After This Video was made I worked out I could have picked up Slam Instead of Etam, and that would net another 70,000 aUEC per trip so another 280,000 aUEC per hour but would cost more to fill the ship.

@@NoobsGamingSC on PU, players know about this route, pirates very rarely, but its almost never at full stock or near it. So Buying Distilled spirits on Shadys glenn farms is not a good idea. Almost never sold all cargo to both mining station.
Just buy Whatever laranite u can..10k units max and orphanage to salvage and repeat. Fortunately still decent money.
2nd Best is Micro Tech. there are 2 drug stores with widow, can be sold in near planet on salvage. 5k units of Widow is 160k profit, but its even more known route.
For this route, both Drug places if good on stock and atleast Freelancer MAX, if you want to buy all drugs in store for max profit you need a big capital. I payed 1.6 mill for full cargo of drugs :D profit was over 200k tho for 15 minutes of work.

@Cloud Citizen trade demand is across all shards on server, for example EU server, u are on shard 1 looking at trading console and see how demand suddenly dropped to zero ( player on shard 2 bought entire stock if the commodity)
Anti-pirate tip: TURN YOUR LIGHTS OFF. You can see lights way farther than the radar will pick up a ship.

Pro tip from a seasoned cargo runner: never spend more than 50% of your ueec when buying cargo! It might be tempting to all-in, but if you die or the game gives you a 30k error you'll be shit outa luck and your day will be ruined!

if you get a 30k dont claim your ship and you can still sell the cargo at orphanage

Whenever you land always set your next jump point before you get out of your ship, while you are in the safe zone. That way if you need to make a quick getaway, you are not trying to set jump points mid battle / chase, with a full load of cargo on board.

I hope the supply is enough to keep up with the trading community this time around. Enabling traders to make more money fuels nearly every other gameplay loop in Star Citizen. More traders = more pirates = more bounty hunters. Good video mate :)
YEs this will be good as it will drive more piracy as people do cargo running. and in turn bounties
on PTU its still lucrative, in PU, lots of players know this trading route and its never full stock, so 10k laranite from 045 and 056 to orphanage and drugs back to salvage makes max 100k rotation if demand is good. More likely its 80k per rotation.
EDIT: Still viable trading route tho, better than traveling to main cities all the time.
Yes for sure, I was doing a run on PU and got a 30k in the end and lost a load with close to 1 million. But for smaller ships it isn’t too bad

After you QT to a place, like the outpost, go into the map and set it as your QT destination again.. this will keep it up as the only HUD icon making it easier to know where it is as you fly in.. instead of flying past it and having to look at all the icons to find it.

Unfortunately, losing 1 of your cargo runs to pirates, will mean you have to spend over 5 times the amount you invested to recoup your losses. Since the cargo refactor won’t upgrade the cargo terminal supplies, you will have to compete with others to buy and sell limited supplies of stock available. I don’t see cargo running being that viable due to the high risks, and the limited funds being made available to all players in 3.18.
Yes, It will defo make it riskier and may need to pay for escorts
A simple fix would be adding literal cargo hauling missions. Accept contract, go somewhere and pickup the cargo (and I'm talking a cargo hold not a 1/8 box), haul it somewhere else, unload and get paid. It's such a simple thing that should have been in years ago. By definition cargo hauling not the cargo trading that is in the game.

@@OwlQuil cig did say this will be implemented though no time frame at this time. There should also be a type of cargo insurance to minimise the huge losses that go with trading cargo.
we think there will be more pirates but in reality, its only going to go up a few %. I've been running trade since 3.14 and have only ran into maybe 4-5 player pirates. the AI ones are easy enough to deal with. even in a c2.

The only downside of this, is that the routes are well known and in 3.18, piracy will be much lower risk and more profitable. Far easier to team up and have your own cargo ship plus a fighter or two and soft kill the cargo ship then load all that yummy 100% profit crates across to sell on a ship without the crime stat, while your comrade with the crime stat goes out to hit cargo haulers.

