Their song "Heart Out" fades into this song, and this song, "Settle Down", fades into "Robbers", if you play them IMMEDIATELY after each other. so awesome
A soft sound To the way she wears her hair down Covering up her face Oh what a let down I don't seem to be having any effect now Falling all over the place But you're losing your words We're speaking in bodies Avoiding me and talking 'bout you But you're losing your turn I guess I'll never learn Cause I stay another hour or two For crying out loud, settle down! You know I can't be found with you We get back to my house Your arms, my mouth Now I just stop myself around you A small town Dictating all the people we get around What a familiar face Do you get what I mean now? I'm so fixated on the girl with the soft sound And hair all over the place But you're sure that I'd learn I'm pushing through bodies Avoiding me and walking around you But you're cold and I burn I guess I'll never learn Cause I stay another hour or two For crying out loud, settle down! You know I can't be found with you We get back to my house Your arms, my mouth Now I just stop myself around you A soft sound To the way she wears her hair down Covering up her face Oh what a let down, I don't seem to be having any effect now Falling all over the place But you're losing your words We're speaking in bodies Avoiding me and talking 'bout you But you're losing your turn I guess I'll never learn Cause I stay another hour or two For crying out loud, settle down! You know I can't be found with you We get back to my house Your arms, my mouth Now I just stop myself around you For crying out loud
I literally heard this at the mall two years ago. I remember it, and I remember loving it, and I still do. It's such a relaxing and nostalgic song. I need more music like this!
This is chill af. I love this band so much. makes me so happy because it's kinda nostalgic. I remember I would listen to chocolate to coat the pain of my granny having cancer because it was such a fun song. I was losing friends as well so I just listened to it. now I'm here today loving their sound and everything is great.
@@jasminesynclair4269 thanks for this. I forgot I commented something like this. It's crazy to think that 4 years have past since then. Life has hit me harder if I'm honest but I'm taking the time to learn from it. I appreciate your kind words and the little reminder that I've moved forward with life. I still love these songs and all bring me to different times and places. I'm just glad you reminded me of this. Have a wonderful day. Thank you.
I instantly fell in love with this track upon the intro of that guitar. So amazing. This will definitely be in my playlists for the upcoming season. I need some refreshing tracks to get me through school. This is it. 🎶😍🎶👍
I didn't come here because of "Lauren" I came here because I saw them performing one day before all the fame and remembered their name...nice to see how far they've come. Love you guys!!! Ugh
This song has gotten me over so many break-up it's unbelievable. Matts voice is so amazing and i love the whole bands grooviness provided in this song so much, well done x.
It's 2am and I'm still listening remembering back in 2012 when I first started loving this band and when we drove through Arizona and utah and Nevada to California. Good days 👌💯
*If Third Eye Blind were British. 3EB are American. I was saying if 3EB were British, The 1975 would sound a lot like Third Eye Blind's "Blue" album...FWIW.
They have everything I love about music in each of their songs, a classic 80's top 40 rhythm, with late 90's big shiny tunes vocals that make a suitable soundtrack to your life, with bass and drum synchronization that has been missing in music since the late 80's fusion and R&B. These guys are truly beyond their years creatively, huge hopes for these guys in the future
I listen to this song every day it is the most brilliant song ever it's my high! In the car at home at school whenever I get the chance it makes me so happy.

I love it. I really do, but I listened to the Young Ruffian remix first and it got me hooked, now I can't adjust to this more upbeat original version. The remix is like a drug, it takes me places and feels super existential, they just took a really great song to an otherworldly place.
I saw them live like 2 months ago, wow, wow, wow. They were at Lowlands festival in the Netherlands, and i kinda only knew Chocolate. But wow, they were just amazing. Great instrumentals, great voice(even live), and great songs. Definitely wanna see them again some day!
I saw you guys when you supported Muse at the Emirates and you blew me away. Thank you so much for uploading these, going to definitely get the album. See you in Glasgow!
It’s so nostalgic I can’t even describe it. Maybe it’s just me but it brings back some really good memories. And every part of it sounds so good too. Love it.
this is the kind of song you want to listen in the night, with a dumb smile on your face, just because it makes you happy
it's 3:50 am and that's exactly what I'm doing
its 2:40 am and that's what im doing too omg
That's what I do so often omg
Nice
hehe

ivan bernardo almost all albums used to be like this, this is albums should be
@@liampoole4059 Kings of Leon's WALLS did it too.
Reuben Sinclair Marianas Trench also did this on their album Ever After.

