Nice set up and try adding a DC capacitor to smooth out the DC voltage and a longer crank arm to make it easier to turn it.
Correct me if im wrong but isnt this an AC motor so it should be outputing AC current?
@@awesomemcsumsface1416 your not wrong that is indeed a three phase AC generator/motor which he has connected to a three phase full bridge rectifier to convert the AC output to DC but it's not smooth so adding a DC capacitor to it it'll become a smooth DC voltage which will be better for charging electronic devices such as phones, tablets, laptops or anything that has a battery.

This is a very nicely made piece. I noticed turning the handle was a little difficult, making the handle longer would help but I think this would be great as a pedal powered device. Not strapping this to a bicycle but like one of they small pedal exercise devices meant to be used while sitting on a chair, I'd love to be able to sit and charge my phone while at my desk or watching TV.
Great work, only thought is maybe a flywheel on the generator end to help smooth the minute pulsing hand cranking induces.

Great vid and tut, looks like carefully and well made video with high quality prints and other high quality materials. IMO the handle radius is too close, pushing can made easier by increasing the size of the bar handle.
I am also thinking about such kind of generator however by using gravity with a cord and weight, similar way used at an old mechanical clock. This system can be mounted on a wall and can charge a battery or powerbank. To charge the battery you need to manually rewind the weight to the highest position. When released, it starts the charge process. There must be a limit for the weight to fall down like at a mechanical clock so you need special gears for this. This must be not too slow and powerful enough (enough weigth to handle resistance) because when the generator (motor) provides current to the battery, the generator has some 'mechanical' (flux) resistance.
It would be great the system can run for a few hours, more than enough to charge the battery to full capacity. This system only needs one preparation for a cycle, gravity (free) and some time to charge it (but this is a normal procedure when charging).
What do you think, is this possible?

Fake : if it was real, the leds whould slowly light up as you gain speed , also it whould have bean way harder to turn if it wasent he was using a battery

Also i realised a few more things that make this fake
The LEDs if they were powered by a real genarator like his whould have a very tiny flicker, i am not sure if you chould see it because very high frequency , 3 phase and the rectifier, but at startup it you should be able to see the small flicker when the frequency is low
If it was real the light output whould vary because it is very hard to have consistant crank
Also if you are interested in electronics i whould recomend a youtuber called electroBOOM, he is very funny yet educational
And 1 more thing i forgot is the vidio is very slow to maximise revenue from what i know