The Orphanage sells Etam - 5,000 units available for sale, 100 refresh per 10 minutes
Samson buys Etam - 25,000 units available to purchase, 1,665 refresh per 10 minutes
Mining Area 45 sells Laranite - 50,000 units available for sale, 2,000 refresh per 10 minutes
The Orphanage buys Laranite - 10,000 units available to purchase, 2,000 refresh per 10 minutes
this means a FULL Hercules cargo of 700 units is ONLY 7 times that you can buy Etam at the Orphanage before you have to wait 70 minutes to fully load your Hercules again
this means a FULL Hercules cargo of 700 units is ONLY 14 times that you can sell Laranite at the Orphanage before you have to wait 10 minutes to be able to sell again
and this is all assuming you are the ONLY player in the verse buying and selling this stuff. with all of us competing for refresh timers, expect to be standing around doing nothing......
Also Orphanage sells Slam 5,000 units and that sells for 240,000 per 5,000(50 SCU)
It's true on paper but wrong ingame.
First, the shop has only 500SCU of laranite for one whole region (USA/EU/AUS/ASIA). So if someone already bought all SCU, it's gone for everyone.
Then, shop for SLAM has only 50SCU, so you cannot fill an HULL-A even if you had the money.
That's why you cannot make valuable profit on LIVE. If you could do this on PTU, it's because nobody do cargorun. As there will be no changes for restock supply in 3.18, you definitely wont made easy money.
What about restocks? Aren't they quite frequent? Admittedly, the last time I tried cargo runs, it was WAAAAY less than I had hoped, in the end.
Yes, I should have mentioned the stock thing, I know a few different locations selling larnite and etam and slam, but the journey becomes longer.
as for the stock, if we buy etam at the orphanage its only the orphanage that has the low stock on all servers, not other places that sell it?
@@VladimirBelykh restocks can be slow, but as far as I am aware each shop is differently stocked so you can travel to other shops, it will just increase the times for each run
@@NoobsGamingSC Yes, shops are independents. So you try another kiosk or wait for refill.

We have better routes than this now, check out the crusader one in the hauling series. I just did another one that I will release an a day or so making 1 million in 50 mins, but in PTU it will be a lot harder inlive.

Nice video. I play a lot of elite dangerous as well. Is there a website like elite has that can tell you what places sell and buy what and for what price as well as stock on hand? And be live and updated? I use inara for ed for cargo runs.

i just ran this with the c2. got no where near full but sold 46 scu of slam and 35 scu of etam for a total profit of 234,250. its a good run (especially for all of you andromeda or freelancer cargo haulers) and its quick. if the supply kept up (server i was on was full), you could easily make about 1.2mil/hr since i only used about 81 SCU of cargo. if you do have a taurus and the extra cash buy as much of the other illegal drugs and top it off with waste since its all sellable at sampsons

I think Fuel is critical because most small fighters have only little fuel. I’d go for Vanguards and Defenders. If it’s short distance trading a fully crewed Hurricane or Scorpius would be very effective, I guess

We recently did a video on half filling a c2 with the stuff. It cost us 3 million to just half fill it

I think you should specifiy that this is theoretical max not the actual max. Like for bounty hunting I did the math and with the sentinel the theoretical max was about 1,100,000 but the actual max was around 700-800k based on random variables like refuel time and other people taking missions and the time it takes to grab the missions. Still a good video but a little misleading

If that dude had meant you any harm, you wouldn't have had enough time to do anything with your throttle limiter so low, staying low in atmo and not using your boosters until after you spent a very long time plotting a course.
Max out throttle limiter to the fastest course to break atmosphere and full power to engines, set cruise control to max, switch to qt drive and jump to the first thing you can after breaking atmo, keep power on engines and let boost fully recover between uses. You're never going to win a fight or get a chance to recharge shields if someone starts unloading on you. your only chance is a jump.

This video doesnt take factors like re-stock time and general availability of commodities into acount. Especially after the patch drops and TONS of people get into trading, you will most likely not be able to get anywhere near as much stuff at the outpost as you'd wish - and with a 10 mins run you would waste half that amount of time just wating at a terminal until it has more supply. Now thats when noboy else is already wating there. Correct me if i'm wrong, but my guess is that you wont even make half of what is promised in the video
Yes Stock is an issue, It doesn't promise that amount only what can be earned on a good day, it says up to, I did ne recently where I was at around 650,000 after 1.5 hours but the game crashed, that was on live servers too.

