In this video I'm going to give you 50 tips on how to maximize your underground facility gameplay. I have been doing bunker missions or UGF (Under Ground Facility) missions to break up the monotony of PVE Bounty Hunting and I've found that if done correctly a solo player can make over 500k per hour without even selling loot.

Fun tip for looting weapons, the mag carry trick. Those that don’t know, if you are holding a weapon, right click a mag in your inventory and press carry, it’ll automatically swap the gun with the mag, and not register the storage capacity. I carried 20 guns out of one bunker on a mission to build an armory for myself haha

God I went into a clean, high tick server on Saturday morning and it surprised me how much harder the AI was. I was getting flanked, rushed, and suppressed all at once, and there was no 6 second pause while they thought about the meaning of life while I ended theirs.
They were all stone killers and I was lucky to get out with my life.

I learned it the hard way today. Felt weird when I went into a bunker and it said 10/10 hostiles, but everyone I saw was guards, chilling and walking around. Then I saw one guy without the marker over his head, and I thought this must be it! I shot him once in the head with a sniper rifle, and instantly got CS3. It was at a moon of ArcCorp, guards here look like criminals, lol.

Look for grenade launchers if you want to do the drug bust missions, you can take out the whole facility in about 13 mags which can be purchased in bulk around crusader and arc corp. 500 mags I think for about 6000 aUEC. Most of those contracts can be cleared in about 10 min for 60-75k.

Great video! a few notes -
    1. All bunkers have more than one turret with this current patch
    2. Stations no longer see bodies as hostile (my experience)
    3. Remember double click to add items to yourself or equipping a full suit of armor by double clicking the under suit
    4. MT currently has 3 locations that you can clear your CS - SMPC 1 on Calliope / DDV-6 and 4H-J on MT proper.

Being massively affected by the whole crash to desktop issue i am currently forced to also specialize in bunkers and have to say: great tutorial as always. Just learned that i can actually carry corpses into my ship again without getting shot by the turrets.
I believe i can add a few points that also may help:
    - Of course Microtech isnt the only location that offers these missions in security posts, so nobody should feel the need to travel all the way out there for that aspect. Plus, the heavy BlackJac and Hurston soldiers carry the Gallant and Karna. Those things with a 3x or 4x scope and a silencer are my weapon of choice down there
    - Another way way to finish off a hostile that got stuck in his elevator are hand grenades. Just throwing one in front of the door will kill EVERYONE in the currently absurd blast radius (so better move away triple of what you thought was a safe distance... plus a wall corner or two). And there are usually some of them to find in the ammo chests or on the heavy armor npcs
    - For beginners or those who do get killed in bunkers the starter ships with interior are a solid choice because of their speed and claim advantage. The Pisces for example just rocks dropping 3 guys right in front of the door
    - (this one is just for fun) bring a PTV to the illegal occupants mission. 2 heavily armed guys riding into battle on their drifty golf cart is a sight to behold ;)

    Additional tips
1.) Knife kills any hostile faster, even the boss-ish hostiles
2.) Sprint a lot, the dumb npcs can't shoot you while sprinting. This is very useful if you have a knife.

  • @TheCzechmate007
    @TheCzechmate007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

I will add one or two more tips (assuming you are doing waves): 1 - if you want to loot heavy armor and you are wearing one, just undress the dead baddies or guards and keep the boxes with the armor on the floor and collect them after you are done with the mission. The baddies or guards will eventually disappear, but the boxes with the armor will stay (in my experience). And in my experience, the bodies with heavy armor have a very short life span, they usually disappear first, so if you do not undress the body, it will be gone before you finish the mission. 2 - always lock your ship. If you leave it open while clearing the bunker, someone will either steal your ship or loot it...

  • @kolllar2391
    @kolllar2391 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    - Turrets shoot through the floor/walls/rocks/trees etc.. just park at 1600m or more and go with a ground vehicule to avoid
    - Sometimes enemies NPC come to destroy your ship when your inside the Bunker, it happen when the bunker is hostile (evict illegale occupents for exemple)
    nice video man

Subliminal! Missed you man! Love you videos! The drug clearing missions are honestly stupid easy! FYI, it takes only 1 bullet from the P4-AR per contraband container so grab about 20 mags & about 5-10 grenades & you can clear one in about 15-20 minutes. (Pro tip, to keep from wasting ammo, set your rifle to semi-auto; or chunk grenades)

