Sailor King of Pen Nib and Line Comparison

Hi everyone! Join me for this video as I compare the different Sailor 21k nibs available on their fountain pens. In this video, we take the standard Sailor 21k Medium and Broad nibs and compare them side by side with writing samples to the large Sailor King of Pen 21k Medium and Broad nibs, which I found to be much softer and more expressive. I enjoy fountain pen reviews that just show off lovely pens. Yoseka reviews like this are not only a pleasure to watch, the systematic approach you take will actually inform my purchases. I had decided against king of Pen because of a series of (admittedly fun) impressionistic reviews that left me with an incorrect idea regarding line width and nib softness. I love soft nibs and anything around 0.4-0.5 width is perfect for my writing style. Medium in East Asian pens usually suggests a line width somewhere in the vicinity of 0.6mm - too wet for me. THANK YOU for clearing this up!

I have a very forceful grip, with a lot of pressure. I'm worried I might damage any non-steel nib! I have a pro gear slim, and it seems to be going okay so far.

Pro gear slim is a pretty hard nib so you don't have too much to worry about there! Hope you're liking it :)

We have Naginata-Togi nibs and their steel nib Fude De Mannen. We also have their other Naginata grinds but these are only available in-person in our shop.
