Well be fair, horses need somewhere to keep their carrots, polo mints, sugar lumps and bags of mix-n-munch horsey treats too, He just happened to take a fancy to that bag which would fit the bill nicely.

The Guards horses are called Q10 and Reaper, and the dark police horse is Putney at the start of the video. Q10 is the naughty horse that bit the kid's head I think. Thanks John for such interesting videos, never a boring moment with you. The 2nd horses are Tristan, the lady gets her bag caught on his reins, and the gorgeous Pretorian with an equally handsome Trooper.
I agree John makes it so interesting and informative. Was looking at some puzzles and recognized the buildings , the Clock Tower, the Bridges and ferris wheel. Thanks to you ❤

good video, John. also, a TH-camr I watch (besides you), said that the TH-cam channel told him that shorter videos do better (around 30 mins) b/c most people have shorter attention spans. i think i can believe that! your videos are so good b/c of your narration and humor and the pretty horses tho, that most of us that watch them can handle the longer time. also, i noticed that some of the TH-camrs, like the guy you were talking to, will take a piece of video when something is "bad" and sensationalize it in the title and it always turns out not that big a deal. i don't watch those anymore.

Hi John..... when you took us behind the scenes at the barracks, they introduced you to Harry/Atlas the huuuge horse. Do you remember what duties those horses do? They are magnificent.
Harry and Atlas are drum horses who appear at State Ceremonial occasions.

Ive noticed that latly the horses forlocks are alot longer than normal, maybe they have had the normal regulation lifted the same as the face hair on the troopers 😂😂
Tristian is beautiful,very inquisitive but Omg that poor woman with bag..i did feel sorry for her..she looked quite panicked, i was watching the Trooper and he was like wtf I ain't helping it's your bag 😂😂.
The police officers do need to start coming out front more as its getting quite silly with the amount of disrespectful people out there, even if stops people crowding so close to these Troopers.
That "posh lady we all waiting in treperdation of the hat going was probably on her way to the Kings Garden party.

Sadly I have no control over what TH-cam does with their ads, but that certainly sounds excessive!

Lovely video John. The situation with the bag could have been a real problem but handled well, and Tristan was in no way distressed throughout. In fact that horse has a real mischievous streak, all that nibbling! 😁

Hello John 😊. At 58.55 you missed a big time rein grab. Woman started on the left hand side of the horse, then moved, still hanging on to reins on left side, round front of horse to right hand side. Released left hand rein and promptly grabbed right hand rein 🤦🏼♀️😱😳

I'm originally from LONG ISLAND NY also. Moved to NC bc getting older and couldn't keep up the house. Sold it immediately. I lived in Shirley BY Smiths Point Beach. Lived there for over 30 yrs. There are times I do miss the ocean. I'm more by the mountains now

Been seeing several people there taking videos for TH-cam & seeing them pop up across my TH-cam feed. It's kinda funny because they follow you and the other regular people who have been there around. I think, my opinion only, they think they've found a quick easy way to make a little money. Why don't they come up with something original? They're just copying. I don't watch them, I stick with you, Buska and two other people who I found about a year ago who have been there. Everybody wants to jump on the bandwagon when they see something doing good.
I just stick with John, love the way he makes it interesting and aducate people all about horse and guard. And even shows us through Londen.

Hi John, thanks again for another lovely video. I was just thinking how stupid it was for the tourists close to the white line kneeling down on the first horse change. As the horse was kicking off just as he came out of the stables , I thought they would never get up in time if he decided just to run into them! A bit like the young kids yesterday where the father was not watching his kids!! Graham

A lady who lives in the village, bought a retired Dressage Horse a couple of weeks ago, he's almost 18 hh, built, a cross between Q10 and Tabor with a bit of Monty thrown in for luck - He's HUGE!!!

A lot of tourists have no experience with horses or perhaps even animals in general. All animals sometimes bite if you ignore them when they are after attention. They get annoyed at not getting the pat they are after or even the attention when they just want to be left alone. I bet there is some sort of food or snack in the bags and the horses sense of smell is amazing. Total respect to the officer dealing with the tourists wanting photos while he is on duty and their often lack of understanding and sense of danger with such a large animal. The horses are so beautiful and I love your channel.
Such a sweet, friendly horse. I noticed a lot of people saying, "Thank you." Nice. It looked like the ring on the bridle snagged the ring on the bag when Tristan swung his nose toward it. He was surely interested and very good natured while they disentangled it. The girl was probably wondering if she was going to have to follow them back to the stable. Ha!

i wish sometimes you regulars would explain to the tourist that when they touched the horses , for them to think how it would be if 100s of people came up to them and had to touch them on the head or pat them on the shoulder .. if they ever thought how the horses become annoyed and causes thhem to be. nervous.. no brains or respect for theses beautiful animals

Tristan is a delight - he's determined to check out bags for treats but he's not really a "nipper", he's using his mouth to explore whatever is under his mouth because he can't see what is there. I have a feeling he might be a stable favourite amongst the troopers.
The first horse wanted petted but nobody is petting him today. I think the horse was looking for treats in the woman's bag. All of them took it very well. A great crowd today!
Horses are Red/Green colorblind just as some people. They see yellow and blue very well 😊

Sometimes it seems the horses block the camera view as if to say I want to be the one in this picture! They also seem to know what it means when the box doors are opened…soon I get to go back to the stables!
