OK I just bought a 2020 Lexus LS 500 all-wheel-drive inspiration series with the specific color that goes with the inspiration series and I traded in a 2018 E400 coupe’. It was the only build of its kind in America according to Mercedes Benz so it cost around $93,000. The first thing that I would like everybody to know is that I have owned two S class Mercedes Benz. both with the equivalent executive package. So I consider myself an expert when it comes to these kind of cars. My E400 had a 23 speaker Burmeister stereo system in it. My Lexus inspiration series has a 23 speaker Mark Levinson stereo system. I know I’m going to make all the Lexus fan-boys upset but that Mark Levinson system comes nowhere close to that Mercedes-Benz Burmeister system. So instead of getting into a whole bunch of stuff that’s going to tick people off. Let me get to the bottom line if you want quality, refinement, and just pure opulence then you want the Lexus. If you’re into technology and gadgets and performance then you want the Mercedes at the end of the day Lexus is going to last. Mercedes is designed according to Mercedes Benz to trade in every 4 to 5 years and get a new one but the Lexus you can keep for 25 or 30 years if you want. I’ve had several Mercedes Benz I just got tired of going to the shop every time it had an issue which was plenty! The Hybrid LS with that price tag is their top trim. It has all the options Lexus could offer. Joe, the Mercedes S Class is the king of full size luxury sedans. The Asian brands simply can't compete with the heritage and panache of Mercedes S Class. Even better, the Maybach version.
S-class is still the king with sales to back it up!
@@normt5463 The LS is underrated. Skip the hybrid model, but the normal gas-powered one is very unique and pretty competitve in terms of a "base engine" in a full-size sedan. Not to mention that interior.
@@ARentz07 the Lexus LS 5th gen is one of the worst ever!
Can’t help but see Frankenstein with those two knobs on the dash console
It looks aggresive and sick. I love it
Thank you for the great content, Joe!
You are so very welcome!
May dream car right here, right here. Immaculate. Opulent. Refined.
This looks better than the new facelift 2021 Lexus Ls . What do you think?
I agree with you!
Lexus keep it up keep building LS500 make it better
AGREED!
“The lazy boy seats with the plastic over the seats”. 🤣 That was hilarious because that’s exactly how it was at grandma’s house . 🏡 Great car for those who $114 grand just hanging around. Beautiful car. Excellent review 👍
Thanks for letting me share some laughs and memories with you Louis!
Nice car! Doesn't beat the benz but I would take this for long term!
That is a great point!
These are nice but $115,000 made my jaw drop and I thought I knew Lexus pricing! Lol apparently I don’t. I thought these topped out around $85,000. Great review!
The Hybrid LS with that price tag is their top trim. It has all the options Lexus could offer. The original Hybrid was the 600h where Lexus used hybrid technology to give V12 power to the LS with a V8. The current 500h is more like providing an alternative to turbo boosting the V6. Still, it’s considered top trim with all options included. I hope Lexus offer the hybrid option without the bells and whistles to the entire LS lineup.
I can't wait to be in that Audi S8 cause it looks great or Lexus LS 500
Luxury Camry!
Hell yes! I have an LS500 👍👍👍👍
@@InternetDude What year?
@@daniconi7333 2018. Considering the new 2021 though, they fixed some annoyances of the 2018 I have such as they put in a touchscreen and improved off-the-line acceleration a bit.
'Arm wrestling and tongue wrestling' 😂
You could certainly do plenty of that in this beastie.
If it had a PDR similar to the one in the most recent Corvettes,it would be the second-best road-tripping GT with the ability to share the whole adventure, not just with three of your closest friends, but the whole world, via TH-cam.
Blair Brown what’s PDR?
@@jacobsalvatierra8758 Performance Data Recorder.
Blair Brown ah, thanks
I really like this one. The interior is actually quite nice. I agree don't need a v8 in this one.
Third! Hey Joe! Your my favourite car reviewer by FAR! I never miss a video!
Thanks for having my back and your great support!
@@RaitisRides For sure man! Thanks for making such fantastic videos!
@@AustinC2838 You are so very welcome!
Joe it should have an remote start I work at Lexus. If you push the lock button 3 times then hold on the third time it should start.
Happy to see the 2021 in Tokyo gets a touchscreen. Here's hoping the US car will too. It will be a pretty flawless vehicle after that.
Put that engine on the IS.. PLEEEAASE!! 🙏🙏
AGREED
No put the GS-F engine in it
@@80s_Boombox_Collector That is a good idea!
Well there's supposedly an IS500 that got trademarked, so it's a possibility.
Love mine ❤️
All LS come with remote start , press the lock button twice and hold for 10 second or use the app on your iPhone .
The way this guy reviews cars drives me crazy he never drives them and all he does is show you things you can see for yourself
Awesome review Joe for a beautiful car!
This car DOES have remote start. Press the lock button twice and hold it on the third press. Lexus also has an app that allows you to remote start and lock/unlock the doors if you're not in range with the remote.
Is it me or does “Raiti’s Rides” have more and more commercials lately? That’s when you know Joe AND Lori are moving up here on TH-cam. Way to go guys! 👏
Just in love with the touch buttons
If I had the money and wanted a big luxury boat, this would be it, I do agree with others that the interior does look a tad out dated but it’s outdated in a good way I think. It’s a hell of a lot more reliable than and bmw and Mercedes and it’s got great power, 416 horsepower and 440 pound ft of torque, that’s plenty. It’s hilarious that a 5000 pound luxury sedan can be faster to 60 than some sports cars, come on 4.6 seconds?? That’s great. Great video as always, and beautiful gt350r man! 🤙🏻
One thing you didn't mention is that on the front grill and back lights, all those patterns are actually formed using the lexus 45° logo. They turned them and rearranged them to be able to form the shapes