I did the numbers and the Freelancer MAX has a larger cargo space. Is their something I'm missing that makes the Hull-A a more reasonable choice?
This video is very old and before I checked out the max, the max is a better choice, the C1 is better than the Hull, A as it is faster. I'd go for either the c1 or the max now, but probably the c1 because stock levels may not fill a Max
I also did this run recently to check if it was any good and here is the video, it's better to go to icrotech or crusader now too

Only physicalised in that you can move it about yourself and others can take it and sell it. If in a party legally if not, illegally

Awesome run, only comment is you are limited on etam quantity of 50, think it's closer to 180k assuming those numbers, but that's still 750k an hour without breaking a sweat.
Yes, the limit will be an issue, But I also realised after this video that I could have picked up SLAM, that would sell for 240,000 per 50 units and then I could fill up the other 14 with etam, and that would get another 42,000, so it would be about 282,000 per run, so defo without a sweat could reach the milli
Thats only if you manage to sell the cargo... I have many times lost my cargo... Last time I tried playing cargo, the reward level was very low and stock available & demand was an issue as everyone was playing the most profitable routes...

So it is impossible to make that mill in 1 hour if demands is a problem 😂🤣 but you could grind bunker missions 90k for 10-15 min 😉
What is the fine if you are scanned by security when have drugs in your cargo hold?
I'm not to sure. The only time I have been caught they blew us up because I didn't know how to power my weapons down lol
@Noobs Gaming I am a new player and I tried this, took me like 30 minutes to buy 44k worth, which was the maximum. Then I sold it with a 10k profit. Am I doing something wrong? I had 96 cargo space and nearly 200k credits, but it only let me buy 44k worth. How do I make 200k profit in 10 minutes?
Stock is shared among all servers so if others are doing it it will bring the stock down, I find if the stock is low I will go to different places. instead. there is necropolis and outpost 54 in microtech and nt99xx and nu waste manegment in orison then take the cargo to the breakers or scrap yards in that area.
Would be nice if you could clearly state the route. Like where you bought the Larenite etc. just a humble recommendation for your videos as you don’t clearly explain

It's really not hard to watch the video. lol. He buys Laranite from any Arc Corp mining facility and then sells it to Orphanage, buys e-tam, sells at salvage, then back to laranite.

Yes, It can be but it seems over used at the moment, I did another one after showing a new route and I lost 1 million, I say in it, the orphanage one is the worst of 3 similar ones, in microteach and orison, there are 2 places to get stock in those areas.
@@NoobsGamingSC Found jumptown to be the place to go, but you can usually only get a max of 20 SCU there. But it’s usually consistent since you need to manually navigate
@@McMorganTheMerc Yes I have a way to get to paradise cove, I was there earlier filled cargo and it was spitting drugs out so I picked up 3 bails and sold them for 10k each
Maybe you should kearn how to fly and navigate. I think that would help some.
I know how to fly and navigate, you may hear me say many times, I’m using a game pad and in ptu the controller sticks are not set, one minute the roll is on the left stick the next minute it switches to the right stick, and the modifier doesn’t work with the sticks. It may look bad but it is only because of that. So all my muscle memory from playing in PU kicks in and messes up the flying.
Imaging if on joysticks you are flying and then all of a sudden the 2 sticks switch sides on what they control, or your q and e on the keyboard suddenly become strafe and your mouse horizontal movement becomes roll, r te hats what happens and it’s horrible
This really doesn't work anymore :( the E'Tam is always out of stock or you can only pickup around 6. And laranite I've only made about 20k profit with my cutlass.

Yes, Stock will be the biggest issue, but the routes are good to use to earn some money when needed it will just be longer.
@@NoobsGamingSC no I already tried most of my old trade routes and you basically get next to no amount of SCU even if you wait at the stations, when your just 10 seconds to late somebody els on a different server already bought it and than you have to wait another 5mins and hope that your faster
@@hansmuller7859 Defo something they need to sort out I think, its not good having no stock. They need cargo missions maybe or faster respawns of it or some sort of thing like having to load it yourself so people don't take loads of it in massive ships

For post 3.18 pirating I don't think it will be that much more of a problem than it is now. Especially if they are out there dealing with multitudes of soft death cargo boxes scattered everywhere. The player that got shot down could potentially come back with help to harass them or make a global alert in chat. So soft ship death can also benefit the trader. I say take your normal precautions, build up your cash supply and go about your business. I have been Vice trading and made 1.8 million profit on a full load on an A2 ship. All trading makes some kind of profit.

