Zed, great video. It would help I think if you could list the actual pouches David used in the video. He offers quite a range and its not always obvious.
Hi, Thanks for getting back. David forward a link, which is very helpful. I did get a reply from the Hills people. They said as of January this year the UK was on the no post list. This is because of tax issues. Take care Stewart
Nice video. Nice to mention the Tarahumara. In the 'infancy' of "Ultra Running' competion, the Tarahumara were the 'premier' runners. Ultra running is part of their culture; running a hundred miles wearing car tire sandles, and 'electrolyte'/body fuel replacement with traditional corn (Maiz) beer. Their tradition of maiz beer, with its rituals, such as singing to the frementing beer are awesome in its own right. I digress from the video topic but I hold those people in awe, and reverence. The way Mr. Friars packs his gear is super efficient, each 'type' 'discrete' and easy to find. Neat and tidy. Thanks Mr. Zed.
I like his pouches and his kit systems. I saw the other videos and it reminded me of TA outdoors showing his pack and pouch system. All are inspiring videos yours and his.
Great pack, I did exactly the same with mine. So much stuff can fit in these it's unreal... You can also attach a sleep system to the bottom that sorts you out for a overnighter 😁
Ah nice I didn't know you were able to pull that off nice going! I only became aware of this pack early this year and i'm really impressed with them ~Peace~
brilliant work m8. the tarahumara is a cornerstone pack. it looks like your pouches make it much more efficient to pack. Check out their newer junction pack for a slightly larger option that is just as nimble.
This was exactly the video I was wanting to find, inorder to get a better observation and function of the Tarahumara from HPG. Thank you both. Also will check out his dry bags.
I can highly recommend Hill People Gear packs and gear. Consider them if you’re in the market. David’s pouches look perfect for maximizing efficiency.☕️👍🏼cheers
@@corvusduluth hello, yes, I live in Kirov itself, almost on the Vyatka bank, a five-minute walk near the springboard, we have a very good view, a high bank and can be seen very far for 30-50 kilometers. Grebnevy - a common surname in our country, knew several people with her, the city is small, so formally yes, we live nearby. I am pleasantly surprised that so far someone knows at least something about my city))
Zed Outdoors no assumption here - just pointing out to the OP that they weight gain would be minimal and far outweighed by the positives of the organisation provided for such a bag - I have a fjallraven Singi 20 which has the same problem - one big bucket with no organisation- I will be doing the same as in the video to make the bag easier to organise - the extra weight won’t matter
Ah nice thats a rabbit hole i'm about to enter lol, do let me know how you get on as i'm open to options as to what to go for as there's so much choice out there ~Peace~
I am very interested in these packs, I have tried to order one, but the system keeps saying. They don't ship to the UK. How did you get the packs. Thanks. I like your reviews.
Hi Stewart if you're having issues ordering then may I suggest messaging David Friars via Instagram to see if he can help - instagram.com/davidfriars/?hl=en
Okay, I own the Tara for 2 years now, but those pouches seem to turn it into a monster. What company is the lightweight hammock from? The size is ace! Cheers!
Indeed it's amazing how much you can get into that pack. Reg the hammock i'm afraid I don't remember off the top of my head, I have put a link to Daids socials in the decription so do feel free to message him and ask him ~Peace~
Indeed he ships to the US often so not sure why Etsy is not allowing you to order, i've just messaged him to see if everythings working on his end reg shipping to the US and he'll hopefully get back to you ~Peace~
Hi Jason, if you contact David directly (link to his Instagram in the description below the video) he's be more than happy to tell you the exact pouches he used. He;s changed his raneg of pouches slightly hence I couldn't tell you off hand, hope that helps dude ~Peace~
You can check out the pouches here - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/DavidFriarsShop

@@Zedoutdoors granted it would definitely be a summer setup but still cool as from such a small pack.
How could anyone thumbs down a Zed video? Great work buddy!
Convinced some people get some kind of sad enjoyment giving a thumbs down on TH-cam
Sincerely appreciate the kind words Jason and alas there's no pleasing some people :) ~Peace~

Indeed I came across Hill People for the first time last year so was nice to see it in person as well as hear good things about them from you ~Peace~
You know you got your kit dialed in when you're making pouches to fit into a specific pack. Can't go wrong with HPG.
Amen to that Freddy and indeed the HPG is amazing ~Peace~

@@andrewzyazev9112 Nice place to live.
Great looking pouches. Nice day pack. But can’t help thinking that it’s just adding weight with so many different stacking pouches.🤨🤔🤨
It really doesn not add that much weight at all ~Peace~
To a degree I guess it would but it would be negligible- the organisation benefits would far outweigh the negatives of the minimal weight added
@@Owl566 You're assuming that everyone has to carry minimal weight