Maybe cave missions next? Here are a few observations/tips on those. The npc's in there that you can loot dolivine off of. That dolivine is different than the dolivine you get from hand mining although in your bag they look identical. Try it out loot all the dolivine from npc's into your backpack and hand mine one of the dolivine rocks in the cave and inspect it so you can manually store that one in your leg armor slot so you can keep them separate. When you go to sell them move the mined dolivine into local and sell it from there. The mined dolivine is 1x unit of dolivine . Do the same for the looted dolivine and its 10x units of dolivine .
This is why these missions are so profitable each gem you loot is actually 10. Also if you do these missions a bunch and you always sell the dolvine. If you later have to do a character reset you will have pages and pages of dolivine back in your starter planets local inventory so you can sell it again.
You have to deal with a bunch of individual loot items so if you don't want that hassle look up "voice attack star citizen inventory macros" and get those going it makes inventory so much easier to deal with.
Also just like bunkers if you want to make it easier use suppressed weapons. Sniper rifles do good here or just use the LMG if you want. I prefer the 4x scopes as you can zoom in enough to get the job done and still keep your peripheral vision while zoomed in just in case you missed a guy and hes coming up on you while your lining up a shot on his buddy.
Be sure to fully explore cause many caves have secret rooms you can get to by going prone and crawling into them and once you find them all you know what all to check if you want to speed run them later.
Sometimes the loot boxes overlap so you can get two inside each other if you move around when you notice this you can open both and loot both. I assume this is where someone previous had a mission and maybe didn't loot that box and it hung around for the next mission. Also check outside the cave I have found boxes just outside the entrance.
If you want to speed run them use a starter ship, loot as you go down through the cave and when your at the bottom and finished log out to main menu and back in. That saves the trip back through the cave, and the flight back to the station in the ship. If you used the starter ship you can then call it back and pay to get it instantly back after you sell the dolivine and are ready for the next run. You can also avoid any ambushes that another player might set for you while your down in the cave by doing this.
This patch you can only loot dolivine from the npc's, the previous one they also had some hadanite so you could make more per run. But they also changed it so the dolivine is found in either the backpack if the npc has one and chest armor if they don't so its quicker to loot them as you go.

    My observations:
    1. Be careful - not every friendly has a marker.
    2. You can equip mags on yourself even faster simply by double-clicking them.
    3. Forget about missions with hostile turrets in 17.2. They shoot through terrain when you're under ground. The only solution is to park like over 2km away and use a ground vehicle.
    4. If you really want to do the drugs missions then the fastest way is a grenade launcher and a crap ton of ammo.
    5. If injured you can stabilise yourself temporarily with drugs, read descriptions of specific drugs.
    6. If you don't want to carry around the big and clunky 1SCU box take an extra large backpack, you can attach 2 weapons to it and fill it with goodies. So you can come out of the bunker with 2 full backpacks and 4 weapons.

Tip for the Clear Drugs Mission: When you enter the bunker, check on the top of the screen if the drug count is displayed. For example, "Clear Drugs 628/628" if the count is not showing, then wait on the surface level of the elevator for the drugs to load, it will surely load in 5 minutes. Once the count shows up, you can go down and proceed. If you continue the mission without the drug count showing up, it gets bugged, and you will have to abandon it.

If you have a Redeemer or other 200k+ shield ship, you can put your shield full forward and send most of your power to it. This will allow you to very casually and without stress, take out all the turrets and then land right in front of the building as usual. This greatly cuts down run time.

The bunker missions don't work. Bunker turrets don't have a targeting pip for fixed weapons STILL! 3/4 times that I do them, the enemies don't spawn correctly or get stuck in the walls. Nothing more frustrating than having 1/10 enemies left and you can't finish the mission, not to mention what a shocking time sink the looting system is. It's more efficient to run through the bunker (when it works) without looting anything and rather buying all your stuff at the station rather than trying to click and drag individual items over that don't even sort and stack when you click the sort button. You can't sell ammo and guns you try sell are worth like 12AUEC. And the Drug mission, having to destroy 600 individual boxes, oh God. They need to get their shit together.

  • @Mafia89867

TIP: When looting weapons and other items from the loot boxes, if you directly place it onto your body then you will lose all the attachments. If you drop the item onto the ground directly from the box and then pick it up all the attachments will stay on.
Example: If you find a sniper and directly equip it then the scope and magazine will disappear but if you drop it on the ground first from the box and then pick it up, all the attachments will stay on.

as of 3.17.3, landing within range of the turrets (sub 1500m) while using the terrain to hide your ship, the turrets will attack it and kill it once you start to approach on foot or by vehicle. This has been my experience using the pices/100i/avenger/cuttlass/MSR. (Terrain being just the ground such as a hill/canyon.) However, if the ship is behind a ground asset like a rock, this doesn't happen. Great for small ships. For larger, park outside the 1500m range and use a ground vehicle to approach or on foot. This has been my experience these last few days with MT or Crusader bunker missions. Parked my MSR on a hill 1490m from the bunker. Turrets started firing at it once i was on approach in my ground vehicle. couldn't get back to my ship in time lol.

