Violet Evergarden literally changed my life no joke. This anime made me feel seen as for my whole life I have struggled with understanding emotions and people. It was the first that I had seen a story fit my life so well. I am forever grateful for watching this anime. Also thank you for making this video and sharing your thoughts :)
Usually, people don't kill in war because the other guy is on the other team. They kill because the other guy is trying to kill them, or, because someone high up the power pole convinced them that the other guys were about to kill them, or were in the process of culturally or economically or morally or religiously killing them.
You know it's going to be a good day when one of your favorite video essayists posts!!! I absolutely adore Violet Evergarden, and your analysis and interpretation is wonderful to hear. In the most respectful way possible, it's nice to hear that someone shares some of the same thoughts I've had regarding this show. Stay cool and hydrated everyone
This is one of the few shows that has made me really connect at such a deep level with it's central character. It felt like I was seen and that is a feeling that is so rare for me that has made Violet Evergarden so precious to me. I can enjoy a lot of media objectively and I have gotten better at expressing my emotions but the process of learning it wasn't easy as an autistic person. And the common connection of writing made me feel I was not alone in using it to better understand myself and others.
Commenting for engagement, bc I wanna see this channel blow up as it deserves. I never finished watching the series, & thus never knew Violet was nice ND representation. I'll try watching the movie. Love your prose as well.
I really wanted to watch this video, but now I have to watch Violet Evergarden first...I guess I'll see ya in a few days (or weeks). Edit: WELL IT TOOK ME A MONTH, but I finally got to watching it and lemme just say, it's a masterpiece in my eyes. Even though I usually prefer action packed shonen anime, this one was a good change of pace and an emotional roller coaster. It actually made me cry when I watched episode 11. I honestly believe it is top 3 in my picks now.
@@yousifkhaled6651 no, literally just started it lol. But as of Episode 2, I'm already invested in Violet's eventual development and wishes that she finds happiness soon.

What a great show. I wish I could forget it and watch it again for the first time.
Edit: also damn this video has some nasty war edits
I remember watching violet in one of my worst periods of life and then crying for like 3 hours. One of my most favourite anime to this day.
Best anime I have ever seen. So beautiful

Violent Evergarden for me in a nutshell feelings make it stop i don't want to feel it hurts i don't know how to ignore this pain
Forget the story buildings. This show provides more emotional personality that turned out to be dramatically beautiful