@@Jasepo Ah I get what you mean now, Yes, We can move the cargo around but we don't load it, I read that it will be coming at some point, 3.18 just has the new consoles and physical cargo that can be moved around.

Walk Larenite isn’t a secret. There are 5 or 6 different larenite places.
The pirates already know where to hunt. They research, they train and they communicate, so include that in your own planning.

Are you worried about pirates in the upcoming soft death in game? I know that is a hull, though I don't know what size. With the cargo exposed there is no doubt that you are carrying something. I love the look of the ship, but the risk bothers me. Anyway thanks for the info. I might just do runs anyway. My toon is going to mine, but I also like the idea of cargo runs.
I see, the Hull A. I really want that ship. I have no idea why, other than it looks like a bare bones indy ship to me. It appeals to my definition of what that type of ship ought to be. Once again thanks from a true noobie player. I just signed up this month and am already researching what to do.
I'm not to bothered about it, I have now decided that I want to have fun, and piracy is part of that game, so if I lose cargo the fun will be building back up again, It will be boring being the king of the empire with too much cash.
Pirates bother me, too. However, I've never actually been robbed, so to speak, the cargo I lost to a player was totally my own doing. But yeah, all could change with 3.18, yet I'd still consider melting my Cutter for the Hull A. Noob mistake? I hope not. (Awesome video, pal, by the way).

I’ve been playing 7 months on/off we’ll say 4 completely months and only made 850,000 probably would have been way more because 90% was lost to bugs it’s sad because now I’m at the point where I find the game boring as there’s nothing really to do but fly about delivering boxes it seems like I waist a lot of time when you can deliver boxes irl so I don’t get why someone would want to do it in a game same with alot of aspects like getting on a train you spend more time eating drinking and waiting on this game than you do actually playing it you can play for 6 hours but about 4-5 of those hours will be waiting loading eating waiting etc
Yes different aspects I think people want some resemblance of normal life. It in space.
3.18 they NERFED orphanage a bit + heaps of people are doing this now so its slim pickings
Yes I hope they work more on it to allow more people to want to do it, but find a way to not have massive ships take it all

Your entire calculation in the end and the title and thumbnail here is incorrect. Your loop took ~20min which means it would bring ~20SCU of each of the cargo loads to "appear" in any of the stations asusming noone else would be there in the meantime. That means a 2.5/u profit on Laranite (or 50k aUEC) and 2.75/u on E'tam (or 55k). That's a 105k run or ~315k per hour, which is still nice, but far from 1M. To fill the entire Hull or 64 SCU you would need to wait over an hour for the cargo to be available...
I didn’t fill the Hull, if you take out the 4 mins laranite and 3 mins waiting on what I wanted to do with a pirate it takes you below 15 mins so you can get 4 runs of widow/etam in an hour, if you did the run where there are 2 places to buy, like in crusader and microtech, A full load of widow etam is around 215k profit I didn’t have the cash to load up full. But I am releasing a video Monday where I did a run in the microtech area with the extra Atmos taking time to get in and out it took 1.5 hours to make a million. 5 trips it took for a million running widow, etam, Neón and toxin

Yes stock is the biggest factor, but it can be done, in theory in an hour but realistically a couple.

I really hope that the current ease of making money in game does not translate through to the full release. Everyone is going to be rich and everyone will be flying all the best ships etc 😂. The game will have no sense of achievement or accomplishments...... The whole idea of these hull spacecraft is to be the workhorse and the only people making the profits should be the companies that own the products created. The Hull Ship player should get paid for the job and the risk they take with their ship as a one off job payment for moving the cargo. They should not be the ones moving £100,000 or 1 million worth of cargo with their own money. This should only happen if they have invested huge amounts of in game time for them to build an empire to be able to afford to purchase huge quantities of cargo or if they have made the cargo themselves to sell via player industry that isnt in game atm. They are afterall the truck drivers.... And would rent the ship rather than buy it unless again they have built up enough to invest in their own ship.
Darksoull made a goodnppont thebotgee day when we was talking, he said they allow this at the moment so people can afford the ships to test them out, I reckon it will be very hard t make 1 million a week once it's out fully. I agree once cargo contracts come in then they may be a need to not have the ability to buy massive amounts of you don't have a contract maybe that way it protects us from losing our money on cargo but allows that play style

One of the latest vids I put up shows me doing it on PU it was the same run but I was at microtech area. I was at 650,000 with the run after 1.5 hours and got a 30k with a load worth close to 1 million it can be done but the risk of a crash is high
the biggest issue with this game is UEC
Because all you're doing is obtaining UEC by trading boxes with no value other then UEC.
till cargo has value as in USABLE value this games economy will never work
i would also make ships manufactured by a process requiring resorces.
no ships should just be Buyable from Stores least not specialized ones.
All planets should sell basic to mid ships up to the cutlass Black.

