my landlord has a Subaru Forester with over 250,000 miles on it which is why i bought a 2024 Subaru crosstek and i am very pleased with it at least for the 500 kms I've put on it.
@Physics_Dude The white looked really good in person. I also liked the orange in the sun but I have a new orange 4runner TRD Pro and the wife said only one orange vehicle at a time.
@flippino35 don't need it down here in Florida. This thing will be perfect on our sandy soil logging trails. Getting my CTW in January. Just decided to wait 2 months for the 2025.
I love the look of these cars but that cvt is just not my jam. I test drove one with the 2.5L and I could immediately tell I would be frustrated with this vehicle. It doesn't have the power when you need it. Great review guys!
Actually if you select the sport mode, the car is really quick in 5-10 mph bursts. I'm here in Vegas and people drive crazy. It keeps up and then some if you learn how to drive it right.
I just pop it into sport mode to get on the freeway or to get around people and it does it no problem. Is it my turbo'd volvo? No. Will it merge with traffic at 75mph on California raceways, excuse me, freeways? Yes. I don't have an issue with it, its way better than the Gen 1 Crosstrek.
I prefer the naturally aspirated engines, as it meets all my requirements, turbo will add to future maintenance costs, hybrid is a better option than turbo. imo.
Potentially great vehicle, but they just skipped out on a few too many features for its significantly higher than the last couple years price. no heated steering wheel, manual gauges, slow outdated infotainment, no front/360 camera, the list goes on :(
"Naturally aspirated" refers to the air going into your engine and it means it comes in naturally with nothing forcing the air such as a turbo or a supercharger. "Direct injection" refers to the gasoline. It means the gasoline is injected directly into the cylinder. This Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness is direct injected (gasoline), and naturally aspirated (oxygen/air). I hope this helps.
Never had that issue on any of my Subies, were about to upgrade our Crosstrek Sport to a Wilderness. I’ve only heard of it happening with Tuners that track, and people that don’t keep up with oil changes or check their oil regularly.
Special thanks to our Patreons for their support of the channel! Crosstrek or Bronco Sport?

I just bought this 2024 Subaru Wilderness, and I am mighty impressed! Totally love it! Plus it looks really cool in alpine green 🤩
Just snagged me an alpine green wilderness. 2nd Crosstrek and best daily driver ever
@@brandocommando6593 Awesome! A freaking beauty that alpine green! I get stares all the time 🥰
@@brandocommando6593 - I'm leaning towards the Wilderness white (pulling the trigger tomorrow?). Maybe I need to get a Stormtrooper helmet too!

@@Physics_Dude Did you say white?! Oh la la, that's my other choice 🤩
Perhaps a special rally version with a turbo would be cool.
This review means a lot in parts of the world with no snow!
Fun little dad mobile to be honest, got the '24 wilderness in silver for my dad mobile.
No heated steering wheel in the "Wilderness"? Whose idea was that?
subaru of america apperantly
cuz canada has them on theirs

I love my 24 wilderness Trek but a Turbo please
You have to use S mode to get passing power, but in higher RPM
Even its cladding has cladding. Ditch the yellow parts.
I bought a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek limited I live in New York no heated steering wheel why
in canada they come with a heated steering wheel
Can a crosstreck be ordered with a turbo from the factory
Not any more no
We bought a new Crosstrek in 2015 and it has been great. This will replace it.
think im going limited instead would rather the mpg and cheaper tires than waiting these tires on pavement 90% of the time.
try 49000 in Canada
Almost too good looking?
Good looking yet sporty. In short, not pretentious!

@@robromej haha I am a dumb ass, thank you. Got it mixed up with the turbo engines, my mistake!
Until the upper oil pan gasket goes out and they need to pull the engine to fix it. These Subaru's are notorious for oil leaks 🙄
False. That was last generation. Keep up with the times. 🤷♂️🤦♂️

They messed up putting the CVT in it. Go back to the normal speed auto.
overheat cvt😂😂😂
The wilderness has a beefed up cooling system for the CVT, that's why the tow capacity is so much higher than the regular models.
