So helpful. I've been lifting weights for 4 years now. Coming into my late forties, I'm learning how to keep my joints safe. I was having a hard time accepting that daily tasks are starting to affect how much a lift in my workouts. I thought something was wrong with me. I was relieved to hear you say that this is a reality for all of us. So glad to know it's normal. It's new to me but at least it's normal. You're so right that our workouts should build on each other. I find that I have to do this now. Also something new to me as I'm getting older. Thank you so much for sharing this information.
You may have misinterpreted. It’s only a reality that you’re going to have joints that are 70 or 80… and that they’re less resilient than when you were 20. Pain and aches are only signs… not mandatory with age. They’re a sign you need to do something! Strength training… mobility, work on alignment.. !! Now!! Before it’s worse! You’re the youngest you’re gotta be again now!!
Excellent video! I have 3s, 5s and 8s at home. I'm always combining them (holding them together) as you showed to improvise and increase the weight. I'm having to relearn how to lift and workout. What I was able to do in my 30s and 40s is not what I can do at 50 after a radical hysterectomy. Recovery takes longer, joints hurt more etc. Love your valuable tips and look forward to watching your past videos for more. And by the way... you look amazing and strong!! 💪🩷🩵💜🩷🩵🩷💜

Nice work!
That was really fantastic, Debra. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
If you want to do pull-ups … you’ve gotta have one. If you don’t… you don’t
Thanks Debra, this is an excellent explanation 👏
Thank you!
Thank you so much - very informative. You look so pretty in this color.🥰
Oh thank you!
Good explanation, thanks. Love seeing your dog but I know it's hard for you to tape with him walking around you :)
Thanks for watching!
Thank you Debra, really helpful. One question, is it useful to have a pull up bar, or can you get away with out one? Merry Christmas.
If you want to do pullups it’s kind of mandatory if you dont, you dont