Oh, 1 more tip - if you happen to have faction with Vaughn - if you're doing bunkers and you find that they aren't showing up in contracts often, or it's always minor/defend and no moderate/serious are showing up, those locations are shared with Vaughn's UGF assassination missions. Doing the Vaughn kills at those locations will flip them back to regular legal-type UGF missions (which you can then do without having to go anywhere) - you just have to take down the comm array first to avoid the crime stat. The comm array being down also means no crime stat for friendly fire, so you can go full Cornholio if desired. There are also missions to take down the arrays that pay 25k. That also might be a good 'next' guide, Vaughn rep.

I'm up to rank 3 or 4 after a couple hours of doing missions solo, I was already 2.5 or so, so I didn't get much really, but The turrets can really be a PITA. I only just learned that the missions were spread (though I figured they were at least not given to everyone at the same time). One tip I had was that with some of the missions , that have guards, you can quite literally go close to the building, back off and park, and wait. if it takes longer than 5-10 minutes, you can go in and finish the job, but usually the security AI takes care of the 9t... I personally don't have the patience, but I went afk for about 5 minutes and came back to 2/10 and I waited, and sure enough, the mission ended and I got paid for sitting outside in my ship. I did miss loot, but with the luck i'm having with SC lately and having 16008 99% of the time again, (unplayable error that stops you from getting in-game), I find myself taking what I can get... grinding hurston rep is also preferable, since most planets you need a helmet or you'll freeze or can't breathe in general. I only recommend hurston or MT, since you don't absolutely need a helmet on those planets, idk about arccorp (or even if it has bunkers).
Oh, and in the lower missions, almost any pistol will 1 or 2 shot headshot every 9t even with heavy armor... Idk about later, but I have been doing them all with a pistol and looting p6lr/fs9/etc etc and taking them back to hurston for later use....when I can play that is.

The drug box missions can be done quick enough using an LMG and enough ammo, one shot usually destroys the box. A Demico is king here as you can reliably single shot, unlike with the FS-9. Drug box missions will also have significantly more red chests, so if you are stocking up on heavy weapons, such as railguns, you can get one reliably every few missions (also grenade launchers, sniper rifles and rocket launchers). Most important for the drug missions: Youll have to wait up to 5 minutes in the elevator, until the timer starts, otherwise not all drug boxes will spawn and you wont be able to complete the mission. This is a serious drawback, but still beats the normal defend missions when it comes to the amount of red chests as nearly every drug stand will have a red chest. Always have a backpack, preferably medium/heavy. Loot the enemy and friendly dead for their medium and heavy helmets, they fetch good money on top of what you get for mission completion. Look for scopes in the boxes, FS9 or P4 can equip 4x scope or lower, there are plenty in the bunker missions. With a backpack, you got essentially 3 slots for weapons. The 3rd weapon will be discarded when you are entering the ship or the vehicle, however, on vehicles like the Cyclone, there is a weapon rack slot behind the seats on both sides. Make sure you have at least one weapon on you when you attempt to remove them, without one SC wont like the idea. Have a staging area on one of the moons for amassing items, Like Research station Deakins on Yela or Mcgrath on Clio, store your stuff there and you have vehicle pads. Drop your loot after every 3-5 missions there and dont forget to hunt down all grey and red chests in the buildings for more armour, clothes, tools and insane amounts of food and drinks. You can quickly amass insane amount of supplies this way. And a bit of advertisement: If you die and your gear is valuable or very rare, get to the MEDRUNNER discord and log a call for revive/rescue. If your gear is not that valuable, we will still revive and extract you :)

Another bug work around. Sometimes the spawn flow can be halted by a friendly npc standing inside an open spawn closet. If no other npcs are present you can go behind them knock them out and drag them out of the closet (doing it this way I didn't get a crime stat ymmv), then head back to the elevator and the mission should update.

Very useful video 👍 and I add an work around/tip for mission with restricted area - land more than two km around the bunker because turrets have an issue and can ignore the terrain or others obtascles and blow your ship. And for the drug destruction in the moment the mission is bugged out and can't be completed.

something funky about hiding behind mountains is that once you leave the ship the shots from the turret goes through the mountain and hit your ship. It was in crusader and I am not sure if its just me, but I would rather destroy the turrets with something like connie or ride a golfcart.

