    Thank you Andrew for a great video and an excellent guide to the White To Dark Peak route. It has inspired me to have a crack at the full walk and wildcamp next year. I'm not brave enough for winter wild camping yet so most likely will wait until May 2023 to attempt it.
    Really enjoy your videos, much appreciated!!

    That's why the peak district is such a great place to explore. So many contrasts, from the stunning rolling dry stone wall lined green fields of the White Peak to the majestic moorland high peak area. Looks like you fitted all of this in one trip. Perhaps I'll do this one this summer. Was at William Hill yesterday and the views in every direction make a great half way point.

      @AndrewBeavers  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jon..one of the reasons for doing the walk was the fact you get the great contrasting landscapes from the white to dark.the white easy walking & as you say sprawling greenery everywhere you look & then the heather laden moor & gritstone edges of the dark.it's a really fantastic walk to do & i thoroughly enjoyed it.tfw mate..Andy.

    I go with that Andrew - absolutely gorgeous. There is no doubting you picked a fabulous route full of history to. I liked that little dip you found - ideal! Yeah gotta have a bit of pudding...keep it sweat on the hill not that it wasn't in it's own special way. Good outing. Healthy! All the best. Mark

    If you got a Morrisons in your neck of the woods have a look for the "Look What We Found" range , Similar snap but only £1.48 instead of about £5 for the Adventure Foods range, Certainly worth a look

    Clever how you hid the Jet pack in your rucksack. I saw you take off from Eyam. I did a half marathon there once, you kicked my arse walking. Sad to read those stories about families that died during the plague. I heard one lady actually dug the graves and buried all her family herself, because no one would touch the bodies. You could not imagine what that was like. ❤

      @AndrewBeavers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Truly must have been an horrific time for the survivors burying dead family i can't imagine what that must have been like.tfw.Andy.

      @AndrewBeavers  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers Bill..I can walk at a fair old pace so it was a case of taking it all in as i went you soon forget about the mileage as you take in the scenery..The bag is the exos 48 blaze.cracking bag so light around 1kg i think & the mesh back panel means no more sweaty back.my full kit including 2 litre of water the bag weighed 14 kilo & it's so comfy i never really felt it the whole walk.if you got one you wont be dissapointed with it..tfwmate..Andy.
