    I love it when you hone in on an aspect or feature of Blender that is either less understood, or not utilized to its full extent. Thanks again for another one of these. I look forward to any other ones you find!

    Thanks! Incremental snapping adds (or subtracts) values that are multiples of the viewport grid to the current transformation values.

    Great tutorial for a feature I never noticed before, but after watching your tutorial, I can see how useful it can be. I've had Blender installed on my computer for years, but avoided using it because it seemed impossibly difficult to learn. A few months ago, I decided it was the only program that provided a way to do something I desperately needed, so I dove in and started learning it, almost entirely from YT tutorials. I must say, yours are among the best I've seen. There are so many out there trying to show something in 1-2 minutes, where they go through the steps so fast you have to rewatch, pause, etc. and end up taking an hour to watch a 2 minute video. I've progressed pretty far in the last couple of months, but I've only scratched the surface of what Blender can do. I've become very good at the the things I originally needed Blender for, but tutorials like yours expands my knowledge, and motivates me to keep learning more. Thanks!

    For some reason it works with regular cubes and stuff, but with a bunch of joined objects (a hinge made of cubes and cylinders), it refuses to snap to anything but the origin.

    If you are having problems with snapping to rotation, even when the normals are pointing the correct way add a new object and choose snap to world instead of snap to view. It seems when you choose snap to view when adding an object it won't align correctly to the object you are trying to snap it to when using snap to rotation.

    how can you be so good at every aspect of the program? your tutorials and tips cover everything. can you give me/us some advices when should we start a freelancing career if the resources are so unlimited to learn I feel like I'm not good enough no matter how much I learn theres still a lot of things I don't know... or share your experiences. I really like your videos regardless of what you are teaching us ❤

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Actually there is a lot of Blender, and 3d art, that I don't have much experience with. I have so many things that I want to learn and get better at. But also keep in mind that I've been constantly using Blender for 6 and a half years.
      I think the internet also gives a false perspective on people, because everyone is just posting the best stuff, or the best part of there lives, and no one see's all the failed attempts or learning process. So if your always comparing yourself to the artwork online, you will feel like your not good enough.
      I understand how you feel, about feeling like you don't know enough about Blender, and so you might feel like you need to keep learning. But I'd say you just need to start to do whatever it is that you want to to!!
      No one knows everything about Blender, and as an Artist, you will always be improving your skills. And there are also always new features coming to Blender, so you will always have more to learn.
      I've actually learned so much more about Blender since starting my TH-cam channel 3 years ago, and I have so much to learn still. And making tutorials has helped me to learn Blender even deeper.
      So you will eventually need to just come to a point, where you decide to start seeking out freelance jobs, or doing whatever it is what you want to do. And you can continue to improve your skills as you go.
      Hope this helps. : )

    new menu in blender 4.0 ... maya / houdini background, try understand the basic is hard in blender.
    What I dont understand how to get this pivot on the center bottom on a cilinder for example, or to bring the cilinder directly on the grid so scale measures like .23546 is no issue. Now when I snap to face or align the rotation to the target (Normal of the other object) its half of the cilinder thats above my face of a simple cube.