Well if you see I spent 4 mins on the larnite and 3 mins deciding what to do with the pirate, I could do it faster plus the controls keep switching, the travel time isn't the issue its mainly stock that is.
I've been doing the run in PU and PTU I can move quicker in PU but stock isn't great, I made a mill on a video I will post soon but it took longer because of stock, I was doing a mill run on PTU and was getting the funds up to start the run when it crashed and I had to wipe the character again because I fall through lifts after a 30K
@@NoobsGamingSC Stock, available cargo space, crashes, restarting, respawning, bugs, available cash having to go back to find a drink, tripping over the stairs and killing yourself. Long story short there are a lot of ifs abd buts.

Trading is not very lucrative compared to mining. With trading you are not going to make 1 000 000 UEC per hour this way (and not with that ship), not to mention the risk. With a more populated server you will find stock shortages or some places just wont buy a lot of what you have - so you have to make more trips. With mining, you only lose what you just mined, not your account balance that was invested int the cargo. With mining if you decide to sell refined ore and that is lost, you only lost your work, not account balance....
Mining Is Very lucrative but requires a little more skill and speed once mined. yes this is theoretical, and problems with stock will exist. and not to mention server crashes. I am going to upload a video in the next day showing how I lost a million on that.

Hmm, you did see I earned 100k in that 1 run? and it wasn't full. if I had the cash I would have got 50 units of etam or slam and sold it for over 200k in one run, Its not click bait, its a guide on how to make the auec, I cant be responsible for stock and other things that happen on the run, I can only show how it can be done.
they had Slam stock that would have sold for 240,000, and I could have filled the rest of the hull with etam that would have made an extra 42,000 and with the larnite on top another 38,000, that's a total of 320,000 in the run I showed if I had had the cash to get the full stock

The numbers don't lie, I could say you could make a million mining, but cant account for the amount of content in the rocks, its potential, not exact, the potential is there, it gives people the knowledge on how to do it, and if all falls good it will earn that. if all doesn't fall well it still can earn good money, and its not hours of wasted time, if you find on your first run the stock isn't there you find a different shop. there was also slam in that shop and that could be alternated with etam while stock is replenished. It would be also like saying the run is bad because pirates got me and I lost my stock, I cannot account for variables. The lottery says you can win millions but you cant claim that when you get 3 numbers only.

Yeah no, it is much more likely you lose all your aUEC rather than make 1 Million in one hour. Bunker and Bounty missions are still the only reliable way to make money in 3.18. Trade is a joke in Star Citizen as always.
Always Contracted Missions will be good safe money, especially as you don't put money in up front.
Why would you bother, only noobs do the hacks, CIG will wipe it quickly, they have a script for just that.

You keep saying 10 minutes, and it took you over 20. Your numbers are off, your whole thought process on this is based on everything being perfect, which will never happen.
I Said 10 Mins because I was thinking it was about that time, but at the end you hear me say 15 mins tops, i spent 4 mins getting laranite which isn't needed and 3 mins deciding what to do with a pirate, so that's 7 mins, plus in this PTU the controls on my control pad kept changing so I had to be more careful and fly reserved, 10-15 mins is a good shout, stock aside. that's why it is titled Up To, I know things have to be perfect for it to fall that way. but it is doable

That's not an issue in 3.18, if you watch in the video you will see a cut just as I enter the last terminal to sell, that was because the terminal was broken and I had to close the game out fully and reset my comp in the end, I went back on and my ship was still parked up in the area, you will see at the end my Hull is there but I also had a vulture parked up. Persistence is king, I have had 30k and its been ok everything where I left it

I did think about this after so I checked, I spent 3 mins worrying about the pirate, and 4 mins getting the first load of Larinite, without the Larinite and time used being cautious because of controls messed up, I would be around 10 mins, but I do say at the end 15 mins tops and work out over 4 runs and hour.
