Warner Bros could easily make a superman game with rocksteady but what they probably meant by it being too ambitious is the game would be difficult to balance because superman is almost invincible. what rocksteady could do is that superman gets poisoned with krpytonite and that he can take damage from enemies but still use his powers.

I actually like that he takes off his glasses like a gentleman before incenerating stuff with his eye beams.

To make a really good and challenging Superman game it would be necessary to add a “limit” to a limitless character: For example, adding consequences to recklessness. Making players conscious of how to properly use powers. Making players truly feel the weight of being Superman and still have to decide who to save, what challenges to embrace and so on.

It’s not that. It’s the fact that nobody is allowed the rights to superman,many have tried. Also there’s no way a big company would risk doing something like this guy (making a similar superhero) and spending millions making it with the possibility of it doing poorly. Plus if they were to make a game like this it would be insanely ambitious so it just doesn’t seem worth it to big gaming companies.

i wish they had a different map like the one showed in the video and i would love to play around with the lazer eyes and different animations when flying
This is very impressive and ambitious so far, while the mechanics and animations are certainly very impressive, it still needs _a lot_ of work to become a good game and not a glorified tech test.
I'm really hoping this doesn't suffer the same fate as many other solo indie projects and never get much further than what we're being shown here/being abandoned.

That would be so sick . Open world RPG mmo with all sorts of races from the DBZ series akin to all the BYOND engine DBZ games that were always so fun to play .
I would always choose the Majiin or cell race and just run around finding the balls when everyone else was trying to fight eachother , I became a rich man like that but my power level was something to be desired 😂
Now imagine those old byond games but with proper 3rd person Perspective like the budokai tenchaichi series , you could have a great fighting game and an open world rpg all in one !

A superman game should start out as clark in smallville. Learning his abilities over time and unlocking them as you progress. That way you aren't overpowered right off the bat.

perhaps when you're attacking aliens , robots or other powerfull enemies he goes full force , and with the human enemies he automatically does different attacks ... it could be cool with the visuals where he just puts someone to snap gently while you're punching freezing and melting the more strong ones ...

I’d love it if you could play as either Superman, Homelander or Omni-Man (characters that are based around them obviously because they could be sued) where they all have their own special ability, and each of the, have higher stats in certain things.

@@luliu4572 Distinguishing his creation from DC's ip was essential in making the game. A punch quick enough to compress air boosting its power would still be a power one could attribute to Superman, even if we hadn't seen him do it (we have). If not for some wacko changes the glowing green of an enemy could be enough to sink the creator in court. It's better this way, well, safer.

I once played undefeated. It was an asset flip with some weird rendering in between the cutscenes but he still somehow made it fun to play.

He can do this because he's an indie dev. I'm positive if this game picks up steam and people start buying it in droves, the suits will be at the door waiting, lawsuits in hand, to either get a cut or to issue a cease and desist (probably the latter so they can clone the mechanics and rake in all the profits themselves)

One thing I love about this is Bioware struggled to make flight work/make it fun in Anthem with a full development team and just some guy in Japan nails it all on his own.
In an actual fully fledged game, it's much more complicated than we'd probably think.

Yo a game for both sides you can be city saver or a city destroyer in both gameplay you encounter pretty much the same bosses and enemies but when you are bad they work for government and when you are good they are the criminals. Also making the activity change, like when you acting good ppl will cheer you up and help you find side quests but when you are bad, people will run away or even will be a city lockdown that means even less ppl to interact and kill. It can be indicate by blood on hands (very metaphorical) and can be change by helping people and saving them

I want to see a game that start from the beginning where a man with a power of superman live and have to choose from every single tasks he doing or what happened with him that makes him a villain or a heroes. And if he becomes heroes, villains will fight them. If he becomes villain, every heroes will fight him. I want also a redemption arc on it.

I'm really glad that the developer is working on this game still, this guy proved there can be a superman game and didn't need a huge billion dollar company to help him. Hopefully one day, he makes a full game and becomes as big as WB and Rocksteady.

After 4 month and then i can't back here to say:
Invincible: The game
The smooth flying animation reminds me of MCU Ikaris, hell even how he dresses resemble Ikaris when he was in the Amazon jungle
This is definitely one of those projects “if it seems to ambitious, it probably is”
The developer is asian nothing is too ambitious for them
To pull this game off with the amount of stuff shown in the demo they'll need an insane amount of money else it'll have to be scaled back.
