you can hear the noise from the exhaust. its deffo the Hot side of the turbo. when you took it apart you lost the balance. you might think you have the marks to put it back together but its more than that. it has to be really accurately balanced. better get it somewhere to check it before you smash the bearings. yeah i was kinda surprised at how easy it was to reassemble the turbo. I would be nervous about the small fact that wheels spin upwards of 100k rpm so things would be to be on point. i would think.

First start up you should warm up the engine by 30min and change the oil. Second change you should do after 60 or 300miles and third change after 360 or 600miles. First 30min oil is like soup.

Definitely is the turbo. I’m curious if the hot side is not fully sealed onto the cold side of the turbo and it’s causing a leak or that (whining) noise
i had a rattle on my 03 wrx, rattled all the way from downpipe back , it turned out to be an old wastegate , TD04 turbo , i know yours is different tho
Why change the spring in the blowoff valve? On all the turbo cars I have built, the valve would always be open during idle and part throttle. Once wide open throttle and making boost, the valve would slam shut and stay that way until lifting off the throttle. 🤷🏻♂️
I would deadass clean your garage floors with a toothbrush just to be able to look at your cars. Lemme know if you´re interested, can be payed in Monster

27:30 you can see a slight leak in the axle back at the flange! Just thought I'd mention bro! Crazy progress!!!!
Turn the engine off undo intercooler pipe put your airline in the turbo spin it up listen for strange noise.
After you rebuild a turbo doesn't the impeller need to be rebalanced

I previously said polish to the exhaust manifold. I'm all for leaving it now. The gold matches the yellow.
You should use a long screw driver or pry bar and place it to your ear and the turbo to hear if that is your noise issue.

The whine noise is following the RPM perfectly. The turbo would have an offset noise from the engine RPM.
İ was looking for the same comment of what I thought the problem was.

Siren sound = blown turbo. Most likely one of the turbine housings isn't milled properly. 100% blown turbski

Sounds like you didnt balance the turbo.
Boost leak or exhaust leak near downpipe (gasket) or bad turbo.
Anyone running into problems with that hardwire kit constantly having the pump running?
