  • The #Lexus #LS 500 does not have any major changes for 2020 but it continues to be one of the more affordable options in the full-size luxury #sedan segment. Pricing starts at for the base $75,450 for the twin-turbo V6 model with 416 horsepower but our tester was loaded with goodies bringing the price up to almost $115,000.

OK I just bought a 2020 Lexus LS 500 all-wheel-drive inspiration series with the specific color that goes with the inspiration series and I traded in a 2018 E400 coupe’. It was the only build of its kind in America according to Mercedes Benz so it cost around $93,000. The first thing that I would like everybody to know is that I have owned two S class Mercedes Benz. both with the equivalent executive package. So I consider myself an expert when it comes to these kind of cars. My E400 had a 23 speaker Burmeister stereo system in it. My Lexus inspiration series has a 23 speaker Mark Levinson stereo system. I know I’m going to make all the Lexus fan-boys upset but that Mark Levinson system comes nowhere close to that Mercedes-Benz Burmeister system. So instead of getting into a whole bunch of stuff that’s going to tick people off. Let me get to the bottom line if you want quality, refinement, and just pure opulence then you want the Lexus. If you’re into technology and gadgets and performance then you want the Mercedes at the end of the day Lexus is going to last. Mercedes is designed according to Mercedes Benz to trade in every 4 to 5 years and get a new one but the Lexus you can keep for 25 or 30 years if you want. I’ve had several Mercedes Benz I just got tired of going to the shop every time it had an issue which was plenty! Lexus I just drive it and change the oil they both cost $120,000 but at the end of the day I’m getting more for my money with the Lexus.

So I like hard buttons for heated seats but I've been using the auto function (climate concierge) and it's pretty good at turning on the heat on everything if it needs

I hope this guy thrives in his auto reviews. I watch all the big players (Redline, Alex, etc.) and for whatever reason, his are better than most.

I'm disappointed with the space in the LS. Severely lacking compared to the S Class, 7 series and A8. They dropped the ball. The 460L has more space but is technically smaller

This does have much better tech than the 460. But you aren't wrong about the size.

All that just to turn on the heated seats, just doesn't make sense....LEXUS still makes the BEST LUXURY cars for the money....

I think I will always consider the LS460 the best LS. It has a stately design, great reliability, a V8, and a nice interior without the tech confusion of modern day full size sedans.

At 6:03 minutes the road noise inside a 100k+ car is unacceptable! I love lexus, but what is that?

Yep, that's Florida's I4 for ya. But yes, it's not the quietest six-figure car we've driven. 20-inch wheels are partially to blame.

@@carbuzzcom I don't disagree that it couldn't be better i have been driving these cars for twenty years this month and I am use to the infotainment. At least they don't burn oil or lose water like the German cars. If that's all you have to complain about then you don't have a complaint. The engines are like a tank how many have you seen on the side of the road i have seen plenty of S class and 7 series there.

I think Lexus had a good flagship sedan but ppl kept bitching about how un-german it was and this is what they decided to come out with ...they tryin to straddle the line of performance and luxury ... I blame the ppl who can afford to buy the car complain about it or downgrade it ... I personally love it Everytime I see it in person

Four generations worth of these vehicles and I only replaced the starter with 258000 miles on my 95 model. The jury still out on my 2019 twin turbo.

What if Lexus built an F version of this? With enormously beefed up 5.0L V8 Twin Turbo 600hp @ 800Nm with a 10spd AT.
And went aside with its contemporaries:
    -Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG
    -BMW Alpina B7
    -Audi S8
    -Jaguar XJ-R
    -Maserati Quattroporte
Now that the GS-F is no more.....and the next IS-F is still unconfirmed. This has left Lexus without an F sedan yet again.

Please keep the loud exhaust sound and cars build for race-track/ NASCAR wannabees that don't provide any usable function for any real road (besides race track)...OUT!! Also, no need for special "sport" seats and 21+ inch tires... that'll break the backs of anyone who like to cruise for more than 20 miles.
Love the 2200+watts audio system and panaromic roof.....Also, like the fact Lexus doesn't try to push outdated DVD displays with no storage rear entertainment sytems on to the customers....as we can get a much better system with full internet browsing and enough storage for million hours of audio/ videos with better wi-fi headphones else where (and one can attach these displays anywhere in the car for less than $20). Wish the pro-sporty engineers were just told to put their ideas for the sport version as there is no need to go 150 mph in 15 seconds instead of 16 seconds or exiting to ramp at 130 mph and irritating and possibly causing accidents to fellow drivers. One point, you can't get all those options mentioned because they conflict with each other...also, some combo of options can only be had with darth vader type black seats.

I’m shocked that not one of the Lexus stupid engineers could have not caught the fact that the pad for the screen is hard to maneuver and that buttons or touch screen would have been much better. I’m really shocked that none of them took a second look at the enfotainment. Shame