Panic does it
This song reminds me of memories that I have yet to live
omg awesome!
this whole band makes me think of shit I havent done yet. Like, when I listen to it, I feel like I'm going to need this in a couple of years.

+GoGreenGo and to my ears
GoGreenGo tru
GoGreenGo u righttt
they were, but after the first album their music kinda faded away, to much chocolate I guess.
That's way out
So many of their songs give me the vibe of a group of rebel teenagers in a small town getting themselves into trouble constantly. Fantastic music
matty did admit on an interview that their band started with the concept of teenage angst
Same concept as generation why by Conan Gray? Love it
man i love their style i love artists who have an old school feel to their music and they for sure do i mean the name of the band explains it as well
Agreed
Well, this is weird.
+Jordan Ricks wow we share the same name lol
Listen to jsmn then.....
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate the inclusion of slap bass in some modern music.
Matt Ashwel YAAAASSSS

True! this song makes me happy and bright. What other artist do u like // jessica // ?

The song is depressing as fuck, so how does that make you happy? It's a bittersweet song about an ill relationship that tries to make it work.
This song makes me feel fearless when I listen to it.

this song makes me feel some typa way its indescribable
This song got me hooked on these blokes 5 years ago...I'm 30 years old now and will ALWAYS throw down for The 1975!!!!
Matty is the only singer that can pull of that british accent while singing in my opinion :)
You should listen to Bloc Party
I have so much trouble understanding what he is saying
ummm John Lennon?
this is a very dumb comment
Morrissey says hi.
this is totally the band to listen to when you smoke weed. Perfect amount of chill and rhythm

I instantly fell in love with this track upon the intro of that guitar. So amazing. This will definitely be in my playlists for the upcoming season. I need some refreshing tracks to get me through school. This is it. 🎶😍🎶👍
can we all stop saying they sound like another band or singer bcos they're the 1975 and they're amazing. now let that be the end of it :))
you should let people speak their minds, whether you like it or not.
Maxime Oliver so people can speak their minds but I can't ?? lol ok
sprinkleofsam you obviously can but if speaking your mind mean telling others they can't. then no you can't speak your mind lol
Maxime Oliver but you just told me I can't speak my mind so ??? this comment was 2 years ago do u wanna move along ? Lmao
sprinkleofsam no we cannot move on
It's amazing how they can make their music sound so much like the 80s. I'm speechless. ❤️
This brings so many memories😢 it's so good to be young again
I didn't come here because of "Lauren" I came here because I saw them performing one day before all the fame and remembered their name...nice to see how far they've come. Love you guys!!! Ugh

The little “ hey “ at 2:14 makes me dumb smile every time
such a fresh sound, love em
So much love for this band.
Their sound reminds me of a combination of Prince, M83, and Third Eye Blind (if they British, perhaps?). Really like their sound a lot.
To me it sounds similar to Tap Out-The Strokes..Probably cause of the guitar delay effect..??
Is it just me but do they sort of sound like Chvrches but not really?
they are british :)
*If Third Eye Blind were British. 3EB are American. I was saying if 3EB were British, The 1975 would sound a lot like Third Eye Blind's "Blue" album...FWIW.
Amanda Fdes Yeah, love Chvrches too!
so fucking groovy. incredibly impressed

This album will always be brilliant
Who knew a youtube commercial was worth watching (the vevo commercial bought me here)! Love it!😁
I love it. I really do, but I listened to the Young Ruffian remix first and it got me hooked, now I can't adjust to this more upbeat original version. The remix is like a drug, it takes me places and feels super existential, they just took a really great song to an otherworldly place.
I've been looking for this song heard it on the radio the other day and I love it!
The guitar reminds me of Adrian Belew so much, outstanding
Still loving this song SO MUCH. Good Memories 😍
