Wrong!! Dallas played it well. The Broncos chose wrong and the Panthers chose wrong. Both have terrible seasons w/ terrible QBs. And neither took a QB when they should have.
The Eagles-Cowboys trade is one of the few trades that seems to work well for both sides. Eagles got their receiver and the cowboys got the guy they probably would’ve taken at 10.

To answer the question about trading within the division, this was a special case. NY & Philly were rivh behind Dallas & one of them was snatching D. Smith either way so it's not like that they "helped" a division rival in this case. Dallas would've had to deal with Smith either way.

It was smart to trade with the eagles. Devonta was going to either the eagles or the giants. The cowboys basically decided not to let the Giants have him and give him to the Eagles. The giants have a better offense then the eagles and getting Devonta would have made them the bigger threat then the eagles getting him.
That trade was a masterclass by both the Eagles and the Cowboys. They both got who they wanted and Dallas ended up with an extra 3rd rd, but had Dallas not traded with the Eagles, the Giants would have taken Devonta or if they proceeded to trade back with the Bears, the Eagles would have ended up with Devonta and Dallas not have the extra 3rd rd.

Here in December 2023 and Micah is 4 decent games away from a likely DPOY. He was 2nd to Bosa last year. He's by far the most schemed for and feared defensive player in the NFL with exception to MAYBE Myles Garrett.
