@@jewelryclasseswithjen it is and I must say your tutorial is the most clear n explaining well for my need. I’ve been searching from many😄. I have this issue for my several jewelries for my friends ( Even i have followed instructuon and it looked close already ). I’m still beginner and still not selling for public yet ( only make for friends n family since ) . My friends keep coming with the open jump ring 🥲. Thank you so much. Once again . I need to look closer and hear the ‘click sound 😄’ wish me luck . Greetings from Taiwan 🇹🇼
@@linawidhy Be sure to use jump rings that are strong enough to hold without soldering them closed. If the wire the rings are made from is too thin, they will open from normal wear. I like to use rings made from 16gauge (awg) wire for most bracelets and necklaces unless there’s more than 1 ring making each connection.
@@jewelryclasseswithjen Thank you so much for your guidence 🌸. Apparently my friend like a sterling silver , so I used sterling silver jump ring 4 mm ( I tried to fit with the beads size ). I was trying to use stainless steel, but the color look different. 4 times I made for her ( coz she wants to use her beads ) , 3x I do repaired. I was thinking to solder , but then I need to learn more . Do you think sterling silver material is too soft?
@@linawidhy sterling silver is plenty strong IF the rings are made from wire that measures 1.29mm in diameter. 4mm is the ID or inside diameter of the ring.

It's hard to ell without seeing what you are using for "resin earrings", but perhaps you aren't opening the rings enough to get the clearance needed to easily insert the rings. It could also be that you should use a larger diameter ring to allow for more clearance - just be careful to choose a gauge that's heavy enough to stay secure without soldering it closed. Minimum 18ga, but more secure with 16ga ring depending on the diameter and weight of the earring dangles. My best guess would be to try a 4mm or 5mm inner diameter ring in 16ga wire. Hope this helps!
