No, The 1975 isn't your average indie rock/alternative band. There's something else in the music they make. They've got songs that make goosebumps spiral down your spine, or songs that make you remember past events that have somehow never occurred. They have a sly hint of pop hidden in their music, just my opinion. Each band has its own style, and this is theirs. They have multiple songs that make the listeners cry. Some people relate to their music, and some don't. But listening to The 1975 makes you feel a certain way. That's their talent. Some people are born with great vocals but can't express emotions while singing. But this band, it's capable of doing that. Which just makes them fifty times more amazing than they already are.
100% the most underrated The 1975 song. The groove, the bass run, the high-hat use and the minimalist guitar are pure 80s and the saxophone in the breakdown absolutely tops it. Perfection. x

A friend showed me the band when Chocolate first released and i couldn't understand what they were saying, even though i liked the sound of the song i just never got into them. Then i heard Girls on Palladia and fell in love with them. This song just makes me feel so good.
