone who can advice her what to do. Thanks snd waiting for your reply ASAP.

Hi, mam Mcbean Im here in saipan since 2002 but i didnt go vacation ..until this year ..My employer told me she process my paper in online she just ask only 2/2 picture .. my employer work in hawai only december we see her coz she vacation..in 2017 i ask her my reciept of coz i need it to renew my driver license ..she said notyet ..she go back again to hawaii..only her mother was manage her busines her in saipan in 2019 i ask her agian about our paper CW . covid come ..lock down no work ..we close mostly our customer is govt employee we sell food ..like lunch ,sanwich.soup..and pearl shake..Im a cook ..until now close ..im out of status..i work only partime.. i have ambrella pirmit . i have all my permit reciept