Not related to bunker missions specifically but if your ship is damaged/out of fuel or munitions and the pad you landed at is bugged and saying you don't need to restock any of those: Exit the pad or hangar, deploy countermeasures like noise and decoys, and reland. This should reset but note that some places don't allow you to use countermeasures. I find it easier to do at ports in space rather than planetside locations

Thanks for the breakdown on missions Subliminal!! Always great to see in-depth content from a no-nonsense creator. Love the straight-forward rankings of ships and breakdowns on providing the facts on earn rate/reputation gain, and allowing viewers to make their own (now informed) decision on what they want to focus on!
I did the ghost hollow mission on MT the other night and it was like a true horror game experience, immersion was amazing until I got killed by an invisible guy on the roof of which we visually cleared using ship when landing, and had a second player on the roof for longer than 2 minutes. Could just be my graphics settings, could be connection to server. Idk.
I constantly die to invisible enemies in bunkers, sometimes confirmed by other friends in party that they shoot me through walls. Might take a break from trying FPS and stick to ERT&gERTs in eclipse/retaliator and VHRT&gVHRT in Sentinel/Ghost. Maybe sprinkle in the occasional combat assistance beacon if I can manage to accept it before other players read "[HIGH THR-"

I like the Moderate Threat bunkers as they are only 2 more tougher bad guys for the extra 15k. Serious threat missions have another stage with 8 bad guys, so it is not really worth the extra 15k to me. You can also pickup an extra FS9 from one of these guys.
Hurston bunkers also work well and are not too tough to spot the guards with the markers now. The game runs well there and access and landing by ship is easy.
ArcCorp sucks! The game just seems to run badly and it is real tough to not accidentally shoot the guards.

I found on my runs the tactical light and the laser pointer both very useful. I just can not decide which i prefer so I switch them a lot. The laser pointer enables to shoot faster out of the hips with any gun. When using the tactical light it seems the NPCs shoot later or not at all. Together with the silencer it is a very useful combination.

Still prefer the Carrack, it's not that much slower and worth he time saved by respawning there. As of now bunker turrets can shoot through the terrain so where those turrets are controlled by hostiles you should park out of range of the turrets about 2km to be sure I think.

Will our reputation remain persistent forever (as far as we know), through any and all future patches and releases? Because there's no way I would sink my time into anything beyond T3 bunker missions if there's a chance I could have that reputation reset or lost...

    • @temushin

I doubt they would make that guarantee, and they'll definitely reset it before going live, but its persistence isn't tied to equipment or auec persistence, so there will be fewer reasons to reset it.

Absolutely amazing tutorial video! I learned a lot of things that I am going to try later.
I really love the Freelancer MAX for the bunker missions.
It has enough room for a crew and ground vehicles, and it can fly pretty fast in atmosphere, although it's not very maneuverable.
It should be possible to take down turrets with the MAX, but I haven't tried that yet.
Is there a planet that is better or worse for bunker missions?
You already mentioned the white armour of the MT guards.
For example can you do the missions faster around Arccorp and Crusader, because the bunkers are on moons?
During 3.17.2 I started doing these missions at Microtech, but they didn't seem to spawn often enough, so I moved to Hurston.

11:48 - I always keep about 2000 uSCU of enemy armor - load up a pieces - destroy it and get a 2000 uSCU box - they seem to have wheels on the corners or something because when running with it using a tractor beam, they roll very smoothly and fast on the ground where sometimes I can't keep up with it - lol. You can fit 2 of them very nicely in a Pieces. Also, there's currently an exploit (that has been reported and repeated by myself and others) where you don't even need the cargo box. Not gonna explain it as it shouldn't exist and probably won't soon.
13:27 - before selling enemy armor - you have to empty the loot out - or the stores will not accept the sale.

thx Sub, learned a couple things, always enjoy your vids and streams; but I do NOT agree with your "don't use medguns on youself, pens are faster" assesment: 1st: medpens sometimes do NOT function, then you need to "wheel" another one; 2nd: aim medgun on yourself (press b while holding it) and then press "4" again to grab the multitool if you have one equipped; then grab your weapon; now, when you press 4 again, you will have your medgun in hand immediately aiming at youself and you can heal; all you have to indoctrinate yourself to is: aim at yourself, press 4 again, before grabbing weapon! It works, I promise you; see you all in the verse...

This video offers very useful bunker tips and tricks. However, it does not offer advice for using bunkers to reach the 500k per hour threshold, making this video's title misleading.
From my experience with all tiers of bunker missions, I do not see how 500k per hour is possible. Even if the missions do not get bugged and you don't attack security, the upper-tier missions have a small cooldown in the contract manager, so you can't get the 90k ones back-to-back, for instance. It is possible to rotate between the 75k and 90k missions, so that when you finish a 90k mission and then a 75k mission, the next 90k mission should be available, but even then, reaching 500k per hour is a tall order.
    One correction: The 90k bunker missions have 4 waves of enemies, where the number of enemies per wave is 6 - 8 - 8 - 8, not 6 - 6 - 8 - 8.
