The performance strikes just the right balance between too little and too much ornamentation. I also liked the elastic quality: faithful, but not slavishly so, to the notated rhythms and meter. Nice simpatico orchestra. J's singing is stunning and his interpretation interestingly conceived and nuanced. But where is the continuo harmony in the section that begins at 1:33? Shouldn't sound like a two-part duet between voice and bass instruments! Tsk Tsk!
