it's a long time that said an open world game based on SuperMan is under development by Rocksteady and Warner Bros, in this video we tried to imagine this possible Game in Unreal Engine 5 with High End Graphics Features Such as Ray Tracing, Lumen, Nanite and More
A game in which you can leave the planet at any moment and move quickly through it
It may be unlikely that this game will happen, but it is possible to imagine it

This is what game developers SHOULD be doing with characters that have abilities. Open world action on a massive scale. Finally, the technology is here for it. If any company would like to start such a game, let me know. I have been waiting to do these ideas for decades now. I work as an animator at a game company right now.

Yeah creating video games is hard buddy. Overscoping is how not to release your game in a reasonable time. Many companies have ideas like that, but it's easier said than done.

I just want them to do an accurate version of NYC, and Spiderman comes close but it's not an exact replica. Creating an accurate Earth will be ridiculously difficult to do!

It'll be an earth-sized, open-world, fantasy, sandbox, survival game. Hopefully it lives up to even just some of the expectations, then it'll take the gaming world by storm.

Making a game based on Superman is incredibly difficult, because there’s only really 2 options: you’d have to severely nerf his powers so the enemies can pose a challenge, or it would have to be Grand Theft Auto: Superman Edition

@@Bingo_the_Pug Also, you can make an option of a young Superman who isn't at his full strength and is learning how to use his powers. Superman gets stronger the older he gets and when young he still had many villains who were smarter and could pose a threat to him or his freinds/family.

For how dark and gloomy the Arkham series (rightfully) looked, this is exactly how I’d want a Superman game to look. Everything is crisp, the sky is a brilliant orange/blue, the shading and lighting is silky smooth, and it inspires hope.
If a fan concept can look this stunning, imagine what the game could be like with a whole team behind it.
He should be a lead developer for a team that can make the game a reality

A game like this must have a very well-structured concept and game design. What enemies do you add? Do you have just one very strong enemy? reduce his power? Do you put kryptonite everywhere to weaken it? He's too strong a character, and any changes to the main character would make him stupid. Do you make a character that has to evolve over time? And the combat system? Like Batman? For now it's just an in-flight exploration game. I don't think it's impossible but you need a great idea to make it fun.
Have you seen early Skyrim and it's mods? Mods VASTLY improved the game and actually made it to a success it is today... Imagine Skyrim would be unmodable like Mass Effect or Dragon Age...
@@polpettaioI guess you could put like a bunch of kryptonians around the city like an invasion or something, so the enemies would be somewhat powerful, and then just have stronger kryptonians for bosses and syringer enemies. Or honestly using like Zod and doomsday etc would be dope as hell for the bosses

He’s made a cool concept video for sure but this isn’t a game.
When he gets closer to the “planet” the video cuts, most likely because they are using small sphere shapes to show planets. Once you get closer you realise they aren’t as big as they would be if they were scaled properly
Real fans would know that superman cant fly or float against gravity force he just glide after a jump or an air jump, so the one who made this just know what is superman but not a fan

@@afarrel3195 You're right of course but there are creative ways round it - separate, less detailed world map / procedural generation etc.
It would just be really good if someone just tried. I even enjoyed Superman Returns, the flying was amazing and it could have been built on and improved, instead we've had nothing for years on end.

Superman is one of the most popular Superheroes in the world, and yet we have never gotten a good Superman game. That is criminal.
Absolutely amazing! I like how as he flies you can tell he’s moving fast but the frame rate doesn’t drop. Also being able to land and ascend so gracefully, very cool👍🏾👍🏾Would love a Superman game like this.

This has so much potential. It's perfect in so many little ways like the graphics, details etc. It would be nice if a power/energy bar is added and superman can like go up to the sun to recharge at a faster rate if he wants. And also would love to see the sound barriers break while flying.
Superman is so complicated to make a game because he is a character with no limits, he is indestructible, he flies anywhere on the planet and has superhuman strength and powers, in this video Superman goes into space, think how difficult it is to actually do that in a game and do it in a way that makes it light and good to play. and time would also demand a lot, games of
Exploration and normal games take 5 to 10 years, imagine someone who has the entire planet to travel, plus the sun and moon. It really would be epic and break barriers in the gaming industry.
Way too dark. Superman is a beacon of hope - his world should be associated with surreal and vibrant colors, not predictable, sleak and dark shadows/outlines. This is not a superman game, it just has a Superman avatar in it.

@@ibeleveledi that is a fair enough point, but we must also consider what we see as the player, not just as Superman. Artistically speaking, I believe the world should remain like this, but Superman's suit be brightened up to increase contrast. Not only does it thematically assist in his role as a glimmer of hope, but it also shows the player exactly where they are on screen and what they're doing.

People forgetting he has to interact with stuff the way Superman would, whether saving or destroying objects. He can make craters, tear down buildings and freeze lakes. A proper Superman game is very far from reality atm.

Nah this is done by one person you can tell by the fact that the cape flaps in in the wind but in space and the cut scenes in between when traveling from earth to space

The biggest challenge with a Superman game is the progression and combat system. There are maybe a handful of villains that can threaten him physically and they’re all big boss level characters. No one beneath that level is doing anything to him so what’s the game going to be like in between boss fights?
This is EXACTLY what a Superman game should entail! The Earth is his home so make the planet totally playable including parts of space!

If he left the star system, he'd still have the power from the Yellow sun stored in him. There are hundreds of times he's left the star system and wasn't near a yellow sun and still had power. And even then, if there's a blue sun he has even more power. The only time he's de powered is near krytponite or near a red sun.
If only there was an Open Universe Game of Superman. The creator of this video should come up with a team to make it happen and that soundtrack is absolutely beautiful!

Well this is just a video, not a game
Game companies have to do missions, leveling up, and a lot of other stuff. This is just a small scale project compared to what actual game companies do. But this is still pretty cool.

The youtube video is merely just presentation. They can't make a game to the same scale of a triple A title. That's why companies need money and man power. It's not just for show.

Tbh people say it would be impossible to make a Superman game. But I think what you can do is like make all his enemies his weaknesses. So most of his enemies would be magic based and others would have kryptonite weapons.

Yea that'd be sweet. Like he could go to Mars and see Martian Manhunters home (or what's left of it ig) and even have Apokolips or Brainiac's ship depending on who the villain is. Or even a Watchtower satellite or moon base would be sweet. So many things they could do.

They could make a game with Mongol and Braniac as the villains. Have the game take place on multiple other planets where Superman is dealing with Mongol on his war world, and Braniac is causing havoc as well. Superman basically has tk be away from Earth and not be planet bound at all because he's too powerful.

I was thinking when this started, that if they did a Superman gene it would have to be Global and show you to go to outer space, at least the moon and this demo delivered.
Wow! Amazing! A full fledged game is very possible. Maybe a formula inspired by the recent PS4/5 Spider-Man games except it would need more / lots of bosses that challenge Superman. Maybe the main villain is Lex throughout the game's story and incorporated are other bosses that have stories correlated with Lex's plan, Darkseid, Braniac, Doomsday, Zod, etc. Who knows..? Also, Superman is known for hearing calls for help and flying around the world and there may be development challenges around that concept. For sure a complete open world experience of the whole world seems inconceivable. So developers would probably need to be methodical and treat them as side missions, along with others in the main city area. The potential for a game like this is insurmountable. Props to the creator, this is truly a lovely work of art.

Also, this opens up a plot hole. If Superman can go to space, the world he lives in would be far more advanced, he can just do space exploration for NASA and save tons of money.

It makes you wonder what a team like Rocksteady could do with UE5, like if they put in the quality they did with the Arkham games with modern tools, I bet they could make an amazing Superman game.

Fan creators stomping official game companies to the ground right now. DC has so many good characters you can do an open world with or just a standalone game. As fun and good the Arkham games were (still LOVE it to this day), Batman isn’t the only character you can do games with. I would to have a modern open world game on Superman, especially with the technology we have now. The possibilities are endless.
